I am having these strange GsmCellBroadcastHandler Wake lock Drain.
I have greenified almost all apps. I am experiencing a drop of about6-9% overnight which is quite high .

Oops my bad.. That's the case on aosp Rom's (just checked a stock ROMs zip lol)
Ehrm.. Did u do clean install? Tried wiping cache and dalvik? What network for data u are using? (2g, 3g, LTE?) If on LTE but ur bundle doesn't provide it, switch to 2g/3g.
BTW, removing some apps like fastdormancy, google backup transport, and Google analytics proxy may help some too..
And off course, remove Google apps that can be downloaded from playstore (maps, YouTube, gmail) and install them from playstore (user app have less permission then system app)
Good luck bro

It is currently 9:13 am, and I took my phone off the charger at 6:45 am. And I am at 81%, and I am fed up. I have stamina mode on, and low battery mode. And, I HAVE NOT BEEN USING MY PHONE. I just don't get it, why it drains in my pocket. Says screen is at 44% taking of battery. I have used WLD and nothing is wrong. I can hope you guys can help me out, or at least 4.3 and 4.4 will help!

Simple Bro! Go To Eco Mode Controller In Apps And Clear Data And Reboot! Done!
Happens Due To Error Calibration Of Stamina Mode Due To OverCharge
The only thing clearing Eco Mode controller helps with is resetting stamina mode estimate, it doesn't fix battery life.
I had(have) same problem as you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2511392
Google Play Service is the cause of it.
If you download wakelock detector or BBS you will see GTALK_CONN as a waker. The cause is unknown and solution aswel.
Ive disabled everything from Google besides play store.
Biggest problem is Google Services, especially with the nlpwakelock, nlpcollector, and gtalk_conn wakelocks that's draining the battery on standby when connected to WiFi.

Disabling those improved your battery life ?
And one more question I would like to ask, I've heard that disabling Bravia Engine 2 improves battery time a lot, is it true ? frankly Its very hard to tell the difference when it's on and off, do you guys see a noticeable difference ?
And what other stuff can I do to save battery ? Thanks!

Yes disabling the google stuff helps to save battery because those apps keep running in the backround.
And bravia engine 2 enabled wont drain battery...and yes we can see a noticeable difference..the colours are more bright and vibrant in pictures and videos when be2 enabled

Hi there,
My OP is working fine since the update to 4.02 except for 1 thing. The apps I use for recording my running workouts are closing after a while. I have tried different apps (runkeeper, polar beat, Strava) but they are all having the same problem. After a while (not always the same time) they close. All my battery save options are disabled. I tried to lock it in the recents screen.
On 3.x.x roms there was no problem and yes I did a factory reset after the update, my phone is stock no root etc....
I'm thinking about going back to 3.x.x rom if there is no solution for this

Ok.. Thnx.... Haven't tried that... Try it by next workout...but what does it exactly do? Do I've to enable the function? Now I switched it on put the apps in the upper section "allow apps to start automaticly" (translate that because it's in dutch on my phone) and then disabled the function. Is that ok or do I have to leave it on?
Under settings, battery, menu, high power usage apps. Do you have this set to on?

It looks like this is the solution!!! A few people tried it today ( on other forums ) and it seems to be working. I'll try it today, I'll keep you informed. But I only tell you if it worked and not my stats hahaha.
01-02 : I did a run today and it worked!!!
So this morning I noticed this app I've never seen before, Uwb Application hogged 14%. I've never seen it before. What does it do and how do I stop it? I recently installed microg and YouTube vanced? Does this have anything to do with these apps? Looked on Google and can't find anything on it. Help please!!
Can anyone help with this? Thanks!

I think it'll be safe, if it's current usage is only for locating stuff/file transfer then it will turn on when needed. It shouldn't be holding your phone awake for 12 hours...

Sounds good thanks man. I actually removed allow background services. I initially blocked it, but then allowed it so it's a default. Today there is no battery drain at all. I wonder if it'll come back after a reset. If it does, I'll just disable the app.
there is a reddit post for this too,
so this came AFTER i installed the galaxy labs app and the culprit seems to be memory manage app (i dont know the name) UWB was draining almost half of my battery every day and i thought it belonged to my newly shipped galaxy buds pro but NOPE it was a app bug so i unistalled every galaxy lab/agent and module , then went to setting>apps>show system apps> force stop both UWB apps and also did force stop google play services too for some reason ( i hate it) then it got all FIXED !
also got the best battery life after that for 8hrs of SOT for 64%of usage in 16hrs of battery life...which was CRAZY ... but now im back to 4hrs of SOT in 50% of usage which is normal...
i dont charge my battery to 100% so i charge from 20% to 85% that's why i can't share my full battery usage
do those and you'll see the difference in an instant

After I uninstalled Memory Guardian and Good Labs, it was no longer running in the background constantly after I did a reboot. Now my battery use is back to normal.
I uninstalled Galaxy labs and all in it ( memory guardian..), force stopped UwbApplication, allowe background activity uncheck. But it still drains battery in background. Does anybody find solution?

yes i unistall all related to Uwb app too , back to my post i used an app i linked to do that .
I tried uninstalling Labs, Memory Guardian and all associated apps...didn't work. UWB application and UWB test still ran constantly sucking up battery. Tried force stopping play services and those apps but nada. Then I tried a package disabler for those and it STILL RAN in the background! The ADB solution above worked and rather painlessly. It's either that or a factory reset so...try ADB it saved my device
It seems this app is specific to some region I believe. I don't have it in the XSG -AUB9 version.

I've never seen this running on the background on my phone.....verizon SM-G998U..... wonder if its active but not visible ?
Is it related to the Samsung TAG? Sounds like it's what I was asked to turn on when I tried to link the Samsung TAG. It wanted to always scan for those items to help track them.

You also might change the battery settings for those apps. In settings - battery you can change the intelligent app management to more battery use in background allowed. This did the trick for me...

Eventually enabling "mobile data use always enabled" in developer settings might help. Or disable the stupid network assistant / intelligent wifi ect.
You have to disable com.vivo.pem through adb shell command. That process kills apps to save battery. After that all notifications will come without problems
