Watch size - LG G Watch R

Hi, sorry for making new thread about the size again. I'm wondering how big does the watch feel on every day, casual, use. In using real watch which has about 45 mm diameter and about .8 mm thick. I think that I could wear a bit bigger watch with suit and so one but I'm wondering if it would feel bulky as I have never worn a watch like g-shockand other watches same size.
Thanks if you could share your opinions.

I have really skinny wrists and this was my main concern but honestly it doesn't feel very big or heavy compared to a traditional watch at all. I haven't been able to wear watched previously to this smart watch due to size and weight but I'm really surprised by this. If you can go to a shop and see the moto 360 it's smaller than that.
Hope this helps and good luck

I don't think anyone really have answer to this question .. different arm size, different personal taste, different style ..
best thing to do is to go to a shop that sell the watch and try it out ..

Are all those relatively strong rare earth magnets a good idea? Won't that mess with things like navigation and storage?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
No the magnets won't affect it that way. It's an innovative idea for sure but the way the N7 is held in place is plain ugly! Also there doesn't seem to be any way to fix or hold the top cover in place when it's closed.
I think it's a great idea but not ready for market quite yet, at least I wouldn't buy it as is.
Very clever but ugly. Not sure why you would want to stick your tablet to the fridge?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
i really want one and would get it if it was like 20 bucks but looks like it will be at least 70 which is a no go for me especially since it doesn't look like it protects the corners.
Nope. The front cover, a rather important part, looks like it's got several slits in it to facilitate all of that silly folding.
Ehh I wouldn't be too sure about the internal Compass. The Transformer TF101 had issues with this and magnets.
Pretty slick idea. Looks like a great case but not for me. I hope he sells a lot of them and does well.
Looks interesting but I'll be waiting for some real users review to see if it really works well
Pretty dope!
Clever, but ugly and probably overpriced. For $20, I'd take a second look.
Doesn't look like it adds any protection, but seems like a really nice idea.
Frankly, I would love to be able to stick it to the fridge for recipes when I am cooking.
I went ahead and per ordered it from http://flipsteady.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4&products_id=5 for 55 bucks. Its not the prettiest case out there but I prefer function over style most days out of the week and I do love all the options with the stand.
I will probably try to put a thin tpu case on the nexus and then the flip steady on top of it for a little more protection. Will review when I receive it.

Ever tried cooking?
I use my tablet when cooking brunch on Sundays, fixing a batch of cheese dip up, etc. Good for all kinds of uses.
Awesome case, too bad its $55 prob get in around $35 or lower ($29.99 would be sweet spot)

Anybody try this tablet bag?

Fits up to a 10 inch tablet, so it'll be spacious with even a tpu case on the N7. Get it and do a review .

I'm not sure I'd utilize something like that on the day to day here where I work, but I'm a huge bicycle enthusiast... I remember being in NYC wondering what it would be like to be a bike messenger, or even have a job where I'm running around continuously and using a bike as a means of transportation since cars in NYC is pretty LOLable. This bag would be absolutely perfect for that scenario. :good:
I've been following this thread as I would like something similar for my Nexus 7. I thought it was nice but perhaps too big being designed for a 10".
After looking around I decided to try this one i found on Amazon. It is the Rothco Brown Canvas Small Travel Portfolio Shoulder Bag for 15.49 (Prime)
I like that Rothco one.. I just bought a plaid harajuku lovers bag similar to the one the OP has (I'm a woman) to use as a purse/Nexus 7 bag, but it's made for ipads so it will be big, like you said. I like that the Rothco one is small, wish there were different colors though. I like all the pockets and organization of it

Besides brown, they did have Olive or Black. They were 9.49 plus shipping.

This phone versus the s4

Anyone else slightly regret not going with the s4? Not that I don't love this phone, it's just that there are some things that annoy me. Such as the back and home buttons not responding sometimes. Then there is the horrible vibration that has me turning off haptic feedback. Which sucks because I loved having it on with the s3.
Honestly the haptic feedback thing is what is killing me. This has been an issue since the OG EVO.

I've commented on this in a couple of other threads, but picking the One over the S4 was a no-brainer. The S4 is nice, it's definitely fast, but grip ergonomics are where it matters for my personal tastes. The One is far better designed I feel than the S4. Somewhere along the line Samsung forgot that cellular phones are used by human beings who typically have hands smaller than an NBA center. Also, thickness isn't even a competition here - the S4 is like a brick compared to the One.
The One, especially the black One, took the best design concepts from the iPhone 5 and improved upon them significantly. The phone feels right. I'm sure the S4 is great, but this phone is better for me.

