BP7X

Has anyone tried BP7X 1680mah battery on XT720?
I think this battery is for MS and MS2 (BP6X), and since we share the same battery this BP7X might work on XT720.
The only problem is where to get new battery cover,
MS2 uses the same battery as the XT720...
@Visatus
that´s for sure..but the BP7X is a tiny bit thicker, therefor it usually is delivered with a new backcover for the MS2
and this is "our" problem..where to get a fitting XT720 battery cover, which can cope with the thicker body of the battery

I'd like to know if this battery is any better than the stock one, too.
I like that you don't need a larger back cover with this ebay one.... Anyone any experience with this battery? Also, with the larger batteries that DO require an extended back cover, how is NFC affected?
NFC won't work, because NFC antenna is in the original back cover.

you actually get nfc antenna included in custom cover, for example see here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tg0ZZNk15NM
so nfc should work.

I googled this batteries, they dont seem low cheap *hit as golden batteries, but just google mpj battery s2 and I just see bad reviews of this battery, they dont provide 50 % of declared mah.
Sad, it seemed too good to be true. :/
Edit: This might be something? 2500mah: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2500mAh-Rep...040?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item27d5bb3b98
There are varieties of extra capacity batteries for 4X, up to 4800 mAh @ 3.7V, but most require some custom back cover which usually doesn't include NFC anntena, and the true capacity is in question as is the quality (longevity) of these batts. Mugen's deal is genuine (from various reviews and remarks), the back cover has NFC, but the price is just insane, $90 for the cover and battery! And they're not that great:
Good battery but new case not good

The extended battery is about 20% better than original but case is not a great fit. The phone is LG 880 HD Optimus. Battery is costly for what u get.

Just 20% better autonomy from a doubled amount of mAhs is a failure.

Yeah, I'm thinking the $90 for a freaking battery is way overkill on the price tag. Unless that thing had a mini-arc reactor that can power the phone for a whole year without any slowdown, then the price is warranted. I've switched my original battery for the Onite 4800mAH and the performance is just about as impressive as the touted Mugen one for more than half of the Mugen price. Average non-heavy use on a single charge goes up to at least 2 to 2.5 full days to reach zero charge.
I've also played around batteries of varying sized from the gold 2450mAH up to the 4800mAH that I now use and I have noticed that depending on which battery you use, the phone either heats up insanely fast or rarely heats up at all. The gold 2450mAH battery I have has just as much of a pitiful charge as the original battery that came with the phone but for some reason, the recorded temp rarely strays between 77°f to 88°f at it's lightest and heaviest usage. The 4300mAH battery also shows the same readings as the gold battery. The Onite one I have that is 4800mAH is almost as normal as the original battery - in that it's temp rises depending on usage from 77°f up to 110°f (110°f at the worst without any throttling at all, graphite heat sink pad included). I have no idea why that is, but if someone here can explain, please do so.
As for NFC, I barely use it at all, but I do have more than one back cover that includes the NFC antenna for extended batteries if I ever feel the need to use NFC.

You have more than one replacement back covers with NFC built-in? Can you post some pics and where you got them?

2500 mAh for that price? .... No Way. This is also to good to be true. And in 99% of all cases where something seems to be to good to be true, it usually is.

Can you link the onite battery you mentioned? and any suggestions to a battery that doesn't require larger back cover?

A larger capacity battery without larger backcover is impossible. The capacity of a battery is directly related to it's size (using same technology). Without using a physically bigger battery it's not possible to get more capacity, unless they invent a new technology. Maybe they can squize a few more mAh in there, but that's it.
So if you want a significantly larger capacity, you have to have a battery that,s substantialy bigger and therefore require a different back-cover.

I have a question. I have a leather flip case.
Because the back of the case is made of plastic and is not thin. Is there a similar case for the 4500 mah battery?

Did anyone tried this battery,I'm planning to buy this MPJ battery or Aku Polar,MPJ gives 200 mah more juice on paper, but in reality ?
And its cheaper than Aku,what do you think ? I have two 1800 mah golden batteries, one doesnt work and I plan to order stronger battery for daily use and leave stock and gold for backup
I can recommend this battery it gives more time of use

I just bought the MPJ 5000mAh Extended Battery for my s2, I'll report back when I get it to see just how accurate this will be. I figured $22 and can be returned, so why not try it.
They actually have their own site, http://www.mpjbattery.com/
Which most no-name batteries from China do not. So who knows!

Got the battery yesterday, I'm fully charging it as we speak in an external charger. The battery itself is massive and heavy (you would think it was actually 5000mah just by visually inspecting). I will update and post back after I put it in. The back cover fits perfectly and tightly, pleasantly surprised about that.
My last extended bat was on my my touch 4g, so I have experience with them. Let's see how this pans out!

[Q] Adding NFC to an existing ZeroLemon battery?

I just got a replacement Note 2 that has a ZeroLemon battery. Is it possible to add NFC to the battery? I've seen a couple of messages from people indicating they were going to try something but no follow on information. Additionally, there is one review of the battery where the person indicated they stuck a round looking sticker on the batter for NFC.
I know ZeroLemon sells a NFC enabled battery - I'd just like to get my existing one working with NFC rather than buy a new battery.
Any advice or links?

I don't have any pics of mine....but yes you can peel the nfc antenna from the stock batter cover and then use copper tape to make the connection on the phone and then to the receiver and tape it to the back of the battery

Battery Replacement

Hello,
Today I tried to replace the battery.
The battery I ordered from Ali looks like this:
http://imgur.com/GgNyfYe
The battery inside my phone looks like this:
http://imgur.com/2xTEzV8
As you can see it has a brown sticker print thingy on the battery inside the phone.
I've watched some battery replacement video's on youtube and some phones have it also and some phones don't have it.
So it's confusing.
My question is. Can I replace the battery without that brown sticker thing?
What is the function?
And why are there phones that don't have it on their battery?
Many many thanks!
That "brown sticker thing" is the NFC antenna. You should re-attach it to the new battery.

The nfc antenna it is not required when you not pay of the smartphone. But better this to have it. NFC Antena is very delicate and easly damaged this flex.

NFC range with battery case

Hi,
I have the Mophie Juice Pack (wireless charging enabled battery case). I bought this one because there were a couple of reviews out there saying NFC still worked.
I'm finding that it doesn't work at all with the case on. Which is a big kick to the balls given it cost £100/$100.
Does anyone know of a way to boost the NFC? Either through software or some tinkering with the phone or case?
Thanks
Joe
It's likely that the few reviews you mentioned are paid or simply fake.
A lithium-ion battery is essentially thin metal foils with electrolytes in between. In addition to the metal in the battery, the wireless charger in the case also features a shield on the backside of the charging coil to protect equipment on the other side from interference from the rapidly fluctuating electromagnetic field of the transmitter in your charging pad.
With that much metal, no amount of boosting the power to the NFC antenna will improve reception, just as you won't be able to see through a brick wall simply by beefing up your flashlight.
Sorry.
Thanks. Mophie themselves said the case "could interfere with NFC." There's no "could" or "interfere" about it. It's solidly blocked as you describe.
I've returned it for a refund. Sad really as it really was a nice case. If NFC isn't a deal breaker for anyone I'd solidly recommend it.
