Rooted with TowelRoot; Firmware Update fail 0% red letters "ROOTED" - LG Optimus L90

My phone bricked out on it's own. Woke up from bed today to find my phone was 0% of a firmware update. Says "ROOTED" in red letters beneath a progress indicator stuck at 0%. I rooted with TowelRoot but uninstalled it. I did not that I would run into this problem.
How do I fix it?

It seems as if your phone is in download mode. If restarting it does not fix it, use the tools on this forum to reflash the kdz
Sent from my LG-D415 using Tapatalk

^^ What he said. You're in S/W update mode, mostly referred to as download mode.
If the Volume Up button was pressed while it was plugged into a USB (usually a computer of some sort), then it enters download mode. If after a restart it doesn't boot normally, just flash the KDZ from the forums.
If THAT doesn't work, then I'd say hard reset after the KDZ flash (you shouldn't have to do that though.)
Best of luck

If you need to remove ROOTED status you must flash KDZ ROM use this tools: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-l90/general/guide-flash-stock-kdz-offline-lg-l90-t2803479 but select "CS_EMERGENCY" for PhoneMode. Then you will lose your data and data on internal SD!

My program stuck at 4%.. All drivers installed..

[Q] Only bootloop and sw update mode

I bought a Optimus Black and i wanted to delete old account, so i reseted all phone options in settings. After that phone turned off for 5 seconds and turned on with LG logo and flashing keys. And it's not end. The only thing i can do is turn to SW Uptade Mode, when i pushing Volume up button and connect with USB to my computer. SmartFlashTool didn't work, B2CAppSetup.exe don't want install. Can I do anything else? Is it BootLoader broken?
i dont know what is B2CAppSetup.exe but if you want to run smart flash, you should install usb drivers first.
Look this page for drivers. http://www.lg.com/tr/telefon-destegi/lg-P970-LG-Optimus-Black
sorry, B2CAppSetup.exe is LGMobile Support Tool. I have USB drivers, and Smart Flash worked corretly (i think, there is a text on green background "... completed" at the end), but phone reseted and still have a bootloop.
you flashed cwm integrated bin file?
if so, after opening cwm, did you make wipe data?
if you didnt, it will bootlop
I did everything according to the tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1448803 and i can't open the cmw.
try this
it is cwm integrated bin and fls files
flash with smart flash tool
after flash, cwm opens automaticaly
after that choose wipe data
and reboot phone

If it still doesn't work after flashing with Smart Flash Tool then take it into repair shop. It's a hardware problem.

Bricked device

I'm a newbie here and doesn't followed correctly steps for install a theme, so it's completely my fault. Now, I need somebody to help me recovering my device.
I tried to install this theme http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1808013
I read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1551156 I've rooted the device and applied the instructions for "ClockWorkMod Recovery 5 - for use in future custons rom or partial back-up.-" but then, here is when I do wrong, I went to boot recovery mode (not CWM) > apply patch/update and selected the theme zip. Since then, every time I boot the device, it shows me 2 errors: the status bar process has stopped - And then the screen goes black and return again with the same error. At least it loads the background and icons of the main screen.
The device doesn't ask me for the password before the errors prompt. My device has the stock rom.
Can I fix it with recovery boot > wipe data/factory reset?

