This is completely compatible with the official CyanogenMod 10.1 (and I'm planning to keep it that way), so you can switch to and from official without any problems.
The main focus of this ROM is to stay up to date with CyanogenMod 10.1 git branch and add features that allow finer grain customisation of hardware specific to the 4X.
What's added:
LG QuickMemo (hold Vol+ and Vol- to activate) [framework change]
Enable wake by pressing volume key setting [settings app change]
Control button backlight in System Settings (can stop it turning on whenever you touch the screen) [settings app + framework + hardware library change]
Button backlight used as notification light (can be enabled/disabled in System Settings) [settings app + hardware library change]
Button backlight used as battery light (recommend disabling in System Settings) [settings app + hardware library change]
Ability to dim backlight more than minimum (activate from ArararagiToolbox, otherwise like stock) [kernel change]
Ability to force fast charge even higher than default AC levels (activate from ArararagiToolbox, otherwise like stock) [kernel change]
20130502: Fix headset button (thanks to Wenque) Now in official CM
20130505: Disable baseband_xmm_power wake lock [kernel change]
20130512: Torch brightness control. You need to clear data for the Torch app. Default is the minimum possible brightness, rather than the stock CM 10.1 brightness. [Torch app + kernel change]
20130515: Fix known issues in torch brightness control caused by 20130512 changes. Clear Torch app data. [Torch app change] Disable touch debug printing in kernel. [kernel change]
20130602: Use new vibrator implementation in line with CM. Add baseband_xmm_power wake lock back in.
20130609: Uncap screen brightness
20130611: Disable baseband_xmm_power wake lock again. Now using Linaro 13.05 GCC 4.7 to build (user + kernel).
20130612: HALO ported from ParanoidAndroid
20130613.1: OpenPDroid
20130623: Enable ODEX
20130623: Use -O3 for compiling native components
20130623: Increase vibrator PWM duty cycle (should increase vibrator strength)
20130625: Tweak background process parameters
20130630: Add QuickMemo quick settings tile
20130707: Add LG Hidden Menu (only GNSS Test works at the moment)
20130713: Allow control of which backlight HVLEDs are enabled. Lets you make the screen even dimmer
20130716: Allow control of gamma LUT from user space. Let's you over saturate the screen colours
20130727: Add support for external GPS (http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/q/owner:ich%40morphew.de+status:open,n,z)
Check github for full changelog. Each release also includes changes from official CM.
Optional (can be installed as normal app):
Memobin.apk: LG Notes
AraragiToolbox.apk: Actually activating some of the features mentioned above
CameraApp3.apk: 20130606. LG Jelly Bean stock camera app ported to Android 4.2/CM 10.1.
ArararagiToolbox features that work on any ROM:
Check battery current (drain/charge in mA)
Disable USB (for charging on untrusted computers)
Check KSM (kernel same page merging) stats
Note: Anything changed from AraragiToolbox won't stay across reboots, as it's more of a tool for testing. I'm planning to add them into the System Settings later on.
Install by flashing zip from ClockworkMod (Find "Optimus 4X" on the page). No need to wipe data if you are already using CM 10.1.

Planned:
Overclocking, Schedulers, I/O Schedulers, Governors
Vibration strength Make it configurable
Control camera flash/torch brightness
USB mass storage
Fast charge tile
How to HALO:
See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2117444&page=976 (Thanks to kubics for original posting and Namor Noditz for linking) on how to configure.
Just mentally replace "Settings > RootBox Settings > HALO Settings" with "Settings > System".

My immediate guess would be the same as with any modified CM - you lose the additions to the ROM.

I think it would change just the moddified files, I guess. I will try an report.
can create a zip file to add QuickMemo, Fast Charge, Backlight Dim, Notification Light, etc. to official CM 10.1?

It doesn't work. I have installed today's update then this modded ROM and then today's update again.
How often is you going to be updated this ROM?

Does that mean it did what I suggested and wiped out the additions? That's certainly what used to happen with older versions of CM and I would expect exactly the same to happen still.
It's the same as with the PDroid version - unless the OP sets up his own automated build system you can often find the build lagging behind the nightlies. That's why they often choose to base a modded version on the most recent 'stable' CM and then have to update it less frequently.
I think I found a bug. When I am charging my phone over USB or AC the button's lights are always on.

