Same problem. I tried removing all my widgets from the home launcher, except the stock clock widget. battery improved significantly. Kept it one page,
4 dock items.(2 folder, 2 apps). No app shortcuts on the homescreen. .157 is buggy.

so, no one else can help?

[Q] Large Battery Loss Overnight

Hi,
With all applications closed, data/wifi/gps/sync all turned off and no screen usage my phone went from 100% to 19% overnight (roughly 8 hours). I did this as a test after my phone would randomly throughout the day drop by large percentages.
Prior to running testing the battery overnight I put it to charge, and I found that it charged from ~20% to 100% in only an hour, which I believe is abnormally fast.
I am on the stock ROM with the stock kernel and no other applications installed.
What might be the cause of this?
Could this be a software issue (ie: software stopping the charge early or the displayed battery percentage being off)? Or is this likely to be the hardware?
Thank you for your help!
Try completely draining the battery then charging it with no powering on ( just plug it in then dont touch it) for 5+ hours
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda app-developers app

many causes are possible, however most obvious one is rampant wakelock called baseband_xmm. no definite solution, although custom kernels have dealt somewhat with it.

I have stock ROM (JB India version). I noticed similar trend a few days ago. I had done factory reset and subsequent to that, battery loss overnight is less than 1%.
You could try the same.

i have a similar problem :/
@rudders93 @zri best you can do now is to install betterbatterystats. it will tell if anything is keeping your phone cpu on.
Thanks so much for the replies!
As suggested, I found that completely draining the battery and then charging the phone while it's off resolved the issue

LocationManagerService eating battery overnight

Every night i leave my phone with 2G active only: wifi, sync and 3G data is off.
Before upgrade to 4.3 it wopuld use 2 or 3% overnight, in about 8 hours.
After upgrade to 4.3 battery drain is now 8% in 8 hours.
I have installed batter battery stat and I have found out that the cause may be LocationManagerService that in 8 hours has issued partial wakelocks for 15 minutes, with a count of 1,000+ calls for a total of 30% battery drain.

It seems this is a general android problem, also an old one... mmmmmmmmm...
Will do some more google search, but till now in 3+ hours of serach I have found no solution...
Could please someone with 4.3 run the same test?
1. Install better battery stat
2. put phone in flight mode
3. put phone on charge for 5 minutes
4. unplug phone and let it saty for 6 or 8 hours overnight
5. run better battery stat and check the battery drain and rationduring the 6/8 hours and under partial wakelocks report the LocationmanagerService data
Thanks

[Q] Battery drain rooted with Google play ROM 4.4.2

Hi all, my att HTC one is rooted with Google play edition 4.4.2, xposed framework, and gravitybox. According to my battery stats, I have 35% battery with Android system taking 55% and Google services 33%. I have 2.5 hrs screen on time. Anyone have an idea what the problem is?
Thanks in advance

Did you tried to change location settings?
In what way? I'm also using Google experience launcher.

settings--> location
then disable wifi and mobile data location
My battery is charging now, when it hits 100% I'll test it. One other thing- since rooting and installing stock the battery seems to charge way faster now. Is this normal or is it a problem with my battery?
After 5 min, with WiFi and location data off, I played a bit of a game. Here is what happened. Battery down to 91%. Android system took 84% the game (its 2d) took 4 percent, and the screen took 2%. Any thoughts?

download a battery management app so you can seen exactly what is draining your battery. With stock htc battery app, it show me android system is draining my battery, but with other app I can pinpoint what is draining my battery. Maybe try this one
Done. Apparently android ui is taking 50% of my battery.
One other thing- I tried to use ART to save battery but it wouldn't enable- when I enabled it would rest at and still be using dalvik. This is with xposed, gravitybox uninstalled. Why does this happen?

[Q] Is there a fix for the broken battery stats screen for GPE 4.4.2?

So I've had this problem for a long time on the battery stats screen since I started using the stock GPE ROM and it is completely inaccurate. See the screens attached. There is no way that nearly 4 an a half hours of screen on time only used 7% of the battery. Sometimes the screen on time doesn't even show up in the list because apparently it is so small...
Nothing broken here.
Yes, 4 hours of running the LCD backlight could drain as little as 7% of the battery's capacity.
Your battery life *itself* could be improved (it looks sadly typical of 4.4.2 with location services left on all default settings), but the battery history display is right. Good luck.

4hrs SOT on a ONE should push the screen to the top of the statistics. Never observed such behaviour on any other kitkat phone.
EDIT:
Forgot to add that my battery life is good. It is not a battery issue.

[Q] Very poor battery

I just sideloaded 5.1 and I use Battery widget pro.
After 5.1 when I unplug my device this widget tells me I have 8 hours of battery left.
Even on 5.0 my battery seemed pretty poor but at least it would be at 12 to 14. I just don't get how it can be that bad.
Sometimes after turning it off then back on the battery level will adjust to something higher.
Is this possibly an app issue draining my battery? Anyone have any tips suggestions?
Best,
Ryan

Let it run for a day and see how much battery life you actually get. Maybe let it drain all the way out once and recharge it to 100%. I know when I ran custom ROMs on my Nexus devices, it would take a couple of days before the battery stats adjusted and displayed correct info. I once had a battery meter say 1% for about an hour before my phone died after switching to a new ROM.
How did it go? I noticed massive battery draining wakelocks on 5.1, related to phone and location. Without Xposed I don't know how to control them.
Cheers!
