Hello guys, I've been looking to get a Nexus 6 although I was looking at the 2nd gen Moto x with all of its features and now that's what I'm interested in.
I like to tweak my devices and I remember seeing Motorola putting all the Moto X features and specific apps on the Play Store(obviously only installable from a Moto X device).
I was thinking in theory there must be a way to get the special features from the stock Moto X rom into CyanogenMod running on the Moto X. If I am able to do this, I will definitely be getting the Moto X, if not, I will be getting the Nexus 6.

motorola's support site doesn't have factory images for the new moto x pure edition (or any other 2014 moto x for that matter) in the event that you get into a pickle (like me).
anybody? ferris? anybody?
I would like this as well. Almost got myself into some trouble yesterday
Has anyone pulled the ringtones from the Moto X 2014? There are a couple notification sounds i'd like to put on my Nexus 6.
I found the Moto X (2013) ones, which carried over to the 2014 model

Has anyone come across an article or thread around converting an AT&T Moto X to the Pure Edition?
Hi,
I think it will not be possible since we dont have an unlockeable bootloader.
What are the chances the new root method for the Droid Turbo will work with the Moto X? Both Verizon, both Moto, I'm hoping. I like my Nexus 6 but really liked the moto features and size of the X. Here is to hoping!
It all depends on what is being exploited to achieve root and whether the X has the same vulnerability.
Greetings! This is my first post so go easy if this question has been asked 1,000 times already. I've just read conflicting information on whether the original Moto X would be worthy of receiving Android 6 so I thought I'd come to where the experts are in hopes of finding a definitive answer. As a follow up, what about the 1st. Gen. Moto G 4G LTE. I appreciate your time everyone!
No update for ghost
rinoaxda is right. I saw on another thread on the Moto X Forums that the Moto X (1st Generation) is not getting the update. If you want marshmallow on this phone, you may have to root your phone and flash a custom ROM on it (if you're so inclined). That's what I did to get Lollipop on my phone before it came out OTA through AT&T and Verizon.