That's not a bug. You've got the screen set to "Always On" when charging, and the buttons set to "Always On" - therefore the buttons will always be on when charging?
Awesome!!!!This is what i need.Great job!
If qmemo can also turn on by long press menu/quick setting panel, that will be perfect.

The button lights function as battery lights by default. Disable it in settings -> system -> battery lights.
It's difficult to release just modified files (as you can see from my kernel and other QuickMemo thread, it becomes a mess) and now that framework modifications are involved, it can cause conflicts if they are flashed over a CyanogenMod version that it wasn't designed for.
It might be possible to get the button backlight feature upstreamed in CM, but I doubt they'd accept any of the rest.
I'll look into setting up automated build, and also getting the source modifications organised on github or similar.
20130428 is now available.
No changes from me, just updating upstream.

multirom failing to add du9.0 as secondary rom
I'm currently using cm12 with custom kernel for kexec hardboot patch as primary ROM.
I'm trying to add du9.0 as secondary ROM and it fails to install, in the multirom
twrp menu there's no option to share kernel or not when adding a secondary
ROM, does anyone know if its a problem with the version of multirom ported for
The m7 or if I'm doing something else wrong , the du9.0 ROM works fine when using as primary ROM without multirom I've searched everywhere and can't figure out why
Its failing to add as a secondary ROM, I've added many secondary ROMs
On my n5 without a problem I've never seen this happen before any help or advice
Would be muchly appreciated thanks
Volume increments
Is there a way to increase the number of volume increments? right now the most of the volumes only have 7 increments and voice call only has 5.
Dirty Unicorns v9.0 & IR remote
Dears,
ROM is great, smooth, very fast & everything is working fine. I've noticed one small problem. I've installed Smart IR remote to control TV & STB and unfortunately it is not working. Could you tell me if it's possible to do something to make IR control working on your ROM?
Thank you very much for your help.
Bests, amiseh.
I like this Rom!
I really like this rom.
So smooth, not just in the system Apps but also in every single other APP it feels more smooth than in other available aosp Roms.
Only thing i miss is the permission manager.
I remember it was available in other versions but i cant find it in this one.
Is it not available at the moment ?
With grettings from Germany
Yeah same here. I tend to skip it. But it is annoying sometimes I need to take a 1-2sec pause just to go home.
You might as well add a recent app switcher shortcut in the homepage. Or try the omni recent manager.
The lights of my buttons don't turn on. They did only once on the build from two weeks ago.
But the second I restarted the stayed off. It would be good if they added support for the capacitive light control in the buttons settings.
CM12-12.1 build has it. On the WEEKLY build from yesterday (DU_m7_5.1.1_20150513-0226.v9.3-WEEKLIES) I'm getting random bootloops when I turn the screen off. Or if I leave it charging. (I might check the change log)
So I just reverted back to 20150-5-5
Is there a way to disable the notification when I plug in a pair of earbuds? I can't dismiss it and I find it distracting since I use my phone with the earbuds a lot. The actual notification says "Headset: Headset is plugged in." and appears to be part of the Phone app.
Thanks in advance!
button backlight (settings)
Is it possible to add the button backlight settings (m7). I believe CM has them.
Also does your phone have them on. B/c mine has them off. I think in the DU_m7_5.1.1_20150427-2127.v9.3-OFFICIAL.zip they turned on for about a minute and then stayed off .
Under my Twrp Recovery they are on. But just suddensly turn off inside the rom. (sure I don't mind them since I know where the keys are) But just wondering.
PS. im on 5-05 Weekly since I was getting random restarts under 5-13
Hello. Just à little question. How can i put 4g instead of LTE in status bar?
Random reboot while using Play Music
Can a mod delete this please?
turn on/off mobile data
I'm using DU since Friday and I didn't have any problems. But I'm missing on function from the HTC stock rom. Is there no way to turn mobile data on/off by one touch? I always need to go to Settings -> Data usage and turn mobile data on/off there.
Thanks for any hints.

¿Is there any solution for capacitive buttons in custom ROMs?
With LGD panel under MIUI 8.3 (Android 7.0) works perfectly but no way in Lineage ROMs.
will it work with aosp roms?
mine works on miui(8.2) as well as LOS 4/4/17
You could try to flash another kernel.
But probably you have to wait that Xiaomi releases the updated sources.
As was mentioned to me, the firmware pack isn't included in lineage ROMs for mi5 anymore so have to be updated separately; https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71962673&postcount=24
I was in the same situation with the buttons being useless under lineage (lgd also) but since firmware pack 7.4.11 ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5/development/tool-flashable-firmware-twrp-easy-t3474898 ) they've been working really well, almost perfect.
If they don't work well for you, I previously found a workaround in installing "All in one Gestures" https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...os.aiogestures
I've got it configured such that swipes in the bottom left and bottom right corners of the screen match the capacitive button actions.

