I was installing a Lollipop Rom and all of the sudden my Sprint One M8 got stuck on this screen, what should I do?
Remove sdcard and boot to recovery or do fastboot reboot recovery

This is caused because the .zip you placed on the external sdcard

Hi, im a noob here. so i got the ota update and wanted to get permroot. So i went to hasoon2000's thread to dl his tool. I followed it and unlocked my bootloader and then the next thing i did was flash a recovery. The only option on the tool was 5.5.0.4 and when i did, the phone restarted at stayed at the white htc screen for 15 min. What did i do wrong and how can i fix it?

I actually got a ics rom from the forums and got my phone working again. It seems to be a problem to all people using the toolkit
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1498003&highlight=white&page=17
so a warning to all people with ota ics trying to get permroot, wait a bit for hasoon2000 to update his toolkit
fixed "stuck at HTC logo" issue
It appears to me that hasoon2000's tool is running the wrong batch file when you try to install CWM. Instead of pushing the CWM recovery, it is pushing the Holicakes boot.img file, which causes the phone to freeze at the white screen with the HTC logo upon reboot.
I tried pushing the stock boot.img file from Data\Kernels to the phone, with no success. Not sure if it is the wrong file, or if somethig else is the cause
I did manage to resolve the issue though, and this is what I did to fix it.
1. Reboot phone into fastboot mode and connect to USB
2. run "fastboot oem lock" to re-lock the bootloader
3. reboot back into fastboot
4. Download and run the latest stock RUU from HTC.
From here, you should be back up and running the stock firmware, with a locked bootloader and no recovery. To install CWM recovery, you first need to unlock the bootloader again.
1. Boot into fastoot
2. run "fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin"
3. reboot back to fastboot
4. flash CWM with "fastboot flash recovery Recovery/recovery-cwm-vivid-5.5.0.4b2.img"
I ran all these commands with a command prompt inside the Data directory of hasoon2000's application.
Hope this helps others out there.
same thing
where did you get the latest stock ruu from hyc at i have been to their dev site and cannot find it for the life of me I have tried useing what i think is the old rom ph39img.zip and it tell me it cannot update due to it being the old version. i need the new stock ICS rom to flash and restore to factory, any hepl would be great.

You will have a recovery, it will be the HTC recovery. You would have to use fast boot commands to run cwm. It won't cause any problems if you don't do cwm. It is optional.
Looks like the toolkit was updated fyi
Sent from my HTC PH39100 using xda premium
So.
I didn't you couldn't use OTA if you had custom recovery. Now I can't use my phone, because it boots for a little while then it reboot and tries to update -- to no avail -- everytime, in a loop.
I couldn't find a solution for the XT890.
Can anyone help me? Getting desperate here. =(

Use rsd-lite and one of the rsd-lite packages to restore your phone to stock. Or just flash the stock boot and system image through fastboot. Then it will most likely work again.
If u then want to flash the ota, just flash the stock recovery first.

I didn't use the OTA for this one. If you are trying to update to 4.4.2, there is a thread (which I will try to find the link for) containing a TWRP backup file that you can flash through TWRP.

There is also a tutorial there aswell, you can use recovery (TWRP, CWM) or you can use RSD-Lite to install.

You will need to unlock your bootloader first.. just search on google ''Motorola Unlock'' .. you''ll know what to click
After you unlocked your bootloader you can flash a custom recovery without problems.
Your warranty will be gone if you try the above so after the custom recovery you could just download Cyanogenmod..
If you have warranty and you have not rooted yet.. just take it back to the store
I'll be trying to help you if you have a problem
i have a Huawei P9 EVA-l09 and want it rooted, it's the first time i try this i am searching for over 5 hours now
and when I try to root with Kingroot it keeps failing every time?!
Got TWRP and SuperSU ready.
What to do?
If you have twrp but havent flashed it,put the recovery img in the same directory as adb and fastboot, rename the img file as twrp.img and then issue
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img.
Then hold up+power till the phone vibrates twice and you should be able to boot to twrp and do a backup.
After that its just a matter of installing supersu.zip from twrp.

Also you need to unlock the bootloader first before you can flash twrp
Hi Team,
i have been following all the method and install variants of TWRP .
i have succesfully unlock my bootloader.
none of the TWRP is work, when i install them thru Command Prompt ,,it is always say : image not signed or corrupt and i am keep trying again and again. I even can boot into the Recovery.
Please advice which method should i follow.

That part doesn't matter as long as the final output is "okay" you will be able to boot into recovery

Wait you say g5s?
you cant boot into recovery from the phone you have to do fastboot boot [recovery img name].img or else youll get a kernel error
also you have to do something with twrp while youre in it or your device wont boot once you leave it. in order to fix that go to the bootloader and flash the stock recovery img and youll be set
