Hey guys, I got my n6 yesterday and besides a few curious apps not working things have been mostly great.
One thing that is bugging the hell out of me is the power control widget is missing. Anyone know where I can get it to side load? Why would google remove this? Just makes no sense to me.

Google may not have removed it, it may simply not be compatible with the N6 or Lollipop yet. Have you tried Widgetsoid? I'm using it on my stock 5.0 Nexus 5 while I wait for my N6 to ship, and it works just fine. [emoji1]
*Or are you talking about the native power control widget? It's native on the Nexus 5 factory image, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't be on the N6. If it's really not there, I can adb pull the apk for you, and post it so you can try to side load it to /system/apps (pretty sure that's where it goes).
Edit: Nope... I can't find it in any of the /system file paths... I guess you could just try to side load and see what happens, but Google may have cooked it into the SystemUI or something.
Yeah I wanted the native power control widget that's been on my phone for as long as I can remember ?

Im having the same problem, the strange thing is that my old n5 and n7 both have the power control widget and theyre all running android 5.0
I noticed it missing too. Its something I use a lot especially on stock ROM.
You can use the app power toggles from the play store. It's the same as the power toggles you'd normally see but more tweakable

Yeah its just not present anymore. The widget was missing on my oneplus one L cm12 rom as well. Odd how they removed it when it's been there for awhile.
At least we have alternatives, woo for Android.

Any solution to this yet?
Trying like mad widget apps and they dont show up near the other stock widgets, tried:
Power Widgets
Widgetsoid
HD Widgets

So, a few hours ago I noticed my haptic feedback is really really weak. Has anyone else noticed this? I've got a few week old Nexus One running CM 5.0.7.1.

Edit:
A complete aside, my Gmail app (for my main gmail account) says No Connection, even though I can pull mail for my other two gmail accounts fine. Anyone know of this?
Bump for great justice (and help).

Gotcha, so it's not a hardware defect. I've noticed some things work fine but others are weak. Really made me wonder. Thanks!
This is an idea I had while trying to get use to my tablet as a head unit. I found it very annoying that I had to switch screens to change the volume or tracks.
I wanted to see if anyone would think it would be a good idea to add a few buttons to the navigation bar like a skip back, forward, play/pause, volume up/down.
I'm trying to figure it out myself but I'm not the greatest programmer so I figured if I shared my idea someone might might be able to figure it out.
This is what I was thinking!

I have almost finished an app which will add next/previous/play and many other things to the soft button bar. Maybe I'll add volume controls too. For the moment the app was planned with the new bar style in mind ( aka not the omni bar seen from 3.0 to 4.1 which was abandoned in 4.2) but I think a little tweak will render it compatible.
I'll keep you updated.

I have a nexus 5, and love the newer KK launcher. I have my tf701 ordered and shipped but not delivered yet. Just wondering if anybody tried using the launcher?
http://nexus7.wonderhowto.com/how-t...erience-launcher-your-nexus-7-tablet-0149714/
Looks like it works with other tablets and phones too. It adds a Google now screen if you swipe all the way to the left and makes the bottom bar through. I don't it would hurt anything seeing as it is just an APK. Shouldn't need root or anything like that.

I thought it needed KitKat to work?
I think it will work on anything with jelly bean or newer. I'm not a hundred percent sure though. When I get my tablet in I will install it and give it a try.
Here's another thread about it.

I think a lot of it had to do with the Google Play services that were provided now. If you update completely Google now Google Voice, I think the google it. Launcher installed with just one apk.

I'm still on version 0.9.6.886092 because i can't update the google now launcher, probably because the TF701 doesn't has 4.4 yet. But it works fine =)
Edit: I've tried it again and now I'm running the latest version of the Google now launcher.

I was totally loving your suggestion about RTL... Until I noticed the notification bar. I can't do it, lol. Thank you, though. You almost made my day. Literally one of the features I'm dying for ROMs to start implementing.

This is probably a dumb question (not a lot of rooting/dev experience here) but how do I get that RTL feature to work. I have a Nexus 6 running Android 5.0, new as can be, and looking to help my normal-sized hands by putting the back button on the right.
By the way, just to give some helpful advice for one-handed use of a phone this size: Nova Launcher, Swiftkey (right-sided mode), and I just ordered the Minisuit Tactic Handstrap Wallet (on Amazon, $8) and it looks like it'll be super thin/flush with phone (or case) and allow me to put my finger(s) through for tethering. Yes, I know that these phones are large and meant to be used that way, but Android is awesome for customization and you can do just as much with the exterior of the phone as well
I just want the option to move the buttons closer together, that would be great
If you change your dpi to 380 it forces the N6 into tablet mode and the buttons are closer together

Does anyone know where in the ROM files we would be able to edit the nav bar so that we can "hardcode" the back button to the right side?
Some of us come from HTC's devices and miss some of the great HTC Sense apps. Well, here they are for your enjoyment: http://www.fulmics.com/htc-sense/
HTC Camera can be found here: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/htc-co.../htc-camera-7-30-581119-android-apk-download/
You need HTC Service Pack installed for some apps to function properly.
Thanks. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to want to connect or update.

Htc does make a great video, camera, gallery and editor! You can install the xposed sensify module and the flash stock M8 or A9 htc camera and gallery and it will work very well.

Yes, I had the same issue as you with the downloaded version from xposed. So what I tested was pulling the module that is working in DH's ROM. I figured the one in there works fine. I think that's the new version he's working on for general download. Your mileage may vary.

So, I pulled the dialer app from my M8 with Marshmallow and it looks like it definitely works, but the People/Contacts portion doesn't pull any of the contact info. I'm playing with other related apps to see if I can get it to work. If so i'll report back when and if I figure it out.