Yeah from what you are describing you can 100% fix it. However if you didn't make a backup of any sort then you will need to reinstall your firmware with ODIN3 v3.07. Go to the same thread that you got ClockWorkMod Recovery from and download Odin from there. Then download the latest firmware for your country/region from here (you have to change the country to your own one in the drop down menu and sign up to download files which is free).
Make sure you download firmware for S5830i ONLY whatever you do! Wipe all user data in recovery just to avoid any further hiccups. Then put your phone in Download Mode (Power + VolUP + VolDown when switched off), connect it the PC and open Odin. Use the PDA section ONLY to put the tar.md5 firmware file in. DO NOT use a PIT file and do not tick any other options than the two default ones (Auto Reboot and FReset Time I think). Just follow that to the letter and once ODIN is done, it will almost definitely be back to normal again.
By the way also make sure you run Odin as administrator and that Kies is not running because they don't agree with each other.
I've downloaded the lastest firmware for my country (s8530i, Spain, November) and now Odin looks like this: i.imgur.com /rZ76d.png (no 10 posts yet, sorry)
I've got the device connected via USB and awaiting in odin mode "product name, custom bin, current bin, etc) "Downloading..." message. Should I use the entry "Wipe data/restore factory" from the recovery boot first?
Now, is everything ok, do I press start?
Very nearly but Odin hasn't recognised your phone yet. Basically you see where it says "ID:Com" with 8 grey boxes above the writing, well when Odin has made a connection with your phone one of those boxes should light up and something like COM:1-9 (number isn't important) will be displayed inside the box.
You probably need to install Samsung Kies (search for it on Google) which comes with the USB driver needed for Odin and then it should work. But as I said just make sure you actually kill/terminate Kies from Windows Task Manager before using Odin. If you've already installed Kies sometimes it's just being a pain in the backside, unplug the phone, pull the battery out, reinsert it, put the phone back in Download mode, reboot your PC, hopefully that should do it.
Everything else in your screenshot is absolutely fine. You don't have to Wipe Data before doing it, I usually do it because sometimes it can cause issues. In the worst case you might have to do it afterwards.
Sorry, my fault. The device wasn't plugged. Now it looks like this i.imgur.com /HJz3B.png
Done, device working, thank you very much and sorry for the trouble.
No trouble just press thanks button if I helped though please.

lg p970 problem flashing,reset

i messed up my lg with installing ICS,now when i turn on the mob everything is blocked, picture of android is v10 and version inside is v30,i can charge it and i can get in s/w update mode. i tried smartflash but it goes to download complete but mob. wont reboot just turns on lg logo,i tried kdz updater but when i press upgrade start and normally its supposed to ask me which country to choose so i can put different country in my case it goes automaticlly to update. i have teamviewer 8 if maybe someone has time to help me so i dont have to take it to service(no money). thanks
now in lgmobile tool i did phone recovery and after i turn lg on on version it sais v10a and it sais i can start update to gingerbread and when i start on update on 15% it stops, any help?
after error i put manually in s/w update mode and it went all the way,it sais gingerbread installed but cell want reboot and when i turn it on there is no change.
on 90% of update on cell comes lg sign and stayes like that
hey man sorry for the late, I'm a little busy
just a question, when you flash a patched firmware, can you access to the recovery ? if yes, that's all, from there just do a wipe of datas (flash superuser if root is needed) and reboot. done.
no problem its never late, unfortunately not, thats was i am trying to do,i know i need to come to recovery but so far i didnt manage
which firmware did you try ? (give a link if possible)
unfortunately i am at work but i dowloaded v10a from, http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=1
these from that site are not patched, but stock...
download this (run to extract binaries) and follow my pdf guide if you have already the upk package
edit : or follow this online guide
ok i will try with this, can you just tell me will i try with kdz updater or with smartflash?
smartflash of course.
kdzu is obsolete since LG has restricted this method (there is a way though, but more complicated)
i have upk ofcourse,i tried so many combinations, maybe i tried even v20s patched but i will give it a go tonight after 10 p.m. when i get home and i will post results, thanks for now Ilko
Ilko this stock v30 recovery, would that maybe help in my case?
If you need a reset, it won't help, because as said before, ICS stock firmwares don't have recovery
From my funky phone
here i am,i tried, download went ok but cell is stuck on lg logo
with vbscript i managed to run r&dtt and change country to diferrent but on 90% always cuts me off,i noticed in device manager that it cuts usb connection,i know that i must put cell on usb debbuging mode but i cant when my cell is completely locked when its turned on,is there any solution for this or we can say i can through it away??
well, I don't know what to say friend. if smartflash fails, other ways will fail too. you may try r&dtt with the shttp tip. I'm afraid this is the last chance
Hmmm, what if he tries to flash a stock ICS? Since SFT tries to reboot in recovery mode, it will wipe data, and maybe will help...
As long as it doesn't drop the usb connection, of course
Sent from my LG-P970 using Tapatalk 2
i used v30b and sft download complete and it turned on lg logo and stays like that,no reboot, with shttp tip i tryed again but it always cuts me out on 90 %, do you guys know if i take it to a special shop for mobile they could reset it with some special cable or something????
when download on smartflash completes usb immediately disconects me and than cell can not reboot, smartflash automaticlly finds a com port,do i need to do something manually with installing drivers or something?????

