Hi all!
Is there any possibility to auto upload any photos i make and have made to my galaxy S5? I tried with the Samsung Smarth Photo app, but I can only seem to share new (single) photos.
Wi-fi direct is also not working correctly. I can connect the devices to each other (and then agree), but whenever I take a picture i get the message that I need to select a device. And when I want to select a device I get a message that there are no devices to connect to. Which is weird because I just connected the devices to each other (on the same network).
Also is there an option to show the maps from my camera in the gallery of my S5? Just like you can show dropbox, picasa and facebooks photos on the S5.
Thanks

Hello There,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S and Samsung Tab smartphones. When using Facebook App (latest version) on both phones through Wifi, I cant get precise Notifications and also I cannot upload photos to facebook. However, when using 3G, everything works fine. I guess the issue with facebook is that first it uploads some data onto the facebook servers and then gets the relevant notifications. To pin point to problem, I checked with the wifi and it turned out that my wifi (BSNL Broadband in India) broadband has Data Upload Compression (which I can verify through www.speedtest.net). Is there anyway to tweak seetings in android so as to enable the facebook notifications and photo upload in such date upload compression enabled connections. To add, when using my PC through the same broadband, the images gets uploaded to facebook without any problem. So I guess there might be some kind of a minimum bit settings for upload data somewhere, maybe higher in Android and lower in PC connections.
A help would be appreciated.
Regards,
Akshay
Same deal here with HTC Sensation XE. Can upload pics fine via 3G, no go with Wi-Fi.
In the account settings there are things like "Sync Picasa Web albums" and "Sync Instant Upload". I assume those have something to do with automagically uploading pictures as soon as I take them.
Is it possible to write an app that would add yet another automatic upload feature? Some kind of special intent that is recognized. What jargon would I search for in android docs to learn how to do this?
I'd like to see if I could upload pictures automatically to a local web server on my LAN, no "clouds" involved.
This is just curiosity, I'd like to learn how this stuff works.
Auto upload uploads photo and video as soon as you capture it. Google instant upload is in Google+ app, where you can activate/deactivate it.
Auto upload is also on Dropbox app and also in AllShare app, so you more programs for auto uploading.
I tested them and because I have slow internet connection and I wanted other features I created own upload feature in my program that uploads files onto PC (via wifi or usb cable).
When my wife opens the gallery and opens a picture then clicks SHARE the option of gmail doesnt show up... (yes even if you scroll all the way down)
We can choose it if we select multiple images in the screen before, or if we start and email then attach and image.
Any idea's how to put that option back?
is it possible to sideload the latest gmail app onto stock non rooted Telstra model 4G S3 ?

Goto Apps, uninstall all gmail updates, reboot (not sure if necesarry), and then update gmail via google play. Voila, gmail is back in the gallery sharing options.
Worked for me.
I have an sm-9208 duos and I tried to find why my gallery application doesnt synchronise and show pictures from facebook drive dropbox etc..
What I found is that from my phone is missing the Samsung cloud service (present on my Note 4)..
Even the cloud setting is missing under the personal settings..
Does anyone know how I can fix that?
thanks
Hi All,
New to the Note 5, but I'm enjoying it a lot. One thing I can't figure out is how to show my dropbox and google drive/photos pictures in the Gallery app. On my moto x and nexus 6, the gallery app shows pictures from all cloud services.
I have auto upload and sync enabled in both dropbox and google photos, but my Gallery app only shows pictures that are stored locally, like those I took on the phone's camera.
Is there a way to get my photos from those cloud services to show in the Gallery app?
Same here.. On note 4, everything was in one gallery..
I haven't tested because i do not want my drop box photos showing.
1. Make sure you have the drop box account added from the market. (I came from a Note 3 and drop box was automatically installed but it is not with 5).
2. Go to settings > accounts. Click the plus to add an account. It will show you all your aps. Drop box will not be highlighted, select it.
3. When you select and re-sign in, you will be asked about photo uploads.
4. Make sure you have sync turned on. This is the step I did not do.

This does not make the Gallery show Dropbox pictures. If you read my post, you'll see I already have camera upload and sync on.
Thanks anyway.
