Headphones not working properly? - G 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all. I just recently got a pair of Xiaomi Piston headphones and they don't seem to work with NY moto g. Its strange because the headphones work perfectly with my nexus 7, and I have other pairs of headphones that work fine with my moto g. My guess is that it has something to do with the fact that the pistons have an in-line mic. Had anyone else experienced the same issues? Any possible fixes?

This should be in Accessories section.
Read this thread it's about pistons

I bought the pistons too. What you need is an adapter: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CTIA-to-OMT.../261336263043?ssPageName=ADME:L:eek:C:US:3160

I wonder what was the actual first post in XDA? I'd be surprised if it was more dated than 2003

Haven't made it quite that far yet mate. However, if/when I happen upon something older during my perusing of other sections, I'll shoot you a link.
One ridiculous argument cleaned up.
Please post respectfully, or don't post. :good:

Yes we would need accelerated graphics,
ALSO (not directed at you)
We would also need for it to support VIDEO OUT, and had the op searched he would have realised that the kaiser/tilt does NOT
I believe the iMate Ultimate 9502 does / will... I couldn't wait until it came out though...
You need this:
http://www.spectec.com.tw/sdv841.htm
and here's a review:
http://www.pocketnow.com/index.php?a=portal_print&t=reviews&id=813
Or you could buy a Celio Redfly which gives the Tilt VGA out support, but it costs $500 which is a bit rediculous.

So, thanks for the help, but this is posted in the Nexus One Accessories section right? I was asking about a Nexus One Accessory. Last I checked there were quite a few accessory related topics here.
Ebay? Forums?
I got one today on a uk based forum for quite cheap (desktop dock)

Before being snarky, actually check to see if you are in the correct section. You posted it to Themes and Apps.
Maybe a mod will move it for you.
Yeah, I am kind of upset they yanked all the accessories too.

is it confirmed to have audio out thru that port for you?
It's a headphone jack, so yes. I've used it several times for audio books and video. Not to mention that pandora comes stock with the Nook Color.

Just curious, but what else do you think it would it be there for?
You DO realize that even the BN web site confirms that the NC has audio out, right...? Are you just too lazy to do research on your own, or do you not believe what the websites of large bookstores say about their own products?

A 3.5mm headphone jack and and a 3.5mm audio-out jack are the same thing.
I'm sure even the guy you called a noob knows that.

nice of you to point this, and just to be clear, i didnt call him stupid, i called him noob because if he visits these forums here very often, he would have noticed that people come here to ask questions they need answers for, not to get smart *** answers. again, if a question bothers someone, your problem, look the other way and walk away. thats why i called him noob, but im sure that he would learn how to comment with time.
<sigh>
I regret even replying to you.

If you refer to his/her answer as "smartass answer" and call him a "noob", then he/she has the right to rate your question as "stupid" -even though he/she hasn't. You were asking whether a 3.5mm headphone jack supplied audio out. This is similar to asking "does the HDMI port include video". Then, when people took the time to reply and asked what was the reasoning behind your question, you became feisty... You also claimed that you did research it and didn't find it. What did you use to research this information? PBS kids web page?
Please have some perspective before attacking others.