I'm saying that unless my local Sprint store had the S4 in some kind of protector case that I didn't notice, which was possible because I put it down almost the moment I picked it up, I held a phone that was marked as the Galaxy S4 that was considerably thicker and heavier than the HTC One, and it didn't fit into my hand at all. I could easily be wrong - the difference was so clear holding the One that I was quickly turned off by the S4. Being $100 cheaper also helps. My apologies if I have incorrectly spoken on the dimensions of the S4. I'm just recalling what I personally experienced.

No apologies needed, but the S4 is definitely thinner and lighter than the HTC One, it is confirmed. Not only that but they are pretty much the same length or maybe the HTC One is a little taller. The S4 is wider though.

Looking for a Solid Keyboard case similar to the Transformer

I use my GNex10 for business a lot. I'm in Inusrance and it's such a convenient form factor to carry around. Even compared to my Lenovo x220. The instant "powerup" of android and the long battery life are so nice. I use it to carry reference material (pdfs), do quick google searches, and even do online applications/sales. Saving me from tons of paperwork every night.
I have a "M edge" bluetooth keyboard case that's not bad, but it's flimsy and difficult to use if not on a flat surface. I was dreaming, like many, of google releasing the official keyboard dock, but as we know that never happened. Are there any good keyboard covers/cases out there? I want something sturdy that will turn my Nexus into a transformer minus the IO problems...

I would be interested in this too. I haven't seen anything like it but it would be nice if there was it would be really nice for me because I use mines for school. I had a poetic one but it just didn't feel good because of the bulkiness even though it was a good case

That case looks nice but is it reliable? The screen on the nexus 10 is all wrong unless it was an unlocked one with a custom ROM. It had the touchwiz theme and the tablet Ui, but that's what I was looking for so if I find one on amazon like it I'll buy it and tell u how it is depending on the price

OK, so it turned up annd I'm typing this reply on it now! Contruction seems pretty good, it is made from a mixture of aluminium and plastic and feels robust.
Typing on it isn't ideal... the keys are somewhat smaller than a full size keyboard. It's not too bad though. I reckon once i've got a little more used to it I should be able to type pretty quickly on it. It's already MUCH quicker than using the onscreen keyboard!
There doesn't seem to be any lag when typing. The gap the tablet slots into is well made. The tablet feels securely docked, I think the may be a magnet holding it in place as I can actually pick the tablet up when docked and it brings the keyboard with it!
I like the way it clips on to the front of the N10, doubling as a protective cover when travelling. It also makes a great stand for your tablet.
Overall, colour me impressed! Like some of you guys I was considering the latest Transformer but I think this keyboard is enough to put me off. For 20 pounds I'd definitely reccomend it.
Downsides: It's a US keyboard, so no pound key. It's not super light: It probably weighs a couple of hundred grams alone. I doesn't have a touchpad mouse, though to be fair given its size I don't think it would be possible to fit one it.

My watch has been shipped but I haven't received it yet. The stock band is too small for my wrist so I'll either have to replace it or do the "baseball cap mod" to the stock one.
I replaced mine immediately with a $8 band from Walmart. It's the black nylon with a Velcro closure, no stupid lettering.I think the part that the watch attaches to is made of lycra. Not sure, but it is stretchy enough to allow for the charger to be installed between the watch and the band. Came with new pins. Buy the size that says 16-20mm. It is so much better looking and way more comfortable than the stock band.
Here is my replacement band. I think the original is nice, but this is something different. It's just a bit more loose and comfortable.
Amazon "Steel and rubber bracelet for the luminox 3100 series dive watches " for 39.95 plus tax.
It has a solid, but not heavy feel. For me it's OK.
However, to present another view, my wife does NOTlike it; since there is no steel/silver in the watch body. She thinks that the band doesn't quite work.

Does the heart rate sensor really work with that gap between it and your skin? There are posts about people having trouble getting it to work with full contact.
A couple of metal bands I ordered from eBay:
I prefer mesh style bands lately. This one I liked because the links are more pronounced and chunky so it goes more with the size of the watch. It's like black chainmail and more rugged looking without going overboard in size.
I am currently using this one more because I like the "lighter" feel of it. Very similar to the bands on Skagen watches I've owned.
***You should note that the Spigen sticker protector is peeling off at the corners nearest the bezel after only a few days of application!!! I've done quite a few of these installs on other devices, so I know it was installed properly, just seems that those corners are hard for it to stick to. I will write them and see if I can get another set, and if those also do the same thing, I won't recommend this product. Sort of puts me at a disadvantage because I am nervous of the rubbery coating wearing off eventually.

Yes, it came with pins and so far I like the fitment and quality. Mesh bands are designed to be very light, so expect that it's not going to "feel" heavy especially if you relate weight to quality. It is heavier feeling than the finer mesh one, though. I expect that eventually the black anodizing will wear/rub off like all of these dark/black metal items I've purchased before. Time will only tell how quickly this happens.
