This is weird. I changed the DPI so that it looks better on my n6 but now my Swiftkey keyboard looks ridiculously large. Any help with this?

You can change the size of SwiftKey
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
long press 123 on bottom left of swiftkey > resize > change accordingly.
changing dpi probably put it in tablet mode is my guess
Dpi on 493 everything okay here with swifkey
You need to change the dpi in the build prop and via adb and reboot. I had the same thing happen with SwiftKey.
I did backup the old file but when I replaced to get back the original dpi, I shift bricked my phone lol
Everything is back to normal.

I have the same issue with swiftkey in my Nexus 5. I try change dpi to 493 but still keyboard is huge.
Did you find a solution?
BR,
Carlos
Swiftkey update yesterday resolved the issue
WHAT'S NEW
- Adding support for Japanese (Romaji input method) into SwiftKey for the very first time
GENERAL UPDATES, TWEAKS & IMPROVEMENTS
- Fixed 'small font' bug in Android Marshmallow
- Faster & more responsive
- Fewer crashes
- Bug fixes
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Incidentally, users of SwiftKey should try out their SwiftKey Neural Alpha... It seems more predictive to me

I wasnt satisfied with 1024x600p resolution the icons were huge so i rooted my tab with z4 and ive installed LCD Density .. and im keeping my tab at 200dpi (not to big but not to low either).
I have a question .. will this drain my battery faster cause ive noticed my battery lasts less in the last 2 days.. or is it just my 3G connection (im on Froyo 2.2 XWJJ3 default stock rom).
Changing your lcd density will not effect your battery

I like mine at 175, but my question is- will lowering LCD density have an affect on how the android market detects app compatibility? There seems to be yes answers and no answers I'm very confused...
Sent from my GT-P1000 using Tapatalk
This is my second tablet device that I have changed the density for and it doesnt seem to affect any app compatibility.
Whenever I set 200 density, market doesnt show me many apps that I have downloaded for free and paid in "My Apps". It also doesnt let me update the apps that are not shown.
For a little while now I've had my density set back to 240. I also had some app update issues when the density was changed. Appbrain would often show apps that had updates available that didn't show up as updateable when I looked in the market. And although appbrain said there were updates the apps wouldn't update.
Haven't had any such problems with my density set back to 240.

Changing your density will only affect apps and games that are not compatible with the density that you change to. When I change my density to 200, which is my ideal resolution, I have 5 games that do not run and their icons show up as a green and while box with the android logo in the middle of the box, they also do not show up in the my apps list in the market. When I change back to the original density of 240 everything works as normal, all 5 apps run and their icons come back as they should and they also show back up in the my apps list in the market.

Funny how this doesn't affect everyone. But it affects a lot of us, thank you very much for a bit of clarity!

Does the camera work when set at 180? Mine doesn't work on anything below 200
182 was the lowest I could get and have the camera work.
I just tried 182 and it works now on mine.

Is there a way to change the density but keep the font size unchanged? Thanks

No, changing the density is changing the resolution. Everything gets smaller or larger at the same rate.

I bought the N7 a few weeks ago an love it. The only thing I found I didn't like was not
having home screen rotate to landscape mode. Luckily there is a free app in Google Play

I get so much lag doing the local.prop fix. Sometimes it works immediately when I rotate, but more times than not it will hang for 30-40 seconds before you see anything or can do anything. Ever since I turned off Currents everything else has been perfect except screen rotation. Any ideas?

Edit the build.prop file for true tablet ui with no lag. The dpi I use is 175 which is perfect. You do have to revert back to 213 to make purchases threw play. So I buy apps in bundles so I spend as little time with that hideous stock phone ui.

Why not just use a multi dpi play store like i do? I use slimBean, one is included with that. I can see all apps at any dpi

Or use EOS rom which has native DPI tablet mode and no worries at all.

I caved in and bought the ultimate rotation license for $4 :what: It seemed a bit much but it works like a charm with no lag and it rotates in a split second unlike the other methods I tried. Another thing I factored in was, I was able to also use the license for my samsung galaxy s3 cause touch wiz also doesn't rotate so I figure 4 bucks for 2 of my devices isnt that bad.

This is an odd problem for me. I really love the Lux Auto-Brightness app and use it all the time but I've been having this issue that's now preventing Lux from doing it's job. Third-party app control of Screen Brightness doesn't work. If I go into the Android settings and change the brightness from there it works fine but every single Third-party app I try can't control my brightness. I can't even control the Screen Brightness from within MXPlayer anymore and that was working fine as well. I've thought maybe something is wrong with Lux but uninstalling and rebooting didn't fix anything. Does anybody have any ideas what's causing this?

Stupid question but did you try changing the dpi back to the original setting? If so and it didn't change anything I would just do a dirty flash of stock rom. Changing dpi can screw up a lot of things.

Changing the dpi didn't help. Doing a dirty flash is an idea but I'd prefer trying something less extreme before doing that. It'd be a pain to re-setup root and things just to get brightness control fixed. At that point I'd probably just move on to a Custom ROM.

Hey everyone. Thanks in advance for the help. I don't know about everyone else... But every phone I have had I always change my density to around 360ish or there is a Rom preconfigured . it seems more functional to me lol. Any who... The one issue I have never solved is the lock screen and dial pad. They are all aligned to the left. It really bugs me. Anyone know how to fix this and center them

Get the app settings xposed module and change the dpi for them back to 480. People have remade some of them to be custom DPIs but im not entirely sure if they're compatible so you could try those or make your own if you dont want them at 480

Changing settings in build.prop needs a reboot to become active. There is a build.prop editor in the PS. My dpi is set to 384. Font size huge.
I don't want to change dpi of the whole phone, just a few apps.
