Hi,
I have my phone since it came out. I am having a problem with battery. When it reaches 7% it goes instantanly to 1%. Anyone having the same problem?
Thanks
I am having the same issue. Is there anyone here that knows the solution? I've tried battery calibration a lot of times and it is not working.

My battery charge fluctuates, sometimes it goes up from 5% to 35%, sometimes it seems depleted (2%) and if I check in 15 minutes it's 10% and so on.
I'm running CM 7.2 and previously Darky ROM 10.2. Since this started happening I've used a couple of the top-rated battery calibration tools, but to no avail.
Any ideas? Is it a hardware problem? Or a driver problem with the custom ROMs? Or something else?
Try the following If you haven't already.
Charge phone until it says it's full.
Discharge until it turns off. Try to turn it on to make sure it's absolutely flat.
Do this again.
Then charge it periodically so that you keep the percentage between the 20 and 90 approximately, and see if it improves.
Repeat first steps.
Wiping battery stats and similar "calibration" has no effect on neither the percentage shown or battery performance.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try it and see what happens. Any ideas to the cause of all this? Also, would buying a new battery help?
I don't really know the reason why this is happening, Li ion batteries can be somewhat of a black arts.
A new one should fix it anyway, and they're very cheap where I live at least

I passed through Same problem when i had updated my mobile to jelly bean for first time. But after 7-8 days fluctuates is decreased from +/-20% to +/- 2%. And fluctuates are gone after 20 days.
So dont worry, just wait for 20 days.
I have a Galaxy Nexus, not rooted, and it does this all day. 80%, 14%, 78%. All in a matter of minutes.
I'm discharging fully then doing a full charge to see if it changes anything.
My Sensation never did this and the apps I have are the same. In fact I've installed less on the Nexus...
same problem
i also have this same problem, check this thread...

anyone else have this issue? where like.. ill unplug my phone in the morning, use it for a few hours, and it will be at 50%, then restart it, and it will say like 70% or something like that.. almost like the phone is really unsure of what battery life it has... every rom i tried same issue... wiping battery stats doesn't help at all... any thoughts on a fix?

I did after a battery lifetime of 2 years. Took it as a major sign to get a replacement battery. Especially since the battery has a slight bulge.
After I got the new battery, I cleared battery stats from recovery and it's all smooth sailing from there on out.
I recently saw a thread which stated 5 ways to calibrate your battery...i really need that thread but now i cant find it...
can anyone help?
Ps will battery calibration help me? my phone shows 100% in barely an hour and half of charging and even on standby in a few minutes drops to 94% and such.
thanks!

It really isn't that hard to google for battery calibraiton... And it can help.
The first 5 or 10% of my battery (from 90-100%) seems to be way off. After I unplug my phone it will quickly go down from 100% to 95 or 90% within minutes. The rest of the battery's life seems to be normal. So I'm not convinced there's anything wrong with my battery, it's just the percentage that's off. My battery life is normal, and often lasts upwards of 24 hours, so no complaints there. It's just frustrating to see something be blatantly wrong.
Has anyone else experienced this? Were you able to fix it?

Many many users have this and its a base bug so not need to worry. Please refer to Battery Stats thread for few tips. I just posted one either on today
Normal. Batteries charge to 100% then discharge to 90%, back to 100, etc. The reason it shows as 100% is because if it showed what it was really at during the cycle, everybody would claim their phones or chargers were broken.
