As the name suggests:
Notebook Review was taken off line for the weekend as they upgrade the forum software.
So all NBR OT regulars are congregating here (for the time being) like a bunch of bad hippes at South Park.

This forum is only as good as the members who come here. No matter how many Moderators we have there is no way we can be in every thread all the time. Since becoming a Mod I have received a few PMs bringing members/posts etc to my attention and I always look into them.
I have not once received a request to make a thread about another Rom sticky. When we put these AKU 3.3 Roms out we make the threads sticky because we know that they are what you are looking for and the view & reply counts verify that.
While I do try to peruse the top threads in the Wizard Forum, I have a demanding day job and am a single parent with 2 teenage daughters. I have also added a Hermes (Cing 8525) to my HTC Harem and am trying to spend some time there learning about cooking those Roms. (BTW, my oldest daughter just loves the Wizard!).
As Moderators we are akin to the "Posting Police" and just like to Regular Police we patrol our beats.
Like the Regular Police, we can't be everywhere all the time or read the minds of those we have promised to serve. We count on the citizens to call us when we are needed somewhere that we are not.
Finally, just like the Regular Police we rarely hear "Thank you for your service" but often are told "You weren't there when I needed you".
Now I will ask you the citizens of XDA-Developers.com, when was the last time you called the Posting Police when you saw something that they needed to address? Did you just quietly say to yourself, "Geez, why aren't they here already?"
If you do report a thread/post/user, don't worry we never say "So-and-so was offended by your post".
Thank You
And your daughter has good taste. Now if only pappa would spend the extra flooz and get her the 8525 as well. Kidding...

Hi All
I very rarely post much on these forums but am hoping for anyone reading this if you can help a little in the following:
As some may know the Hillsborough Anniversary is again fast approaching, on April 15th 1989 96 Liverpool Fans tragically lost their lives that day and after a long & frustrating 22 years the families of those lost are still fighting for the justice that they and the 96 lost deserve, for more information regarding this please follow this link: Welcome to The Hillsborough Justice Campaign
Shortly following the disaster The Sun, one of the biggest selling tabloid newspapers in the UK printed many lies about that tragic day, putting the blame squarely on Liverpool fans and their supposed atrocious behavior, of course all those were sick, vile lies and since that day, Liverpool fans & Liverpudlians including the Everton fanbase have seeked to Boycott that vile newspaper whom still have yet to make any form of sincere apology.
If I can ask for one simple favour; Stephen Smith is a very talented music artist who recently released his album 'Next Train to Nowhere' on the album contains the song 'Liar, Liar' of which he has just released Monday gone (April 4th) in attempt to get it into the charts for the week leading upto the Hillsborough Disaster & there's also been a campaign by fellow Liverpool fans to help get the song into the charts and to raise awareness of not only the lies told by The Sun but to maybe even bring that deserved justice to those family members that one step closer to reality.
We ask that for just a paltry sum of 0.79p to download the song of which as mentioned above can really help bring awareness of the tragedy and what befalled it to a much wider audience and push that fight for justice one step closer to completion.
Not only will you be massively helping families who are still grieving to this day as they still have yet to receive the closure their loved ones deserved but the song in itself is worth purchasing alone written & performed by an exepetionally talented musician.
All proceeds from Liar Liar will be donated to the Hillsborough Family Support Group, Hope for Hillsborough and the Hillsborough Justice Campaign.

YNWA
PS: It is sadly currently languishing at 266 in the top300, we need one almighty push up the charts, if you do have the time please Tweet & Facebook this to anyone you know, thanks again for taking the time to read this.
bought.

RIP.
On that sad day, my grandfather, auntie, two uncles and my uncles friend went to watch their team play a game. Only four returned home again.
The events of that day are widely reported and I've never heard them speak of their ordeal.
One of my earliest memories of my uncle was him on crutches for so long afterwards.
You'll never walk alone.

Kevin MacKenzie was the editor at the Heliograph who would invent stories
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kelvin_MacKenzie#Invented_stories
"When I published those stories, they were not lies. They were great stories that later turned out to be untrue — and that is different. What am I supposed to feel ashamed about?"
Everyone remember him?
For those of you who don't know his name, Michael Fish became one of the most famous weathermen of all time in 1987, when a great storm battered the British Isles and killed 18 people, following Fish's prediction that the weather would be fine and clement all night. This storm, that was so freak and unpredictable, has gone down in history as one of the worst in recorded history. Fish, 68, often speaks out to support action to prevent climate change, as he understands that our current behaviour will cause devastating effects on our climate, leading to more frequent and more powerful storms, like the one which made him famous.
In order to raise awareness for climate change, he recently teamed up with Rapanui Clothing, a British eco-wear brand (recently noted by Sir Richard Branson for their eco-efforts!) and did a BASE jump from a block of flats in London. Scary? Yes. Want to see the video?

There's a YouTube thread you could have posted this in. It's in the stickies.
Sent from your mom.
Yes, as mentioned above there's a dedicated YouTube thread stickied in this very forum. That would be the correct place to post this.
Thread closed.
I basically reverse-engineered Priceline's express deals algorithm and find the exact match hotel for your dates. So far with all the tests I have been doing, it's fairely acurate. Hope this is helpful to someone here. I am been a long-time lurker for xda-dev and learned something. I put up with node.js and mongodb a site (expressdealshotel.com) for better UI and easy usage of my algorith and you can try it yourself.
Looking forward to learning from you guys. Love the forum, well done.
Started selling & building websites in 2004 (till 2015). When I started all screens were 800 x 600, 1st question from every business owner "Why do I need a website" and I could have a new local website listed on Google top 5 search in 48 hours, just with proper keywords. Times have changed.
Thanks for accepting me into your community.
