Hello,
Today I tried to replace the battery.
The battery I ordered from Ali looks like this:

The battery inside my phone looks like this:

As you can see it has a brown sticker print thingy on the battery inside the phone.
I've watched some battery replacement video's on youtube and some phones have it also and some phones don't have it.
So it's confusing.
My question is. Can I replace the battery without that brown sticker thing?
What is the function?
And why are there phones that don't have it on their battery?
Many many thanks!
That "brown sticker thing" is the NFC antenna. You should re-attach it to the new battery.

The nfc antenna it is not required when you not pay of the smartphone. But better this to have it. NFC Antena is very delicate and easly damaged this flex.

I ordered a spare battery from Expansys, but when it was delivered it came without the silver 'holding clip' that pins it in place inside the unit. Expansys have since changed the description to warn people that the clip doesn't come with it, but no one (HTC included) can tell me what to do without it. I have rung HTC who have 'escalated' the issue a higher level, but still no response, other than not to take the clip off the original battery (which I can't see how to do without breaking it anyway). Does anyone here have any information?

I also ordered an extra battery. Can't remember where from and not at a place where I can check. My spare battery didn't come with the metal clip either. I've used it in my phone without issues. I guess after reading your post I'll need to contact the vendor and determine my options. It's apparent that the clip holds the battery secure within it's space. There are little holes on the board below the battery which the pin "latches" to.
Paul, As I see it there could be one of two issues here as the clip not only locs the battery in place but is a useful grip to get it out.
The first is that the battery compartment door may be a bit flimsy and pop-open if the battery 'shoogles' about causing loss of connection on the power contacts. On mine the battery compartment fits reasonably well and the battery seems quite tight in place so probably not the problem though a bit of insulating tape could solve that if it was. (though constant changing of batteries would probably gum up the outside with tape residue.)
Second more likely issue I think is that the battery has no physical means of ejection so you might find it difficult to get out without the metal clip.
An old trick I learnt here from a PDA that didn't have an eject mechanism for compact flashes is to take a piece of sticky tape pobably about 3cm long in this case. Fold over the last half centimetre. Stick the tapealong the battery with just the folded (and now non-sticky) bit hanging over the front edge that is exposed when the door is open. Now when you slide the battery in you have a little tab that will allow you to pull the battery back out.
Only downside is if the battery temp warms up enough to loosen the adhesive so use at your own risk!! ;o)
so at the mo there's no way in getting a spare and useful battery?
i need one!
very poor, htc! thx.

But only 1700mah (main battery is 2200mah).
Spare battery with clip
In UK I bought a second 2200 battery with clip for £29 from Clove Technology (www.clove.co.uk). Expensive? Not really, it included a VGA desktop cradle which includes all the connectors that you get on the 4 in 1 cable plus a slot for charging a second battery.
Hi, I have seen pretty high prices for the Wallaby replacement battery and was wondering if I could use this battery and strip it out of it's casing and solder it to the protection PCB of the original Wallaby battery? Do you think that the battery is thin enough? I don't know exactly how much room is inside the Wallaby casing. Thanks.

Hi,
I'm looking to purchase a 3rd party battery replacement for my 2x. I have some concerns and questions.
1. Are they safe or rather, how safe are they? I do understand that by using them my warranty will be void, right?
2. The 3500mAh increases the size by a lot I am presuming, so is there something in between like a 2300mAh?
The batteries which I am looking at our located here and here.
Any suggestions?
yes me too, same question...

hey Girls,
i have one of them.
the Battery is double of the original thickness,
by charging it dosnt heat but it need the double time for charging,
the lifttime with one charging feels about double then the orginal
and if you look at the production details there is witten "Stable and safety with circuit protection" and i think its truh
the battery cover fits OK but only on top its about 0.15mm to big.
i use them for wifi hotspot in park or by travel
the delivery from the ebay seller is about 1,5weeks from HongKong to germany

I just got a replacement Note 2 that has a ZeroLemon battery. Is it possible to add NFC to the battery? I've seen a couple of messages from people indicating they were going to try something but no follow on information. Additionally, there is one review of the battery where the person indicated they stuck a round looking sticker on the batter for NFC.
I know ZeroLemon sells a NFC enabled battery - I'd just like to get my existing one working with NFC rather than buy a new battery.
Any advice or links?

I don't have any pics of mine....but yes you can peel the nfc antenna from the stock batter cover and then use copper tape to make the connection on the phone and then to the receiver and tape it to the back of the battery
sent from a note 2 running some sort of rom
So this is a battery that I ordered through aliexpress. Seller claimed that he/she was selling me an original oem lg g2 battery.
Following are several pictures: the one one the left is the new one and the one on the right is my original battery.

Can anyone help me to see if the battery I received is a fake?
I can see that the newer battery is thinner and the step is also less pronounced. It also lacks the curvature at the bottom of the battery that can be seen on the original. Does this mean that it is fake?
Another reason why I think it is fake is also because it is unable to hold a charge well. It has no difference to my old battery which is already deteriorating, and can only manage 3h of SOT.
Thanks!
Sorry
It's fake.
Look for a few things.
Pronounced ridges on top
Flat bottom
Dark print
Writing on underside
Label on ribbon cable
Plastic up top, not just tape
Fake ones also tend not to last as long or charge fully.
Any recommendations of safe places to buy new legitimate batteries? I'm also looking to pick one up, but it seems like its impossible to find a trusted seller.
Just go to a service center
Even if it does cost more, it's more reliable and safer
The only LG service center that does phones is in texas... and they wouldn't allow me to pay to buy and install a battery when it was in for warranty repair. Any tips there?
it is clearly fake just by looking at the writings
however i bought one from taobao and surprisingly its holding a charge pretty well
