[HELP]

Guys,i have Retail 1058 Moto X with unlocked Bootloader,TWRP(latest and rooted) and i want to upgrade to 4.4.2!
Some guys already received the 4.4.2 brazilian update via OTA,and extracted the zip file, but, since im on custom recovery, the OTA doesnt reboot the phone into stock and go straight to TWRP,therefore, doesnt conclude the update, and keep restarting!
Since i need the phone,i did a factory reset via TWRP just to get things going!
But,i want to upgrade to 4.4.2!
Is there a way to do that?remove TWRP ou something else?
Thx in advance!

First thing is you have posted this in the wrong thread, should be in Q&A section. You need to flash both system and stock recovery to take an ota, I believe this has been mentioned more than a few times
Sent on my Moto X
Moved here, as this does not belong in the Dev Section...thanks. OP please read the Forum Rules on posting....

[Q] jellybean to kk update and unlocking ...

My n900a is on JB right now ... its unlocked using ( region lock away ) and rooted also installed safestrep 3.71. now i want to update it to KK. I have downloaded NC2 files from some sources. please tell me .. if i update it to kk will it get locked ??? if yes then can i unlock it from same application ??? ...
2nd ) if i do NAND backup from safestrep and if i dont like KK .. can i go back to JB with use of that NAND ???
also tell me ... if i dont want AT&T roms ... can i update any N9005 or other international roms on my N900a ???
thank you :good:
I can't comment on the unlock, but if you Odin to NC2 there's no going back to JB even with the safestrap backup.

[Q] Locked bootloader, boot up failed.

Hey, guys.
I have a Moto X Brazil Retail version.
I unlocked the bootloader, but never installed a custom recovery or rom, I was just curious.
Today, I flashed kitkat 4.4.2 and everything was going fine until I received the notification to update to version to 4.4.3.
After installing the 4.4.3 update, the moto x would just boot up to the flashboot screen, with LOCKED bootloader T_T.
I can't hard reset using any means I know. Can you help me?
Thanks.

what do u mean that u have unlocked the bootloader and now u have bl locked??
from fastboot choose Factory once and then if u get another time fastmode choose another time Factory.
if doesn t work boot into recovery and wipe cache.
He obviously downgraded. He had to have been on 4.4.3 (or higher), unlocked, flashed a custom ROM, decided to go back to stock, and flashed 4.4.2. (downgrade)
That pretty much sum it up?
Everybody PLEASE READ the warnings that downgrade = brick....

Restore to Stock, Lock Bootloader After Custom Lollipop ROM

Hey guys,
I am selling my Moto G (XT1068) and I want to restore it to stock Motorola firmware and relock the bootloader first. The thing is, I'm currently running the Titan Prime ROM based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
Can I simply downgrade to official 4.4.4 firmware and then relock the bootloader using a guide like this -- http://www.droidviews.com/restore-moto-g-2014-to-stock-and-lock-the-bootloader/
Or is it not that simply now that I've upgraded to Lollipop? I just don't want to brick the device.
Thanks in advance for the help.
u cant lock bootloader on kk .. flash the lollipop frimware and lock the bootloader..

Now I think that I am on the way to hardbrick my moto xt1068. cause, I checked the bootloader version everytime I flashed, first I was on cm12.1 [BL v48.82], so I flashed the stock 5.0.2 with stagefright in order to update to indian MM [Then BL was v48.83], now when I updated to Indian MM [BL was on v48.86].
But I again wanted to go on cm, so flashed the TWRP, then flashed xperiaZ5G rom[Android v5.1.1], and checked the BL [was on same v48.86 ].
Now i wanna know that if flash stock 5.0.2 on v48.86 BL will that hardbrick?
and if is there any failproof method to flash LP roms or stock LP without causing hardbrick, what're those?
Thank You.

Hi
Just make sure you're not downgrading your bootloader.. Don't include gpt.img and motoboot.img while flashing the 5.0.2. And after that never install update via OTA.

So if something goes wrong, I can still flash stock, but excluding gpt.bin and motoboot.img (will that work?)
and I can still flash custom recoveries, roms, etc. right?

Yep, just make sure you're not downgrading your bootloader and don't update your phone via OTA and you'll be fine.

my current bootloader is 48.86 i used xt1069 's marshmallow previously
I FLASHED XT1068_TITAN_RETAILDSDS_5.0.2_LXB22.99-16.3_Easy_Installer.zip ON BOOTLOADER 48.86 VIA FASTBOOT IT GIVES ME MSG IN PINK ( version downgrade for _gpt and version downgrade for tz) and rest is worked fine it successfully booted into the stock 5.0.2 after that i updated soak test update of 6.0 by coping blurred version into sd card and checking it by going into settings >about phones >system updates
so not faced any problem as of now i m sure what i done i have a video proof also that i flashed (XT1068_TITAN_RETAILDSDS_5.0.2_LXB22.99-16.3_Easy_Installer.zip ON BOOTLOADER 48.86)
Exactly Same with me....
