So my phone will not longer boot. It started like this: all of a sudden it wouldn't work properly when in a phone call, I could hear the other person but they wouldn't hear me. So I just turned off my phone and when I tried to turn it back on the triangle icon wth wrench and screwdriver appeared as seen in the image below (I had around 40% battery). I left it like that for almost an hour and since it wouldn't turn back on I did the power+volume up but it would load back on to the triangle. Then I removed the micro sd and power+volume up and it loaded the sony logo, then the xperia logo, then this sony colored waves/smoke started and the 3rd time this "wave" crossed the screen, it just froze and began a never ending loop of sony+xperia+waves+restart... over and over again :S It stopped only after long pressing power button + volume up. I tried pluggin it on my pc and starting the Sony PC companion but doesnt recognizes the phone. I read in another post that they fixed this issue by connecting the phone to the PC and launching sony's pc updater. But I don't know what's this "sony pc updater" thing, if they mean PC companion Ive tried it out and doesnt work for me.
Thx in advance for any help! (btw, my xperia z is with the latest update installed)

Possible Solution :
Install the STOCK ftf file of Xperia Z into Your Phone Using Flashmode.
What You will need is
1. Flashtool
2. Ftf file for Xperia Z (Download the ftf from your device thread)
Flash The ROM ftf file.
You should be running the phone by the time you finish.
I fixed it!!

I finally fixed it!!
As dwarkesh2492 said (thx a lot by the way), all I did was download a stock rom (I found the italian unbranded version here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2293794) and flashed it with flashtool beta 6 ( tutorial on how to do it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240614). At first it wouldn't start flashing but I tried several times plugging and unplugging my phone while holding volume down and it finally flashed It was the 1st time I ever flashed a ROM or anything so I'm sure anyone can do it.
I hope it helped.

I had this yesterday, try the power button for about 15 seconds or the above method of power and volume up
If you see the screen in the attached image, then just wait for it to finish working, which the bar at the bottom shows it's doing.
hey guys! thanks alot its working... Im really apreciate your help,, see here Im still newbie

What method exactly worked for you?
I'm having the same triangle screen, I interrupted it by pressing vol up + down + power, and after that it just showed the Sony logo. The battery died and when I try to charge it now, the only sign of life is the red LED and "SONY". I won't go into flashmode (yet) so flashtool is not an option. I'll try to charge it whole night (am in the Netherlands) and try flashtool again tomorrow.
Btw. I am on RomAUR which is nearly stock .253 and this means I have root too. Locked BL. The problem appeared after rebooting the phone because I suddenly didn't mount the external SD.
Any help appreciated, thanks!!

Ok. If you havent unlocked the bootloader, then go to service centre ( if under warranty)
apreantly it was my battery that made the problem.
replacing the battery and flashing fixed it

What was the last thing that did you do with your phone? Can you still boot it to flashmode? Or have you already installed all drivers for z1?

Try to use the emergency reboot place on the sim tray. the little red button. Did you also tried the combination Power + Volume up and Power + Volume down (Flashmode and fastboot respectively) while the flashtool is runnning?

yes , believe me , i've tried all that things you've said, and it still didn't work
Or have you tried a different cable? if thats not helped you, im affraid you must bring it to the sony repair. but there's one method you can still do, but you must proceed with caution since you will remove the back panel of your phone. see this link >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2646405
Hey everyone, I could't wait for the OTA update so I downloaded the stock Rom and flashed through Flashtool and now the phone is dead, can't turn it on, no led lights, I trying everything by reading other ancient threads about this with other devices but I was unsuccessful... I left it charging during the night but its the same. I managed to connect it via flash tool but it only says Device connected with USB debugging off and nothing more happens. Doesn't even vibrate with vol + or -
Anyone can help?
By the way, my bootloader is locked so this should't happen from what I've read
Did you tried to turn off device using Reset button located near sim tray?
u don't mention what variant u have, what ftf tried to flash, what happened when dead, what flashtool version are u using.....
Try to connect on fastboot mode or flashmode to see what really dead is your phone, if u can connect into flashmode just get another ftf and flash it

My variant is E6553
I had android 5.0.2 and I tried to flash this one I downloaded E6653_32.1.A.1.163_TH.ftf
I'm using the latest version of flash tool
I cannot connect on fast boot because When I unplug and press the vol + as mentioned by flashtool, nothing happens
However if I keep holding vol - for about 1 min flash tool recognizes the device Device connected with USB debugging off but from here I can't do nothing I guess.
I followed a web tutorial to flash, everything went ok, not any problems, flashtool said the flashing was successful, to unplug and turn on the phone, however when I tried to turn up the phone nothing happens, no led light, no vibration, is like dead...
When I flashed I had like 40% battery life
Now I left the phone connected to charger for about 12 hours and is still the same, no led

Are you absolutely sure you downloaded the E6553 FTF or the E6653? Because the E6653 is the Xperia Z5, not the Z3+

Yes, I flashed the correct one, the z5 is E6653 I think
I had the same but managed to reset using the button next to the SIM tray.
First of all I was freaking out because the sharp pencil I was trying which seemed to press it down did nothing. I then tried with a pin; this pushed the button in much further, I felt and buzz and then the phone worked again.
After charging overnight the phone seemed to be dead again, did the hard reset and it's been working since,
There do seem to be a few bugs with 6.0. Not entirely happy with it after such a long wait.

Have u seen if PC comapnion detect the phone?.... I have no ideas it's kinda rare what happened
Hi guys, i had my Z3+ on stock lollipop, no root or bootloader unlocked whatsoever, received the ota for 6.0, on the reboot it never came back to life...:crying:
It won´t boot, won´t charge, looks like it´s completely dead, i´ve tried vol up+power, vol down+power and nothing worked, the lcd is always off, no lights or notification led whatsoever.
The only thing that it does is when connecting to PC it appears as "qhsusb_bulk" on the drivers list, even on flashtool logs says connected but it can´t flash because it won´t change to flash mode.
My Z3+ is no longer on warranty...
So guys, do you think it´s dead?
