Welcome!
Is there any way to enable usb debug mode without NFC / Paired Samsung phone?
i managed to install gear manager on my sony phoney, i followed a tutorial on installing it on nexus five, this allowed me connect to gear and enable usb debugging.
Hmm
I can't understand what happens. I on usb debug. I flash with odin this: TizenMod-Rom-SM-V700-UCNF1-by-Skin1980-v3.0.tar
Restart. Now working but this is an old tizen os with a new boot logo. adb not see my device. I install all drivers correctly but adb not see in device manager. Just Gear. What's wrong? I see sdb only in device manager.
Tizen use sdb and android use adb? So downgrade to android first? If downgrade with this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2776157 USB Debuging still on? Or i able to access settings?
Cool
Thanks for help.......

Hi guys, I have a galaxy gear, but i have a mobile phone from sony. So im trying to install custom rom to gear, because i want to pair it with my mobile phone. So i cant go to options, because galaxy gear is not paired. I have installed recovery, and rooted my gear, but i cant push .zip file to my galaxy gear, because my computer dont recognize the galaxy gear, adb cant recognise it too. So, how can i turn on debugging without using display? For example from recovery or from ADB? Have you got any ideas? Thanks
I don't understand why you can't just turn it on in settings on the gear? It doesn't need to be paired to go to the settings on the gear itself and enable USB debugging

Because GG wants to pair with my phone, i cant continue without pairing, but my PC why cant recognize my Galaxy Gear? ADB cant recognize too (adb devices)??I have Win 8 and Samsung drivers are installed...

Hi all
Bricked my galaxy gear watch SM-V700 software: V700XXUCNE9
Now i have unbricked it and its working ok now
I am now trying to root it
I put it in debug mode after ticking the debug box.
Go to Settings > Gear Info > and Tap Software Version 10 times.
Go back.
Enable USB Debugging on the Galaxy Gear.
When i connect Cydia Impactor (no device) or odin or wondershare it wont connect, seems like its lost its debug mode.
I have tried 4 computers and also about 10 diff leads
Any help please many thanks
up!
I have the exact same issue after doing the same (unbricked from a bricked Gear, same story as yours)
adb or wondershare connect but it's just like USB debuging was unticked........... But it is ticked!
Hi,
I am trying to enable casting with 3rd party apps on my adt-1. However, first I have to figure out how to connect it with adb. I lost the developer cable, and have been trying to debug wirelessly. Developer mode is enabled, and usb debugging is enabled.
I have tried rebooting the device into fastboot, and just normally start it, but nothing works.
I have tried "adb connect 10.1.1.67:4321" and "adb connect 10.1.1.67", but they always say unable to connect.
Is there somewhere I can buy a dev cable, or just get wireless debugging working?

Google disabled ADB over wifi in the latest update.. If you re-enable it like with terminal emulator and USB keyboard you should be ok. I'll try to post how-to later. I think its in the build.prop
If anyone is still working with this device (I plan to attempt to build LOS 15.1 soon), I just got mine without a developer cable. I'm not sure what command death2all110 is referring to in a terminal but what I did was transfer over a chinese root apk, root it with a USB mouse (sideways) and install TWRP with dd. Note mine came bootloader unlocked, I don't know if they all come that way or if the previous owner did.
(Extra sidenote: Developer cable/charing port appears to be EC U6 but I haven't tested the pinout.)
fyi, they were bootloader unlocked from the factory. pin-out for the connector has been found. check out the adt-1 dev community on g+ for more detail.
I also lost my developer cable and bricked the device recently. The EC U6 cable is nir working, as there is no external power and dosent power on. Anyway anyone can help?.
Hi there
I would like to root my annoying Samsung Note 5. My usb port only charges it does not work with data at all. It has been replaced to no avail. What process / software (ADB?) can I use to root my phone? Once rooted I intend to install TWRP and use a custom rom.
I have tried Kingoroot but it was unsuccessful.
Thanks!
I too would like an answer as my phone has done the same thing. Won't quick charge via cable and an Windows does not recognize the device error connecting to Windows on any PC.
Have you installed the official Samsung drivers? Try that then install Odin. Put the phone into download mode and launch Odin, see if it detects the device. If so, you might have a chance.
Hello all! I have a unlocked Note 9, this is my 2nd one. Both I have wanted to restore back to 8.x from the beta, ODIN, and smart switch are not working. They are recognized, and then when the phone restarts into download mode they basically just sit there, do nothing. I started to think it might be the driver for download mode, not installed right, so it cant find the phone correctly. So can someone confirm this is what you see / should see when the phone is in download mode

I Havnt played with the note 9 in terms of flashing or rooting as I have the SM-N960W Canadian Snapdragon version and there is no way yet. I've used Odin many times to flash and it can be fussy for a few reasons, I rooted my Galaxy S7 and nexus 5 and a few others. My tips would be....
First Uninstall Samsung driver.
Then Download "usbdeview" on your pc and Uninstall any previous USB connections labeled Android or Samsung or related, as this will allow you to start off as if it's a fresh connection.
Re-Install Samsung USB drivers, then....
Plug in Using stock OEM Samsung Note USB cord and wait for it to connect and drivers to be recognized.
If no luck there try a different USB port. USB 2.0 May work if your using USB 3.0 and it isn't.
Try a different version of odin, there are many, also running odin as administrator may help but not necessarily for sure.
If all this fails try on another computer or laptop. Make sure you only select the proper/necessary options in odin.
