So I have a Moto X and an HTC One M8. On my M8 I have the Lollipop ROM by DigitalHigh.
On my playlist that I have downloaded, when I switch a track it takes about 1-2 seconds to load each track. But on my M8, it's almost instant. I thought it was because of 5.0.1 but it still worked perfectly on 5.0.
Anyone else have and notice this issue?

I have that too. Mine is the XT1097. But I tought that was a thing with google play music, because I had never used it before updating to lollipop.

I ordered a Moto X for my 93 year old father. This will be his first smartphone. He currently has an old flip phone, and it is getting too hard from him to see the tiny screen. So I have been trying the demo of Big Launcher on my moto x, and I think it will work perfectly for him. Everything thing on the screen is HUGE. But there is a bug with text messages on 4.4, that they stated is not present on 4.2.2.
So, I am hoping the phone we ordered from Amazon comes with 4.2.2, and I just won't install the 4.4 update until Big Launcher is fixed. Question is, I seem to recall the 4.3 update on my GS4 popping up from time to time, which was annoying, because I did not want to install it at the time.
Will the moto x do the same thing? I installed it on my Moto X the first time I got the notification so I don't what the behavior will be, and I would rather he not keep getting the popup on his screen if it can be avoided. If so, is there a way to keep the popup notifications from happening? Thanks all.
I believe if you go to Settings->Apps->All->Updater and just disable it, you'll never have that problem. I haven't tested this, but it should do the trick.

I just got the Gear Live today, it keeps dropping connection and it's the only bluetooth device hooked up, and it's not registering anything I ask it.
I'm pretty disappointed so far.
Edit: After resetting, it seems to work. But, then will start disconnecting and reconnecting every now and then. Quiet annoying. I have a Nexus 5 running CM11.

Ya know, I noticed this as well, but it only seems to give the disconnect message for me, when I give Google Now a command, it either it doesnt recognize it, or it takes to long to execute said command

Once mine disconnects and reconnects then Google Now stops working.

Oh the joys of being early adopters!!
Could It be the CM ROM? Running perfect here on the moto x running stock 4.4.4 android. I'd say try something stock because I bets it's not the watch or wear software.

I'd day it's kernel related or faulty hardware I have been using mine on my Nexus 5 worth paranoid android and elemental x kernel with literally no issues other than on the firmware that it came with and the updates fixed those

It's working correctly now. I love it and it comes in handy when on my motorcycle.
Quick background, I took the official lollipop update on the 2014 moto x pure edition, performed a factory reset to make sure i would have any fc
question:
ever since the update, whenever i select a a ringtone, the volume starts off really low the first time, and then gets louder. anybody else having this issue?
update: looks like when the phone rings, the ringtone volume starts of low, and then ramps up. is this a setting that i can turn off? or is it a bug? or a feature?
i'm experiencing the same behavior, however, it was happening on my device with KK as well. been exploring for an increasing ringtone option but haven't found it. also trying to figure out why i'm not seeing heads-up notifications for new email, text msgs, etc.
Basically it is a "feature" I believe, Samsung S3 had the same thing. There maybe an app available to change this or if you are rooted there might be a way to change the setting via exposed (although I don't know if it has been updated yet for lollipop or possibly look at the build.prop file though if you don't know what your doing with that, I wouldn't touch it as you can foobar your phone messing around with it.... If it was me, I would post it in the dev thread and see if one of the dev's have the answer. Or check Google, in the short search I did, apparently Moto G 2013 had this "feature" also.....
^^^ahhhh.... the 'ole "undocumented feature" (that's not a bug)...
if the rest of you are experiencing it, then i guess its a feature.... i guess i wanted to see if i set something up incorrectly or it was indeed a feature... .
It does this on kk. Didn't you notice it then?

I don't recall this on kk. I'm sure that this was not happening in kk for me.
Definitely doesn't / didn't do it on kit Kat for me either. Does it now though..
I have been using a XT1097 for about 2 weeks now, and this problem started 2 days ago. First with google play music, on lollipop 5.0 and using the earphones from motorola that came in the package (not sure if relevant). The phone would pause the music I was listening to while in my pocket, I wasn't doing anything else with it. So I have to take it out and manually press play again.
I did a factory reset, but the problem persists. Now with spotify too. It's getting pretty annoying, taking my phone out of my pocket all the time and interrupting the music.
Any ideas on what might be causing this? Maybe lollipop 5.1 will fix it? I'm on Brazil and they started rolling the update, but I didn't get it yet.
Have you tried other headphones?

Not yet, I don't have another one around right now, but will do.
Today I turned off moto voice and the problem seems to be gone. I used spotify a lot today and it didn't pause a single time. Not sure if it's just a coincidence, tough.
Hi so i asked over at the Motorola owners forums but nobody over there could resolve my issue. This is what's going on: So when I go to watch videos on the YouTube app on WiFi or Mobile data the video will start to play and then like 10 seconds in the video will stop and it will say "problem loading video tap to retry" so I tap to retry sometimes it works but most of the time it just keeps loading and never does anything. Once that happens all other streaming media apps don't work like Spotify won't play music as well as local mp3's that I have on my device. After a reboot then I'm able to play every thing again until it happens again. I've done a cache wipe and a factory reset without automatic backup/restore on as well as turning awesome player off in the developers options. And that has not changed anything. Any ideas on what to do? Also i'm not rooted i'm on stock firmware.
I get this as well. Are you using any xposed modules?

The truth is that la(te)st update for this phone is full of bugs. It ended up just like Razr. Good thing I installed 5.1 dump, just reverted back to stock 4.4.4.

yes its really bad. funny thing is i was one of the test drivers for the update for them, and they wouldn't listen to any of us when we told them not to mass release it but they didnt care and did it anyway. their feedback was horrible too they left us hanging for weeks with no updates. no communication at all.

I had the same problem, I uninstall youtube using titanium backup then install youtube apk v6.0.13, no problem with that version.
Let me know if that help you
I ended up downgrading to KitKat 4.4.4 ,overall much better. its stable with xposed and battery does last way longer. Just miss the eye candy of lollipop

I have this problem as well. Seems to work on my N7 with 5.1, so it must be moto specific. it is super annoying.
