Hi
I've been getting random vibrations from G watch R when it's sitting charging on the crade. Has anyone else come across this or know how to stop it.

My G Watch R didn't behave like this. Sure it vibrates when receiving notifications and when it is correctly connected to the crade.
Maybe your contacts are covered by something?
Found out from another source that LG Watch doesn't like charging from a USB Hub when hub is being used by another device.
At the the moment I am using a charging dock with my Sony Z Ultra and using the USB pass thru on that to power the watch dock.
I will try pluging the watch charging dock directly into the mains charger tonight and report the results tomorrow.

good to know!
Tried plugging it directly into mains charger. Never heard any vibrations all night. Looks like using a USB hub is going to be a no no.

This is by design and indicates when the watch connects/disconnects to/from the phone. When it connects to the phone, it vibrates once; when it disconnects, it vibrates twice.
If you reboot your phone, the watch will vibrate twice when the phone's Bluetooth turns off and once when it turns back on. Or when you leave the watch on the cradle and walk away from it with your phone far enough to lose the Bluetooth connection, it will vibrate twice to let you know it disconnected from the phone. When you get back within range, it will vibrate once to let you know it reconnected to the phone.

You posted this reply on another subject. I am pointing out that apart from disconnecting, loosing signal etc ( these are not random but as you point out these are by design) that there is another reason for random vibrations. Doing as I stated above cured it for me and several others on another forum.

Just scratch the metal contacts on the back of the watch with a pencil and issue resolved. The graphite of the pencil will help a lot.

Do you know if it outputs DTS/multichannel just like standard HDMI?
You Having HDMI Issues with Rooted ZV8?
I connected my HDMI cable for the first time since upgrading/rooting ZV8 and I couldn't get the screen to mirror. This is something I've used/done quite a bit before the update and I never had an issue at home or in hotels while traveling. Now for some reason the screen doesn't seem to want to mirror.
After fooling around with it for a while, I'm starting to think the problem it could be tied to the G sensor position - when connected, I'll re-position the phone and when close to landscape/vertical the screen will mirro of a few seconds and then quit. Could someone with rooted ZV8 give this a try and let me know if they're having problems?
Here's what I've done/observed:
I've rebooted and re-tried
I've checked all the right boxes under settings - connectivity
I've toggled screen resolution - 480/720/Auto
The status bar properly reports when the cable is connected and indicates the screen is mirroring (but it's not)
Most times the sound will mirror and occassionally occassionally the screen will do so but only for a few seconds.
Tried this with HBOGo, Netflix, and just swiping across home screens
Sometimes the screen mirrors nothing and sometimes a blue screen.
I had to plug/unplug several times before mirroring would start. I haven't tried since flashing to broken out 1.1 though. I think you may have a faulty cord or phone.
Hi guys. My galaxy note turns car mode by itself randomly and its irritating. I even tried to stop in the settings. Freezed it. What is the problem and how can I deal with it? I tried moving to different ROMs but its still the same.

I Hade the same problem, perheps i kill it whith Titanium Backup now is ok for me, i use it not so really.
fixed
Now then guys, i realiwe this is a bit of a dead thread but thought this might be useful to others with the problem. The problem is caused by a dodgy micro usb socket. First thing to try is cleaning the socket. I used isopropyl alcohol on a toothbrush. If that doesnt work (didnt for me) and you dont mind losing the dock function completely you can use nodock from play store. You need root, but this deactivates the function at kernel level. Ive gone from losing20% battery per hour and being woken up by the incessant charging not charging beeps to perfect functionality and a battery consumption of 1.5 - 2% per hour. For information i was quoted 35 quid for engineer to replace the socket.
Hope this helps someone!

When using the phone with 'Stamina Mode' switched on I got the message that the phone was kept awake because of 'Devices'. I went into my Pwer Management > Battery Usage, and to my surprise Devices is at the top of the list, it has used 19% of my battery. It has a red icon (round circle) with a 'Movies' pictogram in it. The information about Devices is the following:
Code:
CPU Total: 12m 58s
CPU Foreground: 0s
Keep awake: 2h 33m 48s
Data sent: 2.98MB
Data received: 9.30MB
When I open Settings > Apps > Running and look for 'Devices' I find three services: DlnaDmsService, PushDerviceImpl and UpnpServiceCp. I also find the com.sonyericsson.dlna service. Does anyone know why dlna is running on my phone, even when I'm not connected to WiFi? What could be causing the wake? I do not have dlna enabled, and I think 'Devices' is a strange name for an Android process, especially with the Movies icon.
TL;DR:
What is Devices, why iis it running when I'm not on WiFi, and Can I disable it permanently?
Did you use throw or media share?

I have used throw once on a Bravia TV, but I have turned media sharing off after that. This was about a week ago, and I have rebooted the phone at least two times since. My bluetooth headset has been connected for about an hour, and when it connects it is in the 'Throw' list. But is this a reason for the phone to use CPU wake time when WiFi AND Bluetooth aren't even connected?
Noticed mine was doing the same since yesterday over 45% battery useage for Devices.
I did work out how to use Throw yesterday, cant seem to get it to stop now
Just done a power volume+ reset and see if it clears up
If you refresh batter stats - the "Devices" changes to com.sonyericsson.dlna for a fraction of a second
Yup this is what kills Stamina Mode if you use throw you're phone will be like this for a while. Even when you turn all the auto stuff off it will happen again when you next throw. Hopefully it will be fixed, if not then it settles down again after a day or two.

But does using a Bluetooth Stereo Headset qualify as 'using Throw'? Because it shouldn't have anything to do with dlna, right?
It has happened to me once when I've used Walkman but I haven't managed to replicate it, but Throw it has done it to me repeatedly.

Hmm... interesting. Thanks for sharing your insights! Tomorrow I'll disable the 'Devices' application and see what it means in terms of battery usage and loss of functionality. I'll report back at the end of the day.
Today I disabled Devices. Bluetooth worked as it should, and my battery is at about 56%. I guess it's okay if you don't use DLNA. Of course this is all subjective, but I do think that my battery is lasting a little bit longer. If you're not using throw I recommend disabling Devices. You can disable it in Settings > Apps > All > Devices > Disable.
Stop Throw
So, anyone knows how to totally stop Throw???
No matter what I try, I keep getting the Throw symbol in my status bar.
No and I would like to know this. Seems like when you load it once, you're stuck with it (unless you disable).

Hi, just wanted to check whether is it normal for the Bluetooth to appear connecting to Pebble on notification bar even when your Pebble is not turned on or not with you?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
Weird, but happened to me the last days...
I got a response from Pebble that we need to force close it.. Although it solved it, I felt that the app should be intelligent enough to close itself if no Pebble is connected after a predetermined time, say after 30 seconds.
The fastest way to do a force close is using the Notification bar, press and hold on the Pebble app, click on App info, click on Force close. Now you're done.

Loving the watch, but ever since I changed this setting to hide cards on dimmed screen it now does the exact opposite. Every time I get a notification it lights up the watch with the full card, not just the text at the bottom.
I've disconnected and reconnected the watch, restarted the watch, and nothing works. Anybody have this issue?

Same here. I came here looking to see if anyone else had the issue. Changing the setting on the phone seems to do nothing. Did you figure out a solution?
I have access to a G Watch also, so I'll check the behavior there as well.
As far as I can tell this setting accomplishes what I was after. That is, when the watch dims, the top portion of the card that normally would still be there is now hidden.
