False. It´s even faster.
Same for me.
5.0.1 doubled my speed !
After a new flash it seems really faster
It's no different for me.
It now butters my toast.
My only problem is with battery. 60% in 3 hours without touch the smartphone.
its smooth as butter man here man, i would say even better reception with new radio
It seems like any update has a random chance of causing issues such as slow downs. Try a factory reset.
I feel faster

For me 1% with wifi off.
Feels faster for me too. I noticed it immediately.
5.0.1 seems to bring the micro stutters (music buzzing) that are more often now than on 5.0. I had before a Nexus 4 and the stuttering was really bad. Had flashed the factory image of 5.0.1 and the stuttering is worse than ever. Went back and forth between 5.0 and 5.0.1 just to test behavior, but regarding this issue, 5.0.1 is much worse. Reverted back to 5.0 as it is more stable. And kernel build date, 20 October, really? (as there seemed to be slight changes between 5.0 and 5.0.1)
This discussion is pretty useless TBH. It depends on the user mostly. Someone's got 50 apps installed and uses the phone just for phone calls, someone else may have 250 apps installed and uses the phone for all kind of things. Which means you can't really compare it.

I've been experiencing very bad battery life lately. Currently using PAC, I could lose 10% of battery in under 20 minutes of normal web browsing with the brightness set all the way to low. I'm underclocked and undervolted, battery health is good. I don't really know what's causing my media server thing to use so much battery but it's definitely chewing up more juice than normal. How am I supposed to fix this?
Stop media scanning.
On the Store there is an app called Rescan Media Root.
Media server drain ia usually caused by the sd scanning proccess, sometimes a bad file can cause it to go nuts and keeps the proccess alive, thus killing your battery.
Give it a go.

I will also try this, my phone is only two days old and the battery life on this device is absolutely horrible compared to my Samsung Galaxy Note 2, I will check back with you folks and let you know the results
It is horrible compared to a Note 2, even if you didn't have that bug.
Plus, CM, AOSP, and PAC, all of them don't have that great of a battery life compared to stock.
Say you can get a solid 5+ hours out of a stock rom with few tweaks, whereas on those buolds mentioned you could get 4h, with not so great idling times.

Obviously horrible compared to a note 2 since note 2 has a bigger battery and lower resolution screen?

and if its not rooted?
I'm trying it our now, report back in a day or so. This phone is bound to have worse battery life than the Note 2, it has 2 more cores, 2x more pixels, LCD screen, smaller battery, if you want great battery life go back to the Note or get a battery case. I didn't know that stock gives me more battery, maybe I should go back :/

Sony stock is very good rom to me. I will go to custom rom only if sony discontinued the updates, or sony makes the rom while drunk ( too much bugs, unstable... )
And, don't undervolt too much, -100mV is ok,
there's some test out there (not APQ8064), when undervolt too much, the processor will messed up the calculation, and re-calculate the process, wasting more battery and time. [this is applied to my old xperia arc]
If on Intel X86, I never get any issues/drawbacks from undervolting.
Sorry if I'm wrong, and sorry for my bad english.

i never said i had a custom rom, i went to install it, and it said i had to be rooted, and I'm not rooting my phone yet, thats why I asked if something similar was available for non rooted users.
Of course I'm not saying it's gonna get magically better but you should really give it more of a chance than two days a couple full charge cycles will help some, plus being new your prob setting up alot etc

thats definitely true, I know these batteries aren't supposed to have "memory" but should I do the full charge and drain with them?
I guess I'm under the assumption of it being newer and better technology then my Galaxy Note 2 I was coming from, I was expecting it to be right off the bat better.
thanks

Bad battery? So this type not worthed to buy?
Hey, the "rescan media server" app fixes the battery drain temporarily. How do I find out and delete the file that is causing my media scanner to keep running? I switched over to another ROM a few hours ago and media scanner is still taking a big chunk of my battery until I kill it. Do I need to reformat my card? Run anti virus?
Try this app. It is an android issue not an Sony issues. The mediaserver running all the time. This app will help. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.addz.mediascannerroot

Crazy undervolt. I thought my -200 was about the max you could achieve.
I ran an Antutu benchmark and was surprised to find that I scored only 15078! That's like half what it should be, right?
Only questionable app running is themer. Any other ideas what could be causing such a low benchmark? Phone is not particularly laggy. Maybe when hanging up calls sometimes, I end up hitting the wrong button because it lags after hangup.
Update: uninstalled themer and that got it up to 20,000 but still rather low...

