softbrick

i soft bricked my phone but i only have less than 50% battery...will it still charge or am i a goner?:/

it will be fine...jst try to fix it bro using pc companion..click repair

as ive experienced i need to use update service to remove the softbrick but it says there that the battery needs to be at least 50%,,:/

its fine, i tried it mine was 40% below wen i got soft brick but i still manage to repair it..i have no choice but to try it..hehe

You were lucky.. Don't recommend really stupid ideas like that on here..
Flashing your phone on a dead battery can corrupt the flash if it dies during the process.
You'd have to take the phone to Sony to repair it.

so not true..flashed kernel on a dead battery and it work..flashing require small amounts of power because it is in flash mode if he wants to use xrecovery/CWM then its require 10 +/- % of battery but if he wanna use flash mode with PC C he can flash on a 5+/-% of battery without any problems :highfive:

Galaxy mini wont boot!!!help!!!

My galaxy mini boots only when charger is connected!!!
After booting it works when i remove the charger and no ders no problem with the power key as i can lock n unlock the phone.
Please help!!!!

yes.
flashed the official 2.3.6 firmware and also tried flashing a new rom.
same problem.

Then it must be hardware problem. It between battery and phone life.

Dont know about the problem but solved it. Found a solution on nexus 7 forums. I jus had to drain the battery fully and charge it fully. Worked. Thank u anyways for ur help

Android 4.4 system update ...Waiting to download (Stuck)

People I am stock and non-rooted ... just updated to Kitkat 4.4 .. now there is a minor update ...and it wont download no matter what .. i tried clearing up the google services framework .. google play services .. and rebooted the device numerous times .. but still no progress .. and there is absolutely no problem with my wifi connection .. confirmed .. pls help how to solve this .. really pissed of by this screen .. :crying:

How did you get to 4.4 in the first place?
Why is the right door always locked?

Hey bro me too i was having same trouble but was update but you don't gonna see any load bar progress just leave it on for a while and you will see!!!!!!

try changing the system date to 11/25 and see if you get a retry button to click
if you do, change date back while downloading

For now i once more updated through adb sideload ... and bypassed this prob ... but a lot more people are experiencing the same problem .. google really needs to look into this matter

Sory and i forget mentioned not sure if this helps i install the nexus updater from playstore

Just charge your battery LOL

it will let you install updates only if battery is charged as well :good:

are you rooted?
but this is related to flashing KT16O.
but maybe if you try to unroot it will helps

My friend in Pakistan had a issue like this with his n4. Pakistan or isp is blocking the update URL. Use hotspot shield then try. It worked for him

According to Google the Android 4.4 for the Nexus 7 is called KRT16S

Just got a new N7 and am stock. I am unable to to DL 4.4.2. It just says "waiting to download 263.3MB"

[Q] keep awake eating battery after 4.3 upgrade

i am from india. yesterday i updated my xperia zr to 4.3. since then battery life has reduce drastically. i charge my phone to 100 % while at night and in morning without any use it comes to 90%
battery status shows android system using most of the juice.. and keep awake using juice for hours.
any one having similar issues or any know fix for this ?

Use wake lock detector to find the process and also better battery stats

i found out that certain process used by fast dormancy is the cause for this
and this thread has fix for it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2382680
but your phone should be rooted for this.. and i am not sure how to root xperia zr after updating it to stock 4.3
any help is appreciated

have you unlock the bootloader? if yes then try this :http://www.ranker.com/list/all-car-movies-or-list-of-car-movies/all-genre-movies-lists
For me it works very well .. And its` not that hard.. But if your bootloader can`t be unlocked i don`t think is there any way to root 4.3 .. Only downgrade to 4.2 then root with Vroot.

To be honest I just have a stock phone, seems it is.not bootloader unlocked, as I haven't done anything on it yet

Just got my xperia zr yesterday.
Updated it to 4.3 immediately.
And now one day after, I have to say the battery is very good.
13 hr 30 mins on battery, 1 hour and 50 mins screen in time and I m at 61%. And this is mostly on mobile data.

but first of all you need to unlock the bootloader ... First, you should confirm that it is possible to unlock the boot loader of your device by checking the service menu. In your device, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu....tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, you can start unlocking your bootloader on this link: http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions .
if your bootloader can`t be unlocked i advise you to wait until some dev find a way to root 4.3 with locked booloader.
Now if you want to downgrade to 4.2 or 4.1 you need to download Flashtool then frome here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2384512 download the FTF file for 4.3. 4.2 or 4.1 wherever you want and then flash via flashtool.. There are the instructions too how to use flashtool .. Sorry for my english. Hope i helped you

Rooting method
I think THIS is a way to root 4.3, although a bit of a long way without unlocking the bootloader

[q] [help] my x8 hard bricked [help]

I rooted my x8 2 months ago and unlocked bootloader(10w37) successfully for flashing custom rom nAa-ics and i flashed MINICM9 ROM.I used that rom for 1 month nd again i tried to flash the nAa-JB kernal without unocking bootloader.Now my phone is not booting up but vibrates at start and my pc cant identify my phone .When i tried to charge my phone it shows red LED light....................
PLEASE HELP ME

You don't have to re-unlock bootloader to flash another kernel. it might be a battery drain(it may sounds silly, but that is what I think).
flash stock X8 2.1 ftf with flashtool. lets see how it goes.