It is call experimental. Hmmm lets think about what should mean ??
Gesendet von meinem Z2 Pro mit Tapatalk
It means total crap, just installed it and after I realized that it have Google Camera instead of Cyanogen Camera App I've just restored from my last backup with the Unofficial MK71.1 because it is far better than this Experimental crap
Изпратено от моят Z2 Pro с помощта на Tapatalk
On my side, I just installed as well and I won't judge it as crap version so fast.
Give me 1-2 days to test and will give you my feedback.
Quick 1st overview:
Same as for the other ROMs, vibration is now working but no blinking LED.
Otherwise no chinese apps installed
I've rolled back to the unofficial mokee rom aswell. audio didn't work for me. the camera was bad and the utouch was not usable compared to the unofficial version. I get that it's experimental. I hope to use it when it's stable.
Edit: There is an update with nightly status. did anyone check for bugs?
Has anybody tried the latest nightly (MK71.1-z2pro-201704051639-NIGHTLY.zip)?
I'm currently using the one from today 0406
It's stable, but:
- camera has focus vibration defect
- no vibration
- only back & home action on physical button (long touch does not trigger recent apps)
- Brightness slider looks broken
- Camera app takes ages to launch, so does the flashlight

Hi there.
For recent apps try slide from left to right on physical button...
Haha you rock man.
It works. The recent screen displays free ram & clear all button.
Right to left opens menu options.
the new nightly is usable as a daily driver. 2 bugs I found are taking a picture with flash enables crashes the camera and only a reboot makes it usable again and during a call its not possible to use the mic when the main speaker is enabled. This Rom is awesome . I'll keep it on my phone.
Sadly the hands-free issue is a very old one. Same situation in Mokee MK60.1...or all other custom roms for z2 pro!
Furthermore UTouch is not working like it should do i guess?!
U-Touck Works?
Led blinking works?
Battery is good?
Right now i am with ressurection remir but i allways try MoKee.
Thanks in advance.
By the way, if you find yourself wanting soft navigation buttons as well to supplement the semi-functioning U-Touch button, add the following line to your /system/build.prop file and reboot:
"qemu.hw.mainkeys=0"
This has the added benefit of giving you back the option for left/right cursor control buttons when typing (which I always enable personally), and long-press gestures that would otherwise conflict.
Is this built better than the Resurrection Remix Rom?
After reading the thread I thought this one has more bugs

Just a question, have you activated vibration in sound menu? Because it works on my side, just need to be switched on.
As well does the brigthness bar, but you need first to desactivate Auto brightness.
Otherwise I agree on the issues linked to the camera.

i don't understand why i need to activate vibration in sound ?
When i press volume down, before the "Alarms only" i have the vibrate mode. Can't get vibration working here. It is supposed to vibrate for everything, SMS, calls, etc.
About the brightness, i'm confused as well because with all previous roms, even having adaptive brightness, we were able to slide it to express our preferences, whether we want it overall bright or dark.
What camera app are you using ?

Well maybe you don't understand but I am just telling you how to make it works, then up to you to do it or not.
Vibration is working for me in all modes (with or without ring) and for everything (SMS, call, whatsapp => for any notification)
For camera, I kept the one provided in the ROM, actually I don't use often the cam so I don't care that much.
and the brightness slider is denfenitly working, as long as you deactivate the auto brightness
Ok, when you use it, do you have the continuous autofocus vibration problem ?
Now i have to hit the phone like 9 out of 10 times to take a picture... Annoying !
Just a couple quick questions about the change Google made to the volume controls after Oreo where the physical buttons change Media instead of Ringtone...
Does anyone know if any of the ROMs revert this back to Pre-Pie method baked in (or with an optional setting)?
Otherwise, is Xposed the best bet for this? (been away from the rooting/custom ROM world for a little while)
thx -jonn
[by the by... My last phone had Pie and was not rootable... this one change to volume is the closest I have ever been to moving from Android to iPhone. While some may welcome this change, IMHO it is FOOBAR and has completely borked the way I use a phone... working around dogs and both inside and outside, I change my ringer volume constantly.)
