Hi, how are you.
To identify the SD card In custom ROM, What should I do?
After installing the ROM, SD card not detected (I mean the internal memory)
Rom that I've tested:
aokp_20140914_jenad_kitkat_no-internal_AOKP_NIGHTLY
cm-11-20140803-swapped_storages-UNOFFICIAL-jenad
omni-4.4.2-20140401-jenad-NIGHTLY
omni-4.4.4-20140914-jenad-no_internal-EXPIRIMENTAL
omni-4.4.4-20141102-jenad-no_internal-NIGHTLY
But all of them got this problem
These roms are compiled for having sdcard0 the SDCard!
If you want some roms with normal sdcard0, get the CM11 By TheWhisp or CM10.1 by TheWhisp or bleached's version!

bleached's version! ? What?
I tested the ROM's.
cm-11-20131229-UNOFFICIAL-jenad
cm-11-20140307-UNOFFICIAL-jenad
But the problem remains.
Now I use CM 10.1
But I want to use CM11 Or OmniRom 4.4.x
From which thread you have downloaded these roms?
'Cause if you go to this thread CM11/AOKP/OmniROM + cwm 6.0.4.5 there are builds built for having sdcard0 the external sdcard.
The CM 10.1 bleached's version is here CM 10.1 Improved 07/07
And there aren't fixes for this problem. Sorry!

You can use it at your own risk, because (as I have tested on my device.. Which model you have? - I have NFC version) if you have NFC version camera doesn't work and OmniROM stops at bootanimation.
Well I've tested all the ROM's. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=5070#downloads)
But they all have problems
My phone version is without NFC
=
There is no solution ??
If you want to internal and external sd, use cm10.1.
If you want to only internal, use builds by theWhisp or ericas (on this builds I have both, internal and external sd, because I don't have such a problems).
If you want to have external sd mounted as internal and no internal at all, use builds with switched card by bleached.

Hi Guys, just flashed my O2X with CM7 and it worked fine but for some reason its not detecting the internal storage. What happened is that I followed the instructions, saved the zip on my external sd card and then flashed it. Did I do something wrong?
Heyy could you say what CM7 version you are using? Plus it sounds like you did everything fine.

Nope, you did it right.
Sounds like you haven't used CM7 before, it's easy to think the internal SD is gone, but it isn't. CM7 by default mounts the external SD-card as /sdcard, where your internal card used to be mounted.
The internal card is at /mnt/emmc.
There is an option in the settings somewhere where you can switch them around (don't have CM7 installed at the moment, but just search in the CM7 Nightlies thread and you'll find lots of info about it.)

I think you are wrong, i am on CM7.1 and by default my internal sd card was in mnt/sdcard and external is mnt/emmc. Now I use FadeFX 1.6 update, which changes this to internal sdcard - mnt/sdcard and external sdcard to mnt/sdcardexternal_sd as it is on samsung ROMs..... (for this you need to check this feature in settings you mentioned) ....

Ok, they may have switched the defaults around since the last time I tried it. Doesn't take away from the main point of the post though. Mount points are different in CM7 from what people are used to, and confusing if you don't know about it.
But only external sd is different... internal it is the same, isn't it ???

No, I was right. (Just installed the latest nightly)
External card mounted as /mnt/sdcard, also reachable from a symbolic link /sdcard.
Internal card mounted as /mnt/emmc.
default install.
Because This feature was introduced from nightly #148 or something .... And he installed CM7.1 wich is nightly #144 I am on this too, so I know how it was after installation.

Nonsense. It's been like that since nightly #1. There were however KANGs floating around which switched mountpoints, you may have used one of those.
Thanks for the info guys...yes this is my first custom ROM and my first CM so sorry for being noob LOL
For some reason its now working. What I did was rebooted my phone, removed the external SD, and it somehow assigned sdcard for internal storage. Rebooted the phone and put back the external SD, and its now emmc...weird but it works now. I just have to move my apps all over the place

No i was on stock... I was reading nightly thread.... This is the way that I understand :
Before nightly #149 thing was fine, but after this nightly users must check option "use internal storage" and then everything works fine...
If i got it wrong, i apologize.

Hello is there a known tweak, that on a stock based rom, will make the extalnal SD the primary sdcard. And the internal sdcard the secondary. Like we have it on cm7.
This should be on Q&A.
You'll use it on what rom?

