Downloaded. Wouldn't install. Now not showing as available or on the phone at all. Great!!
Android 5.0 system update downloading too
Hey Mick,
Im in the UK too and had the system update available pop up and are now downloading the 479.5mb file.
My Nexus was also purchased sim free and is running stock rom with root courtesy of cf autoroot.
Now to decide if to install it straight away or not. I need to read the other posts regarding losing root and how to maintain phone and app data.
Received it lastnight and updated immediately. Very happy with it apart from the lockscreen music widget removed by Google.
My wife's N5 OTA just arrived this evening and has completed its update.
I've Sideloaded mine on day one.[emoji12]

Downloaded and re-rooted with Wugfresh. No problem at all.
Old nexus 7 received the OTA today, but nothing yet on my nexus 5 ? purchased through three...
Nothing. Bought via google UK store....
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
We already have a thread about receiving the OTA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/recieved-ota-t2939041
As OTA rollouts aren't location specific, I don't see the need for another thread.

Hi,
I have a few questions regarding updating my T-mobile Note 4 (SM-N910T)
And have not yet received the 5.1.1 update I'm on 5.0.1.
So if I do this manual update will my warranty remain?
Is it safe?
Will my phone still be official stock?
Will I be able to use automatic updates in the future?
Thanks.

T-Mobile has not received an update to 5.1.1 for the SM-910T. The only phone that has 5.1.1 is the SM-910T3 which has different hardware. Be sure you know which phone you have before you even consider upgrading.

Wow didn't know there was a difference probably why I kept getting Auth failed and gave up
T-Mobile has the update for SM-N910T, they just haven't released it. Samsung gave the update to the carriers. Sprint is the only carrier to release the update to the public OTA, to this date. Like Alkali said, SM-N910T3 has 5.1.1 and that's because the phone is a revised version and was shipped with the latest. As far as I know, you can only get the T3 from a warranty standpoint. I could be wrong.
That's why. I haven't done it lol I'm on jump and getting the note 5 trading my note 4 in. I figured it will tick them off that my phone is on 5.1.1 probably be like "how did you get this build?"

I have the AT&T S5 running Lollipop.
I don't recall - but I *think* I got this device before Lollipop was released. I got the device in May'14. My research shows that Lollipop came out Nov'14.
So - if I got the device with the prior release - but it's running Lollipop now - is there a way to root it?
Thanks.
No I have the same problem. I have been waiting for months now

If you are on the official 5.0+ ota, through any means other than the prerooted flashfire method, there is no known way to downgrade, root, etc. If you flashed the ota for lollipop, bought your phone and it had lollipop, or took the ota, and it is an att s5 (G900A) then it is not, at the time of me posting this, possible to downgrade to KitKat or root or anything of the sort.

Does anyone have the firmware for the lollipop on s5 active?
Does anyone know if models of S5 being sold as new now are being released with lollipop or kitkat preinstalled?
Is there a way to know by serial number on the box?
The reason I am asking is I just purchased one online a few days ago on the daily steals website has it was advertised As new and unlocked. I did not realize being that I am from Canada that this was a lockdown AT&T model. It is scheduled to arrive in the next day or so and I would prefer not to open the box and affect my ability to return it without restocking fee if it already comes with lollipop on it. Hi I'm less concerned about achieving root and more concerned about having the ability to native flea tether on my plan back here in Canada.
Also if it did come with lollipop firmware preinstalled, is there a way to enable native tethering on the phone if root is not achievable?

I'm not sure either I would just see if it is a 5.0 and below and just achieve root its so simple then you flash native tethering it just sounds like that would be the easiest way

I have a Nexus 6 bought directly from Motorola but with a T-mobil sim from my
last phone. I'm running the MRA68K factory image of 6.0., and have never been
offered an OTA update.
Let me tell you what I THINK I know.
Although MRA68K does include the T-mobile band 12 and wifi calling feature,
for some reason T-mobil was not happy with it due to some bug revealed
in testing. MRA68X is the release they are happy with, and is what T-mobil
users running 5.1.1 are getting OTA. This OTA is not usable for phones running
any of the 6.0 release. There currently is no factory image for MRA68X.
Here is what I don't know:
- Will MRA68X be eventually released as a factory image.? Usually that comes
before not after the OTA. If not it would seem the need to flash a 5.1.1 image
to be able to take the MRA68X OTA.
- Is the T-mobil specific release a one time thing, or will there be a sequence of
T-mobil specific releases as in 5.X?
- I presume that when the phone checks for an update it bases it on the carrier's
SIM. Just curious, is it Google downloading the update but subject to the carrier's
instructions?

It's only the L* releases that can be updated with the OTA.

I don't see where it says *only* L releases get the update but it may just be a matter of semantics.
"To be able to update to the current software version, the below requirements must be met:"
^^^ I take this to mean that you must have at least L to get the update. If you are on M already then you still meet that requirement. That's just my thoughts though. Dez is always in the know and that's what he said. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I noticed that your signature says "Nexus 6 rooted". If that is in fact the case, you will not be able to install any OTA. Neither via sideloading nor "over the air". The installer looks at the system file, and if there is ANY change from stock (including being rooted), it will abort the install. I've had it fail, even with a couple of apps frozen.
It looks like the document
https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-18109
has been updated. It now list MRA68K as eligible for the OTA to MRA68X. Earlier
it just listed the L* releases.

My active updated today, May Force.
I updated my s5 active yesterday morning.
Can someone on PA1 (or OI5) PLEASE try to locate the update URL so we can snag the file directly from AT&T? You don't need root to get the URL, but your phone needs to be connected to a computer BEFORE you download the OTA file. It basically involves checking logs to find the proper link.
There's several articles out there for finding the Update URL. This would be a tremendous help to forum members overseas who just want stock updates.
Read on another forum that this is the April 2016 security patch FYI.

I just brought a NEW T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 4, and upon powering up the phone for the first time I found out the phone was on Android 5.1.1 (N910TUVU2DOK2).
Should I return this phone?
The reason I am considering returning this phone is because it is my understanding that the SM-N910T on Android 5.1.1 CANNOT do the following:
1. Cannot be rooted (partially or completely).
2. Cannot be downgraded to Android 4.4.4.
3. Cannot have any apps installed that would unlock the mobile hotspot feature without having to go through your carrier to pay extra.
Can anyone confirm if the above restrictions are correct?
I did the same thing in january..I was so damn excited about getting a N910T that I thought I could do whatever I wanted with and I didn't read up (well enough) on developement and ended up with DOK2. It is true you can't downgrade....as of right now....but I have never had any issue at all with root or apps that require root. As far as the the hotsppt mod is concerned, I can't help too much with that info because b I use straight talk...but i think it's a hit or miss situation...I think the two most popular roms for our phones (Tekhds and Overdrives) have the mod built in but I'm not 100% sure.. but I think the only way you could get one without DOK2 would be used

YES! 5.1.1 CAN be rooted. Just download the newest version of CF-Auto-Root. Do NOT use the one in the thread above/ below. It's outdated. Search that thread however to find others who HAVE rooted their 5.1.1, like me.

I don't even think I need 6GB, 4GB is plenty and I'm sure the 6GB issue will be fixed and knowing that Oxygen OS is opened and the device has unlocked Bootloader it beats waiting for Note 4 to get custom MM rom.
