[HELP]

Guys,i have Retail 1058 Moto X with unlocked Bootloader,TWRP(latest and rooted) and i want to upgrade to 4.4.2!
Some guys already received the 4.4.2 brazilian update via OTA,and extracted the zip file, but, since im on custom recovery, the OTA doesnt reboot the phone into stock and go straight to TWRP,therefore, doesnt conclude the update, and keep restarting!
Since i need the phone,i did a factory reset via TWRP just to get things going!
But,i want to upgrade to 4.4.2!
Is there a way to do that?remove TWRP ou something else?
Thx in advance!

First thing is you have posted this in the wrong thread, should be in Q&A section. You need to flash both system and stock recovery to take an ota, I believe this has been mentioned more than a few times
Sent on my Moto X
Moved here, as this does not belong in the Dev Section...thanks. OP please read the Forum Rules on posting....

I've recently unlocked my bootloader and installed TWRP recovery to play a little with some framework modules but i have noticed that my battery is not that great after that so i want to go back, can you guys pleas help me? Will I lose my data? I also want to upgrade from OTA to 4.4.3 when it comes out in my country.

Return to stock threads. Use rsd to flash sbf to stock or fastboot the stock image files.

My moto x is XT1052 retail version, and I was regret to update to 4.4.4, so I flashed 4.4.2 version, but I stucked at partition so I stopped and find ways to back to 4.4.4, but I can't find a 4.4.4 asia retail version image for me to restore my phone via fastboot command, do anyone have the EU or Asia retail image of 4.4.4 of XT1052? I really need help!! Thank you soooo much!!!

You should have never attempted to downgrade. It is posted literally all over these forums to not attempt this. There is no 4.4.4 FXZ for any of the XT1052 variants yet. You can try some methods, but they all have risk. The only safe way to recover is to wait for the 4.4.4 FXZ to be released, but there's no telling when that will happen.
Some have had success by skipping the "flash partition gpt.bin" command, but if you do this you are at risk of bricking when you take the update back to 4.4.4. Again, some have been successful, but anyone that tells you it is completely safe is mistaken.
Good Luck :good:

Yeah, that post saved me. Also found a Russian page with the firmware.
Installed the version XT1052_RETAIL-EU_4.4.4_KXA21.12-L1.26_54_cid7_CFC_1FF.xml.zip , In my Case XT1052_RETAIL-EU_4.4.4 for the ASIAN Retail Version XT1052 if any one needs that. Theres also a GB and DE Version for 4.4.4
Update it via this Guide. Any method works.
PS: Dont try to boot recoveries without flashing with the Moto X. You´ll have a free heart attack like me.
FLASH the Recoveries. Get a Stock Recovery and flash it BEFORE installing any OTA.
Help me out too!!!

Even I hav been stuck on bootloader with no OS on my Moto x xt1052. I'v got the stock firmware but RSD Doesn't detect my device (probably because of no usb debugging enabled). I just have twrp recovery on my phone & when i try to adb sideload it doesn't work, also if i try to flash any custom rom through twrp i get the error "error executing updater binary in the zip" I read that I can manually flash stock rom through mfastboot but i cant find any procedure when i googled about it.
Pls guys help me out.
Hoping for Positive response at earliest.

Moto X XT1052 Return to Stock

Hey guys
I have the Indian version of the Moto X- XT1052.
I want to return it to stock so I can receive the OTA.
I found this image: http://www.filefactory.com/file/3qrd...FC_1FF.xml.zip
I want to know if this will revert all the changes that I have made to whatever it was when I got it.
Will it return boot, system and recovery to stock?
Could anyone give me clear instructions on how I can flash this image?
Do I need root access to flash this?
Does this downgrade the android version?
Thanks
