Hello Everyone,
I have recently purchased Moto X using the Moto Maker website on 1st May which is yet to be delivered.
My first question is: I wanted to know how to track my order using the order#?
Secondly: As there is an offer going on in which we get Moto Skip when we purchase the Moto X using Moto Maker on May 1st that offer was not added to my cart. So, will I be getting the Moto Skip or not?
And finally: What is the customer service email for Moto X (USA)?
All that info should be in the confirmation email you got after ordering. If you didn't get the email (check spam folders?), check to see if you were charged for it (credit card activity, etc). If you weren't, I don't think your order was completed.

Skip was automatically added to my order too.. And also, my moto says it is still not shipped on their website(scheduled delivery is the 13th I think).. but FedEx has this thing that notifies you when a package is shipped to you. I got an email from them Monday. My moto x will be here tomorrow! It's called FedEx delivery manager..

I ordered mine on May 6th, and it is still showing not shipped on their website; however, fedex delivery manager shows that the shipping info has been sent to them and they just have to pick it up. I don't know if the skip will be included with the package with the phone or a separate package. I wish I would of seen were I could add a screen protector for free with my unlocked Moto X gsm order. I would talk to customer service about adding it, yet don't want to mess around with Motorola's sometimes screwy customer service lol. Why push my luck? I am getting the Moto X because they screwed up with my rma of my moto g. I was offered it in return for their mistake; however, they still sent me a moto g, yet it has some issues, and now they are sending me the moto X. Awesome!!! 3g to 4g lte, what's not to love? Grateful to the people at Motorola state side that got this all worked out for me. You guys are awesome. Now if I could only, honestly, say the same about the stuff going on overseas. They try, they do, yet sometimes the wires get crossed badly over there.

I created a new Motomaker MotoX as a warranty replacement for my original one (loose O-ring covering front-facing camera) on May 3rd and it arrived today (8th) with the Skip in the same FedEx box. The order status on Motorola's site still never changed until this afternoon, so it seems they're shipping faster than they can update the database.
1. To track your order, all you can do is log into your motorola account and see what it says for Status. However, since the X came out, people buying direct from moto have reported very inconsistent web site status updates. Often times receiving their X before the Moto web site was updated even once. Best bet... Sign up for a FedEx Delivery Manager account. You'll get alerts from FedEx when your phone is picked up from Moto, including the FedEx tracking number, expected delivery date, etc. (this will then be active for any packages sent to you/your address via FedEx)
2. I can't answer. Free Skip was not an offer when I purchased my Developer Edition back in November.
3. They don't really advertise an email address for customer service. If you visit Moto's web site and select help, there are options to submit requests via their web site for certain things like returns, device help, etc. But not a "customer service" email address. What are you wanting to do?
As you may tell, I've received it. I could see updates at the Moto web page. Got the Skip too, but haven't played with it yet. It arrived MUCH earlier than expected, but I'm within a day's ground shipping of the factory, so YMMV.
So far, not sure about the Air grippy case. The rubber helps some, but it's no Seidco nor Defender case.
Everything else so far? WOW! Compared to my old DD, this beats it in nearly every way.
I'm surprised how cute some of the custom apps are. Whether they remain after the honeymoon...

Bad News!!
My order was cancelled by Motorola and they are not mentioning why online. I will have to call their US hotline number to find out the reason for the cancellation.
Anyways, I couldn`t wait and had no hopes of that US order getting through so I ordered the Moto X 16gb from the local online retailer here in India (Flipkart).

I was just looking to put in an order this morning. I got an estimated delivery time of 5 days, then when I put it in my cart, I got a delayed to October 9 (10 days out). Even internally their shipping software can't figure out when things will ship.
I ordered a 32gb Pure Edition with a black front on Sept. 18 and was given an estimated shipping date of October 13.
Assuming preordering counts, I ordered a Moto Maker Moto x on September 19th, and got it on September 25th, one day before the predicted ship date. I think it was because I ordered the 16 gb version though.
I ordered the Vzw Moto X on Friday morning, the 26th. Looks like it will be delivered tomorrow, the 30th...:good:

Looks like the timing is highly variable. I expect they produce these in batches. So one day they might do VZW, then the next AT&T, because they have to switch internal boards. Also, they probably assemble a batch of leather, then a batch of soft touch etc.
On top of this, when you read all the different shipping threads, it appears they are experiencing various shortages - white fronts, bamboo backs, and the Pure edition internals all appear to be backordered, although there are reports of expected deliveries for some of those parts anticipated this week. Because of the backorders, I expect they are changing their batch production schedule, so even though the system might have anticipated a certain schedule, that schedule appears to be in flux, thus leading to a large discrepancy in production times.
For what its worth, I ordered a Verizon Cognac leather 32gb on Friday morning (1am) (9/26) and it should be here today, 9/30 When I ordered, it said 6 days. When it "entered production", it said Oct 1, so it appears it will be here a day early. And it even sat Sunday and Monday the Fedex station, because it was scheduled for a 2 day delivery, and no, they wouldn't let me pick it up early It actually "arrived" at the local facility 20 min before the stock Verizon bamboo version that I ordered through VZW on Friday at 1am. But the VZW one was delivered yesterday, because it was "1 day"
Thanks for all of the info guys! I went ahead and placed my order - Verizon 16GB version, with black front. They quoted 6 days, delivering Oct, 6th. Seems pretty good. Looked like if I had ordered the 32GB version it would have been 10 additional days right now. And white front is also a longer wait.
We'll see if their estimate is correct and mine arrives on the 6th!
I ordered the 32Gb At&t Moto X via Moto Maker on Sept 27th, and though motorola's website said it was backordered until October 12th, I received a call from Motorola telling me they are currently assembling my phone, and the phone arrived at my doorstep today, September 30th.
Ordered mine on the 26th got it today 32 gb verizon

Looks like Motorola beat their own prediction. While Motorola's site still shows that it hasn't shipped, I just got a shipping notification from FedEx that my phone will be here the 2nd instead of the 8th. Awesome, just in time for my birthday on Friday.

I ordered my Verizon phone on Sept 26 w/Motomaker. The original email from Motorola gave a delivery date of Oct 2. The 'your order has shipped' email said Oct 1 but I received it on Sept 30. Not too shabby!

Did you hear anything yet? I have the same shipping date as you but I haven't heard anything. Granted they still got practically 2 weeks left.
Hi everyone,
I ordered my 2014 Moto X just like everyone else on 9/16 and the next day I realized I made a mistake and wanted to change from AT&T to Pure version if I could. They said I will have to chat later, and I talked to them everyday till 9/26 when they said they cancelled the order and I will get a refund to order another one since that is the only way to do it at Motorola.
After a couple days, I got the phone even though Motorola site shows it as not shipped, Motorola chat told me it was cancelled and I should not have gotten the phone and I will get refund in a week.
I shipped the phone back, they got it on 10/07 and since then I have talked to them every single day about the phone and they still haven't refunded me or helped me in any other way.
I did find a couple of people helpful but it's not helping. It's been way over a month and I'm out a lot of money and I don't have a phone either. Does anyone have any hookups or contacts at Motorola who can help me out maybe? A number other than generic 1-800 number that would have a better answer than 24-48 hours or 7-10 business days?
Any help will be appreciated.

So I decided to do an expedited shipping for my moto X since some of the leather was peeling. So I get the redemption code and all and then I make the new moto X. Then it says that its completed but I still haven't gotten any confirmation email or anything from Moto about the new one. So I come to you guys, is this some sort of miscommunication or what?
