Hello, since I don't really like my custom rom (remics 1.4) I would like to install back my stock rom (normally the latest gingerbread since I couldn't do any update). But on sammobile I can't find any roms for my country, I'm from belgium. My phone isn't simlocked, I don't know if it has any use to know that?
Btw, my phone is a galaxy s plus (GT-i9001)
Sorry for the double post

Here is a collection of an official Samsung released Roms:
Tutorial how to flash them HERE.
Thanks man, that's really helpful. So I can flash any of those roms without worying about being belgian or anything?
Should i format my phone before flashing those roms?
From my experience you should do a wipe/factory reset before Odin the stock Rom.
I have Odin a stock Rom without wipe and it didn't boot so I cf-root, wipe from recovery and booted.

Ok, so if I understand i should do : Wipe Data, Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik Cache and hop, I turn off my phone, go into download mode and flash the stock rom immediatly?

Thanks man, you're a beast, really fast answer
sorry to bother you a bit more, but I prefer to be cautious with all of this, these roms, more precisely the XXKPU one (last in the list) is I think from poland? Does it have any importance? Since I am belgian, i need the french language haha
Oi, guys, I really need help please!! I did wipe data/factory reset in clockworkmod, then i closed my phone and flashed the stock rom (XXKPU) with Odin. But now my phone isn't booting! Or more precisely, It's just the sequence with the "S" appearing that comes over and over again!! What did I do wrong and what can I do please??

Boot into cwm and either wipe data again or your are going to have to flash the stock again. I have had to do that in the past

Does the phone boot to the galaxy mini 2 screen? If it boots then its not hard bricked
Put the phone in ODIN mode and reflash again the stock firmware. If it still does not boot and you cant get into recovery, flash again the firmware but this time check re partition. You will need the jena or jenad pit. NOTE: THIS WILL WIPE ALL YOUR DATA!!!!!
only wipe data/factory reset & install stock again
No no always when you want to back to the stock ROM you must flash cwm and wipe data/factory and wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache and go to the mounts and storage and wipe everything then go downlaod mode and flash stock then trust me it will be ok

this is probably Samsung bootloader bug, I don't know what's causing that, but you must wipe data before you flash back to stock via Odin

my last idea is: after flashing stock firmware, it boots into recovery, then into system. It is possible to replace the original "recovery.img" with cwm "recovery.img" in the original system package?

Had the same problem, connected the phone to the charger and then I was able to enter CWM Recovery, I wiped data and it worked.
Hi there,
today i tried to install omar-rom. Booted into CWM-Recovery - data wipe/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik-cache, mount and format /system. After that i installed the zip and rebooted the device.
And here is my problem, it won't boot properly, first time it boots into system, i see the app optimizing tab and immediately first reboot, after that it reboots while the motologo is shown or while the intel logo is shown... this goes over and over.
Two weeks ago i tried omar-rom, there was no problem. In the last two weaks i used original firmware with infini-ROM, infini-ROM still works when i use my untouched backup with these mods - omar rom doesn't. Tried Omar-Rom from 06.19 and 06.20, same result.
Anybody had similar problems, anybody can help?
PS: Sry 4 my bad english, im not a native speaker.

Indeed, but what?
Make sure you have a custom recovery installed.
Download the *.zip file to your SD.
Boot into your custom recovery of choice.
<Optional when upgrading same ROM> Data wipe will be required if you came from another ROM, even stock EU.
Select install zip from external card, and choose the zip file.
Hit Reboot.

Wow. Okay First thing first
1. Can you boot into recovery? Otherwise can you boot into download mode?
2. If you can go to recovery, try flashing PhilZ-cwm6-XXLTA-ATL-5.15.0-signed safe kernel with recovery, then reboot recovery again.
3. Do factory wipe reset, followed by "Yes, I want to install a new ROM" Super Wiper.
4. Wipe caches, dalvik cache followed by format data, system, cache, preload in "mount and storage".
5. Flash your rom again, read whether it's installed successfully and reboot system. Otherwise try flashing another TW based rom (DO NOT flash AOSP/ KK roms!)
6. If flashing another rom succeed, that means u might have a bad download. Try redownloading your rom again.
7. By still able to go to either recovery or download mode, your device is still rescueable, so do not worry too much and do lots of searching. I was able to rescue mine when I soft bricked it.
8. IF you can't boot to recovery or still fail to flash any rom, I suggest you flash a stock rom using odin n see if it boots.
9. If and IF everything else fails, I hope @AndroidSlave or @nokiamodeln91 will be able to advice you as both of them are few of the good experienced "doctors".

I installed PhilZ recovery and was able to backup all files. Then I tried to flash different versions of CM without success. They all get stuck at the boot screen now. No more turning on and off. I also tried to clear cache, wipe dalvik something and reset to factory. Is there something else that can be done? What would be the most likely cause for the failure?

Alternatively, Odin a stock rom and look for a philz.zip with compatible baseband. You can enter stock recovery and then flash the philz.zip via update option. This is essentially replacing stock recovery with the custom version. I did this on a naturally occurring bootloop phone and it seems to work, this method also bypasses the yellow triangle warning on boot.
From there, if you want to use other custom roms just remember to wipe /data and /system before installing the kernel, followed by rom itself after a reboot to recovery.
