Nova Launcher and the phone icon - Nexus 6 Themes and Apps

Anyone else find that the phone icon will not theme when applying an icon pack? No matter which icon pack I pick, the stock phone icon remains.

Two different icon packs from well known icon makers.
Any solutions?

it's probably because you changed the icon by hand, there are 2 options to change it back:
1. drag the icon to the top and drop it on edit and aply new icon to it there in the menu
OR
2. nova settings > look and feel > icon theme >> 3 dots menu > reset custom icons

Thanks. Not sure how or when I did that, but apparently I did. I didn't even know you could change the icons in the app drawer individually. 2 did the trick.

[Tutorial] How to create a minimal dock

With Photoshop or like program, creating your custom dock like folders or anything you want can be achieved without using third party apps. Remember that it will be 480pxl wide.

Start your Photo Editing program. I use Photoshop CS4 Extended. Using the rounded rectangle tool (for folder dock) create and duplicate layers. With layers > arrange > send to back. Save it and name it anything you want. Trial and error for the icon alignments.
Or just a flat image/design, just create texts for your apps, even icon image. You can also set the transparency.
Now create a transparent icon by clicking "New" set it to let's say 90X90, with "transparent" in background contents.
With some launchers that can modify the dock, just select/browse the one you created. Then, by replacing the icon, select/browse the "transparent icon" you made.
With ADW Launcher (Stock CM), you must "Hide AB Bg" and uncheck "Wallpaper Scrolling". The dock will be pasted with the wallpaper of your choice (960X800, bottom-centered).
I made a zip and a PSD included to get you started. It has the folder dock (ready to use), the template, the PSD, invisible icon.
wow cool ! i like it minimal!
This is what i'm looking for

Things To Know Before Install
Not all launchers support transparent status bar i tested on go launcher and it worked after enabling transparency in go launcher options
for the toggle layout to work you must edit line in your build.prop file ro.gn.statusbar.style and put its value =2
i.e. ro.gn.statusbar.style=2
since it is a white theme with transparent background it might not look good with several wallpapers
Whats New ??
new icons on status bar
layout icons tweaked to match statusbar icons
notfication background changed to new style
notfication text color changed to white to match theme
CRT off animation (little buggy but works in case you do not want crt download the without crt animation zip file)
battery icons
signal icons

[ICONS][Apex][Nova][ADW][Holo][Yahoo][...]Beton Icon Pack (Black & White + Vintage)
Hello everyone. I am Deniz and I want to share "Beton" with you.
Beton is an icon pack to use for your Android phones by installing a separate launcher.
This icon pack is for personal use only.

How to make this APK work:
1. Download the file (Normal download contains the SAME files as the purchasable version. This is only if you'd like to spend me some cents and support my work)
2. After moving the file to your smartphone, you have to enable installing applications from "unknown sources".
3. Install the apk. Note: You can not open the pack after installing it. Go on with step 4.
4. Go to the settings of your launcher and choose Beton Icon Pack as your primary icon pack.
5. For changing icons on your homescreen or drawer: click and hold any app to edit the icon.
Compatible Launchers:
ADW.Launcher
Apex Launcher
Holo Launcher
Nova Launcher
S Launcher
Yahoo Aviate

Android 4.0+

Question Adaptive Icon Shape

Is there a way to change the adaptive icon shape in One UI 3.1?
Maybe some ADB commands or something like that?
I don't like that rounded square icons and would prefer round icons instead.
Yes you can use a custom launcher with an icon pack but that only changes the icons in the launcher obviously not for multitasking, ....
Its a small an minor thing but i find it kind a annoying because its a android feature and you could change it the developer options for the Galaxy S20 but not even more ind One Ui 3.1
Yes you can use some icon packs to transform the system app icons to for example round icons. I test the "WinterSkyUx" Icon pack from galaxy themes. It changes camera, telephone, messages apps to round icons but for any not supported icons (Facebook, Instagram, Spotify, ...) it just draws a white circle around the "rounded square" icon witch looks even more ugly:

}
I did find ADB commands to do this. Just do
Code:
cmd enable/disable overlay {overlay name}
For the full list of overlays check here. https://pastebin.com/cNUZnfvh
Hi dolfies, can you explain how to do that? I'm trying the adb command without any result.
Can you please give a tutorial for dummies?

(fixed) Notification drawer icons invisible

The icons in my notification drawer are invisible, they are there, I can also click on them, but they are not displayed. When I pull down the drawer, the icons appear, which is very strange. I haven't found any information that anyone has had a problem like this before.

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Which I have already tried without success:
- Restarting and turning off the device
- Font & display size change
- Drawer icon and style change
- Reset drawer area
I have also tried to delete the data and caches of things I know about.
All the tests in Phone Manager of course say the device has no issue or error, so none of this helps me.
Quite interesting, when I switch to a guest account the notification drawer works without any issues, just not on the normal user account.
Does anyone know which system app exactly is responsible for the notification drawer? If I know that, I would see if I can reset something there.
Otherwise, I have no idea what else I can do.
Edit 16-12-2021 issue fixed:
The issue was caused by an update of SystemUI Tuner, it has something to do with QS header count and Android 11. After resetting the setting in SystemUI Tuner, the icons are visible again.
