test_boot.img should be in the folder, c:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools\
since that is where you are running flashboot from

looks like installing a rooted img breaks wifi. i did the superboot/paulobrian method then installed the voodoo ext 4 kernel, then wifi was broken.
i reflashed my boot.img and re-updated via recovery and i have wifi back.

I wouldn't flash the recovery partition, either.
The recovery-from-boot.p is in /system. I renamed it before the first boot using TWRP's file manager. I also flashed supersu. It's booting now...need to get to bed, though. Will report tomorrow.
Edit: Boot is successful. L.
Edit: This is my first go around with L. The checking for updates thing at sign on is interesting.
Flashed via fastboot and setting up now. I will report back with initial results and fire away any question you may want specifically answered.
FYI, first boot took about 6 minutes...

Any major differences than the couple of versions built from source?
Fyi, you will probably need SuperSU beta 2.19 and modified boot image for root. There is a titanium backup that works with l (beta). There may be a command that reflashes stock recovery on reboot (it's in /system /bin).

Could someone make a flashable zip for multirom or normal flashing. ?
Nexus Root Toolkit
has anyone tried flashing this via nexus root toolkit? that software recently goot updated to 1.9.3 and has the abiloity to flash the Lollipop factory preview on those devices that got it.

[LOLLIPOP 5.1][STOCK] Cherry Mobile One H940 Official Links

Here're the official links for Cherry Mobile One H940:
For fastboot flashable images:
Builds Available: LBY29G, LMY47O
Download: here
For OTAs:
Build: LBY29G -> LMY47O
Android Version: 5.1 (Beta) -> 5.1 Official
Download: here
Flashing Instructions:
A. Using ADB sideload (for recovery flashable update zips):
1.) Flash stock recovery.
2.) Boot to stock recovery.
3.) Perform up + power button to show menu.
4.) Select Apply update from ADB.
5.) Install ADB drivers if on Windows and not yet installed.
6.) Open cmd prompt.
7.) Change directory to where you downloaded the update zip.
8.) Issue cmd: adb sideload <update.zip filename>
9.) Wait until completed.
10.) Select reboot.
B. Using fastboot:
1.) Boot into bootloader.
2.) Flash image using fastboot flash <partition name> <image filename>.img command.
3.) Reboot using fastboot reboot command.
C. Using DD (for flashing images like system.img):
1.) Boot into custom recovery. (you could use fastboot boot custom-recovery.img so that you don't overwrite your existing one)
2.) Push image file to /sdcard using adb push command. (you might have to mount the sdcard partition before doing this)
3.) Open an ADB command shell.
4.) Go to /sdcard.
5.) Find the system partition by issuing a cat /proc/partitions command. It should be the one sized exactly 1GB (1,024,000 shown).
6.) Use dd if=/sdcard/<image filename>.img of=/dev/block/<name of partition> .
7.) Reboot either using custom recovery or just issuing an adb reboot after exiting from ADB command shell.
do you have another working file for LMY47O system.img? i'm getting a fastboot flash fail (chunk unkown) error. thanks

Ok By going back to "stock boot," does this mean I have to re-lock the bootloader? I believe that I have only used the ALL-IN ONE TOOL in this thread to do the 3 things mentioned above, and also installed Lucky Patcher, Greenify, Busybox (Free) and Ad-Away in relation to root access, so I am not 100% sure by what you mean. Thanks again.

No you don't need to relock the bootloader. You just need to flash stock boot partition. This is usually replaced when rooting.

Still, it should be foolproof. I already checked and double-checked the system image I uploaded and it's mountable in Linux so it should restore correctly like the previous LBY image. I can't think of any other reason aside from some sort of protection that would disallow flashing of the system image through both fastboot and dd.
*On second thought, I'm reupping the image. I just flashed it using dd on my device and it works perfectly.
success, was running a windows 7 virtual machine in OSX. it must have been a protection, you are right...ran it using OSX instead (stupid me, why i didn't use it in the first place for fastboot).

Need help in Flashing the Stock Recovery.
Hi Guys,
I need help in flashing the stock recovery.
I've used the ALL-IN-ONE TOOL to unlock my phone's bootloader, flash the PhilZ Touch Customer recovery and Root my CM1
[http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro.../tool-master-tool-unlock-bootloader-t2997696]
However I'm unsuccessful flashing the stock recovery from the ALL-IN-ONE TOOL so I can update my phone's software to Android 5.1.1.
Can I flash the stock recovery using one of the files here? If yes, can someone please teach me how.
Thanks in advance!
OTG
Hi,
Just a quick question, after flashing using this ROM, will CM One support OTG? Or do I need to root the phone first? Is there a way to add support for OTG?
Pardon me if this may not be much related to the topic.

Razr I XT890 4.4.2 EU OTA update

I'm surprised that nobody else has uploaded any of the OTAs yet, so I thought I'd start.
I uploaded it on 2 servers, in case one is down:
Blur_Version.91.2.26001.XT890.Retail.en.EU.zip:
wicked fast: https://mega.nz/#!FU4TBDyb!Cl3OB3M2GTvG-gcDK0vWQNzI090EFJ60suqJpzPsiQo
also fast: http://180upload.com/ag1ccjfznluh
Again, this is stock Razr I EU OTA from 4.1.2 to 4.4.2
This should be very handy for the ones who still haven't received the OTA so you can flash it manually.
Please note that the GPT gets flashed, so a downgrade to 4.1.2 can be tricky after taking this update.

The stock recovery can be extracted from a RSD-Lite package. Than reboot in fastboot and use the command "fastboot flash recovery <recovery>". Now u will have the stock recovery instead of CWM.
Do know that going from 4.1.2 to 4.4.2 with the OTA update requires no modification to the system partition, except from adding files. Modifying files or deleting files from the system partition will make the update fail. So if u only have root installed through recovery then there is a hugh change everything works. But if u deleted some bloatdware, then it most likely will fail.

Can I apply this OTA update over a standard 4.1.2?. I am using 4.1.2 from Personal Argentina , recovery is stock, but only I have root. I know that is not update to 4.4.2 of my versión so I should go to retail BR or EU but if I flash via RSD I will lost all my settings.
So if I update using this OTA (or BR OTA) to go to 4.4.2 from other 4.1.2, can be a problem?

If you are in fastboot mode, the recovery's should flash just fine If u have an unlocked bootloader. Should not be more than 5-10 seconds to finish. If something goes wrong it will say it on screen and even in the terminal on your PC.

Observation On Infinix Hot 2 [X510-D5110-Androidone-20151208] on Root

So today I embarked on what seemed to be a fruitless journey as I tried to root the Infinix Hot 2 on the latest build (December Security Patch of course) and I observed the following:
1. Flashing TWRP Recovery that was previously made for this device doesn't Flash. SP/Infinix Flash Tool flashes the recovery quite alright but booting to recovery with ADB afterwards gives a "No command" screen.
2. Kingroot (PC & Mobile) can't root this device as of yet :'(
3. I think the bootloader can be unlocked using the Android One Toolkit that was created for 1st Gen Android One devices. Reason being the fact it booted to fastboot and prompted me with the option to accept bootloader unlock or not.
Should you come come successful with flashing recovery or rooting this latest build, please comment your method. Thank you...

recovery partition is protected, it will get back to stock recovery if you boot the system. so you really need to boot recovery as the first thing you do after flashing.
which because of the similar bug we can't unlock our bootloader, is impossible to do with default setting. flash your lk partition with this:
