Question what is a good alternative to add customizations to my ROM. I use to use exposed but don't think it works on the nexus6. If I am wrong about exposed working please let me know if there is a special way to install it.

exposed does not work on art, period. android 5.0 brings art to our devices, by default. whatever modifications you would like to make to your nexus 6 has to be a "real" modification that you can do to n6.
Well for starters I want to add the exchange block. Led notification and others. Is there a program like xposed with a repository of mods like xposed?

The LED mod can be added with a kernel along with DT2W, you can also use lightflow free to enable the LEDS using mixer mode to set notification lights e.c.t
Check the lighg flow instructions in its thread or one of the many how to guids online.

Is there an app that can disable the lights in the captive buttons?
I still want them to be functional, I just don't want them on.

I'll second this, from a theming point of view, this would be a desirable thing to have... perhaps someone could suggest a hack instead
I was about to suggest this app:
https://market.android.com/details?id=net.geekherd.softbuttonshack
however it is clearly stated that this is not possible on the Nexus S
*ALERT: The Samsung Nexus S will NEVER be supported. Not because I don't want to, but because it is not possible, I own one and I have tried and tried. Samsung (or Google) have decided that the bottom LEDs will always be on as long as the display is on, powered at the same time. Obviously breaking a few APIs as well as the ability to turn those LEDs off based on the light-sensor.*

I'd like that too :/ +1

Hmm well I've experienced instances where the screen is on but my buttons didn't light up. It looked pretty cool with a black background which lead me to start this thread.

I'd rather an app but I think CM has this feature

I am looking for a way to turn notifications off automatically during night hours on stock ROM.
Is there any option in Sense 5?
Looking for not installing other apps. I've purchased Sound Profiles in the past for earlier phones, but with AOSP etc I stopped using other apps and was looking for inbuilt options in the ROM.

I haven't seen an option, but I didn't look to thoroughly. I use Tasker to accomplish that.
I know I could use multiple additional things...
HTC - if yo aure listening, this should be a must..

I was told by HTC to tell them about your suggestions here. Make noise on things and features you want. I submitted this very same idea... I'm with you. The more they hear about it, the better our chances:

Yeah there are many fancier routes with each it's merits but I was hoping to get an out of the box feature like CynogenMod

With nothing developed for this version at this time, what does rooting bring to the Note 3
Rooting allows you to make the phone tolerable to look at. You can install Xpsosed framework and Wannam to clean up the notification shade. App settings can change the DPI of different apps. There are plenty of reasons to root if you're on the fence about it.

Also allows you to fully delete any 'bloatware' apps you do not want or use versus just disabling them and the files are still left on the phone.

AdAway.
Franco has a display control for the nexus that I have used twice. N4 and n5. I was a huge fan of the app. It had gamma control and presets. Unfortunately the n6 isn't listed as a supported device. Does anybody know of of any good mods or apps for this? Throw in your fav mods screen or not screen related. I'm trying to spruce this baby up. PS. The display is awesome as is but I'm trying to max out.

I know. I should read through the forum. I did. I don't see anything that answers my specific question. Maybe I missed it.

Franco udater app has screen control and works fine with the n6. It has preloaded settings also to try.
Is anyone else having trouble with Sygic GPS? This gps program used to run just fine for me until I got my Nexus 6. Now when I try to run it I can't navigate, search for locations, and get force closes. I sent an email to the company support email and am waiting on a response.
I have tried this on Meanpop rom, and stock rom and it still fails. Any information or help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Really? I am the only one?

None of the above mentioned issues here (neither 5.1.1 stock nor dirty unicorn)!

Maybe. There are a whole bunch of nav programs available for Android devices, so it wouldn't entirely surprise me if you find that others favor other software. I use Copilot, which works perfectly on N6.
I am using Sygic on my 6 quite a bit and have had no problems at all with it. I am running stock with Franco's kernal.
Thank you for the replies. I can't figure out why I am having such issues with it. This is driving me nuts.

Yes if you disabled all modules and restart your phone and run sygic it will work.

Tried that and no dice, even uninstalled xposed after I disabled the modules, restarted the phone and it still force closes.
Thanks for trying to help though.

I have been using Sygic for a couple of years on my S4 and now on my N6 and I haven't had any problems with it on my N6 and I use it a lot.
I am running 5.1 stock ROM (rooted).
Xposed was causing it to crash. I had to disable my mods in xposed, then uninstall xposed, then use root file explorer and delete ANY and ALL references to xposed and reboot my phone. Once I did all of that my Sygic worked just fine.