Need Help, Bricked SM-T900

I bricked my SM-T900 Wifi while attempting to root it. Can anyone help me get it un-bricked?
Here's a step by step list of what I did and what happened:
1. Turned on USB debugging mode
2. Downloaded and installed Samsung kies
3. Downloaded the file for SM-T900 from autoroot [dot] chainfire [dot] eu/ (it won't let me post outside links)
4. Turn off tablet, get into custom firmware installation mode by holding power, volume-, and home, then confirm the warning
5. run Odin (v3.07, came in the zip file)
6. plug in tablet, tablet showed up as a com port but did NOT show any other information. I don't know if it was supposed to show anything else but I hadn't though about that at the time.
7. Clicked on PDA and selected the file CF-Auto-Root-v2wifi-v2wifixx-smt900.tar.md5
8. Clicked start
9. Waited, it said it was doing something with cache, I don't recall exactly what it said
10. after about 3 minutes the screen looked wrong, all the pixels were different colors, (rainbow static?)
11. Waited about 10 minutes just in case that was not a sign of failure, then Odin reported that it failed.
Now when I press the power button, I get the screen that says "Firmware upgrade encountered and issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again"
I tried using that in Kies but Kies can't connect to my tablet any more. When I try to use Odin using the recovery with power, vol-, home, it detects that I plugged it in but when I try to click start it fails and nothing happens.
I have exact the same problem.
I have read many articles, who said it was easy to root.
That's not true !!!!.
Maybe because the tablet became an update today ?
What I did to recover the tablet: (phew !!!)
Download this bootloader:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2591013&d=1392923580
Connect to Odin and flash it.
A few seconds, it says OK, reboots and voila: there's your tablet again revived !!!!.

Unfortunately Odin fails before it manages to even connect to my tablet so I'm not sure it will work for me but I'll give it a try. It managed to connect before when I tried to flash the root files but now it fails every time. I'll update this when I get home and try flashing that.
Edit:
Got home, tried your fix. I am happy to report it worked and it only took a few seconds. Thanks!
Edit:
To anyone reading this thread, if you tried rooting your SM-T900 using the SM-T900 files for rooting, try using the SM-P900 files instead! I just tried that and it seems to be working fine.
I'm glad I could help. :good:
It's bad for your heart when you see that your expensive tablet is bricked.
Hello everyone. Where do I flash the bootloader in odin? Do I use PDA or Bootloader and do I need to check the bootloader update box? Just wanted to confirm before further messing up my tablet. Thanks!
Edit: Never mind, figured it out. Thanks for the help!
This method just worked for me. Flashed the bootloader with Odin after getting "stuck" and it booted right up.

What did you do exactly to fix it? I'm having the same issue. Just sits at screen and says:
ODIN MODE
Product Name: SM-T900
Current Binary: Custom
System Status: Official
KNOX Warranty Void: 1
RP SWREV: A1
How do you use that recovery.img file?
For the top most problem flash cwm or TWRP recovery through Odin or through recovery mode then boot into cwm or TWRP recovery delete all files and install a supported rom.
If u want full explained steps mail me

it's 2022 & my T900 finally went into bootloop in model logo, does anyone know the real reason for this? is it hardware or software problem?
- I can flash any version via odin but still bootloops
- TWRP worked once after that can't get in anymore
- the only button working is for the download mode PWR + Vol Down
- before all this LED Stayed on until batt drained then bootloops
it's a good tab to watch movie while on a treadmill

Your phone isn't running official software

G'day XDA Developers
I tried rooting my phone with Magisk then flashing the AP file via Odin in download mode then flashed twrp how ever when I boot I get the error message. Your phone isn't running official software and the phone just keeps rebooting so I think I have tripped Knox.
I can't seem to enter download mode or recovery so I am wondering how can I restore it back to stock rom and relock the bootloader? Or is my only option to RMA the phone?.
Yes by rooting your device you are actually tripping your KNOW built in fuse.
Now try to do few thing:
Download the stock firmware by using Frija-v1.4.2 software.
After that unzip the firmware file and use odin3 to flash the firmware you can read more here.
If you need TWRP use this link to install it.
after that use this link to install kernal which is having magisk inside it so you dont even need button combination.
you just need to flash kernal zip file in twrp or you can read official post here.
The problem is I can't enter download mode the phone just keeps endlessly rebooting so I might have to wait until the battery runs out then try entering download mode.
Update: Okay so I waited until the phones battery died and the phone ended its reboot loop then I charged the phone and tried entering download mode and I was successful in that then I reflashed the stock rom via odin and restored the phone back to factory settings now it's working again.