It's because much like the newer Samsung phones, your becnhmark results were boosted. Part of the KK update blocks boosted benchamark scores. This is also why results are so different between stock and source builds. What you're getting now, and what you would get on source based builds are your more accurate benchmarks.
Besides, benchmarks don't matter 1 bit. They in no way reflect real world use.
Hello.
My T-Mobile G4 has had 6.0 Marshmallow since February. I've noticed since I've updated to Marshmallow that the performance is definitely worse than Lollipop, particularly in gaming. Games will seem to run fine for about 30 seconds or so, then the framerate just completely goes out of whack. These aren't little micro stutters, but jumpy, jittery, and wobbly graphics problems. I was able to run the FPS meter app to see what the games were running at. Sure enough, the game (I tested Hill Climb Racing with the fps app, but the issues exist in every game I've tried. 2D and 3D) would run at 59-60 fps for about 30 seconds, then when the jitters started, it went down to 51 fps according to the app.
Now, I've seen these same jittery scrolling issues on Dolphin Browser (other browsers too, but to a lesser degree), Gmail, QuickPic, YouTube, Google+, and even the freaking home screen. I've factory reset multiple times and ran the phone without installing any apps, tested the phone in safe mode, cleared the cache, removed the sd card, formatted the sd card, switched batteries, turned on airplane mode, toggled game optimizer, toggled some developer options, and even went through 3 different warranty exchanges (two manufactured in May 2015 and my current one from July 2015). The ONLY THING that seems to help is time. The longer I have the phone on (maybe about 5 days to a week), the better chance the phone has of smoothing out. I kept the phone on for 35 days straight recently because I knew it would get sluggish again if I restarted and I was right. I unfortunately had to restart due to a WiFi issue.
The main reason I'm posting here is because I haven't gotten an answer anywhere else. Apparently, either everyone else has a G4 that actually performs just fine on Marshmallow or they just don't seem to notice (not sure how they couldn't, considering how obvious the graphics problems are).
Is it a kernel/governor issue? Perhaps there's a developer that can tell me what's going on with the phone?

Thanks for that link. Unfortunately, they don't seem to provide any solution (maybe root), but it at least shows that I'm not the only one with these performance irregularities.

Are all MM phones having performance problems in some way? I've heard that phones like the Nexus 6P have pretty much flawless performance. I've heard that the Oneplus 3 is like butter too.
Is MM just crippling older SOC's like the 808?

not sure never been on MM when i got my phone, i flash LP just for root. and cause i read that battery isnt good and performance.. it could be.. and that it isnt optimized... theres new 20o firmware not sure how it works... but be aware that once you flash 20o thers no going back to LP.. as long as you on 20i you can go back to LP 10N otherwise youll brick your phone 20i adn 10N are antirollback V2 the new 20o its V3.
I have only been using it around 12 hours but it seems a lot snappier than stock MM and a hell of a lot better than the last round of beta's.
Memory management seems vastly improved.
Few little things are annoying me like sharp noises when making a call, black notification drawer.
Also my banking app (Barclays) doesn't work.
However so far there aren't any problems that will stop me from using this as a daily driver.
I can't comment on battery life yet as I only took my phone off charge a few hours ago.
What does everyone else think?
I think that's worth waiting I'm working on B336 since January (beta project) and I'm happy with battery, maybe performance could be a bit better. But if B370 is as good as you say, than all grand.
I guess there ia no app drawer and private space?

Private space and app twin are not there, same as USB OTG. Apart from that, it's working great, stable, fast, smooth, it's prettier than MM. I feel that battery life is worse than on MM - for now I get something like hour less screen on time than on MM (5 and a half vs 6 and a half hours). But, it's too early to tell - I found out only today that WiFi scanning was turned on, although I have turned it of while on MM. Also, seems like RAM management is even more aggressive on Nougat, and that's a bad thing for multitasking. There's additional bloat - Avast antivirus is included. I don't need f_cking antivirus on my phone.
Phone i much faster and fluid , remote app for telefunken tv does not work , cannot find tv , and no one app for locking the screen works , it locks the screen but when you try to unlock from fingerprint , asks for pin , otherwise everything is fast , great and beautiful....
I decided to update to B370..for now everything is smooth,but... One thing from MM is still here.

Screen on time is not the problem. Standby Drain is the problem. If u dont use it much and leave it idle it drains without any reason.

No drain here in standby at B370. Everything working well. For example, going to sleep with 60%, after 8 hrs geting up with 58% left. Bluetooth works fine, Camera and Video focus working. No crashes or reboots. I dont know why a lot oft people having these Problems. Before i upgrade from MM, i maked sure that enough free space (5 GB) is available. After Upgrade i did a full Factory Reset.
Hello guys, i have a problem. With my mobile. The battery works really well but when it comes otcamera usage, it draisn the battery fast, the locations used to turn on auto but i disabled it, yet i still need to check more. Does anyone know the problem? And its solution?
I thought that because of 2cameras plus the process of merging the 2 photos to get only one....