Sure there is. For my latest ROM (gueste2x GoodBye). But you can also use it on other ROMs with v20-based kernels like HP kernel RC12 or guestekrnL and also FPS I guess.
I only tested with guestekrnL though.
http://www.mediafire.com/?v4jy5sv9gczcn
It is not exact CM7 mount though. Just internal/external will be switched, paths remain the same.
Thanks works fine with 20q stock kernel.
Hey 2X community.
I have two questions that I think nobody has answered and nobody wants to answer. I really don't know what's up with this.
There is this .zip for CM 10.1 which lets you swap the internal for the external SD card. How can I do the same with CM 10.2? Hasn't somebody made a .zip or tutorial?
I read about something that the new bootloader had a swap partition, but it is not enabled. How can I enable it? Is there any tutorial, or maybe even a .zip?
The background is:
I'm on New BL, T-Build 5. I want to fully wipe my device for going to CM 10.2 (TheROM). But I really need the external as internal SD card, otherwise CM 10.2 is not really usable for me. And as I'm already wiping, I thought I could also create a swap partition.
Thank you very much for your answers, I really appreciate any help.
If your posts are helpful, I'm sure lots of people will link to them (including me).
Cheers

Yes, it's possible on CM 10 and CM 10.1 to swap your internal SD (5.28 GB) for your external SD (14 GB).
For CM 10 new BL, flash this .zip: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35809359

I found out it's possible on CM 10.2, too. It's even easier. You just have to activate an option in the storage settings.

Could you please tell how do you swap sd-cards on CM 10.2? I try to find the option you told in storage settings but the only option i found was the type of connection with the pc.

Of course! You just have to tick this option at the top and reboot.
I'm on TheROM build 20, I don't know if it's the same for clean CM 10.2.

CM 10.1 don't have this option, but now i'm using TheROM too. Problem solved
I have jena (NFC) model and as many other people I had mount problems with CM11 and CWM6.0.4.5. Specifically, internal sdcard could not be mounted.
So I decided to do the following:
I modified theWhisp's CM11 and CWM 6.0.4.5 builds and also Erikcas's OmniRom and AOKP builds and made them so internal storage is not mounted at all (as it could not be mounted either way) and external storage is mounted in sdcard0.
Of course I take no credits. All credits go to theWhisp and Erikcas for their hard work.
How to flash:
taken from theWhisp's thread:
How to install:
1) ClockWorkMod 6.0.4.5 is required to install this ROM!
2) Download ROM .zip
3) Download Google apps (optional)
4) Put both .zip files on your device (either internal or external storage)
5) Boot your device into recovery mode
6) Make nandroid backup (if needed)
7) Wipe data/factory reset (not needed if installing above previous cm11 build)
8) Format /system (only if the previous ROM is not the same CM version)
9) Install the ROM .zip file
10) Mount /system, install Google apps
11) Done.

I will keep modifying and uploading latest CM11 build until a fix for internal is found.
So, enjoy CM11 (and have a great new year )

@rhisendark test this. THIS IS FOR SWAPPED STORAGES!

First flash cm, then framework, and then reboot.
I modified latest build to use only external storage. Is anyone using this mod anyway? Because if nobody does, there is no reason to upload.

This has to do with the framework-res.
Just read first post and follow EXACTLY those steps..
oh. I wiped data. now trying without wiping anything. will get back to you once its done.
edit: ahaaha just installing rom worked. internal storage and usb now changed places.
i don't see external sd card in settings or in any file manager, but i see it in recovery.
i have CWM 6.0.4.4
and i just fresh installed cm 11 first official nightly.
i have 32GB class 10 sd card
is this i'm doing something wrong or a fault in cm nightly?
i tried to click on mount sd card in settings menu, but it doesn't work.
i see sdcard1 folder in es file manager but that is empty, but my card has got data on it which i can see in recovery.
when i connect my phone to pc, it only show internal storage.
is there any solution for it?
Please, before asking question, check the CM thread first.

Does the camera works man,i think your sd card will work gradually it's just a nightly version give some time to improve.
camera is working at my first look
Exactly the same problem here. Everything works well except for the following features:
- SDCARD (32 GB here) does not show
- Privacy Guard freezes and it shows the status icon even if the app that uses it has been closed
No other bugs so far. Everything works with iodak v9 kernel.
