Where is the latest CMW 6.0.46 ? - Nook HD, HD+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm ready to upgrade to CM12 on my HD+ and I believe I need to locate the latest version of the emmc cmw 6.0.4.6 (I see it is talked about, just cannot find it). I see Leapinlar has 6.0.3.6, should I use that one? Or do I wait for Hashcode to release some new "updates" on installation?
I am currently running 4.4.4 (PACROM), do I need to do a complete wipe/format ect... (very clean state) or just wipe and install it?
Thanks for any feedback.

Hope this might be helpful to you. Enjoy!! Happy flashing.

https://goo.im/devs/succulent/ovation/recovery/

verygreen's thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600572
Download 'ovation recovery image (CWM)'
cwm-recovery-ovation-6.zip (It's CWM 6.0.4.6)
In CWM menu...
Just use 'wipe data/factory reset'
It will wipe all old data except internal memory and SD card.

Technically not the latest but whatever. I don't care to build the latest just as much as anyone else apparently.

Thanks,
Now it appears that since I went the PACMAN ROM way, this CM12 version installation is different than what I am used to.
So I need some help here.
Is there a how to guide on doing this? I imaged succulent file, but when I tried to add the latest CM12 ROM I get a message that says I have to format the card?????
How do I install CM12 correctly?

You don't have to write the image to external sd card. Please boot into recovery and flash the zip itself. Then press "n" button and volume down and boot into latest recovery and again flash cm12 rom and gapps. It should work.

[Q] Galaxy note N7000 root fail...HELP!!!

Im a total novice when it comes to rooting. i did manage to root my N7000, but after a few hours my phone became quite muggy...i rebooted it and on reboot it said "upgrading".
Since then it has been unusable, i did the volume up/home/power button and tried a wipe data....phone still wont respond well. keyboard doesn't work, cant get a signal, and its generally so groggy, its pretty much unusable. i managed a factory reset with phone switched on, still no better.
any help would be massively appriciated

Hey
Hey well ..
You need to publish some information like how you rooted your phone and which firmware you installed after rooting. ??
Please use CM .. and any of its mod its smooth and safe with less bugs in it .. first publish all these information and i may be able to tell you how exactly you can proceed.

Ok ..
First of all if you have properly rooted your android device with (clockwordmod recovery) or any other recoveries etc you need to have a Rom to flash it through this recovery
It is recommend that you must have safe kernel before flashing any ROM. Please download any of CM10.1 ROM from the link below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1789397
Now Get the ROM for your appropriate device from the link below. Select the device and download the ROM. Use any Stable or Nightly version.
http://www.cyanogenmod.org/
Next thing you need to download Google Apps package called GAPPS. Its latest version corresponding to CM10.1 android version 4.2.2 is on the top of the screen. (20130301) using link below
http://goo.im/gapps
Put all the files to micro SD Card. Since your operating system is not working so you may have to take out SD card and put these downloaded zip files to SD card using jacket or your laptop SD card slot.
Now Switch ON your android device to Recovery Mode by Holding Volume Up+ Power and Home Button together
Do following:-
Wipe data/Factory reset.
Wipe Cache.
Wipe Delvik Cache in Advanced Options ..
Fix permissions.
then go to your SD card and flash all these files in order
Flash the Kernel first and after flashing Reboot Your Recovery.
Now Flash
1. CM 10.1
2. GAPPS
Reboot .. n enjoy your new rooted phone
If you still face difficulty let me know ..

P.S
Although i haven't reached the 'recovery mode' part yet, i can tell you that the only options are:
reboot system now
apply update for external storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache
the delvik cache & fix permissions are not options
Adam
Here ur options
Two options with you
http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
Download clockword mod recovery from here.
Again I recommend using Chasmado Kernel and it will automatically install safe recovery files. TWRC or CMD Recovery

I have carbon ROM installed. However the power menu and ROM manager options to reboot to recovery do not work. They just take me to the nook install failed screen. I like to mess with ROMs and I would love to must be able to install ROMs on the fly. I can get into recovery if in install my origal boot SD I used to get cwm into the device. Anyone have any advice for that?

It is booting to recovery, stock recovery.
If you want CWM or TWRP recovery internally, you must install them. Go to verygreen's emmc CM10.1 thread and he has flashable zips to put one on your internal memory, replacing stock recovery.
Or, as you said, you could just boot to your CWM SD that you used to install Carbon.

Go to my HD/HD+ CWM thread linked in my signature and read item 6. Download plain stock 2.1.0 and flash it with the same CWM that you flashed CM10.1 with. Then do a factory reset with the same CWM. That should take you completely back to unregistered stock.

When you refer to CWM, do you mean the initial bootable CWM on the sd card or the CWM subsequently installed on the unit?
Can we load the stock firmware zip onto a blank sd card, reboot to the installed cwm recovery, wipe cache and do a factory reset, then use the 'install zip from sd card" option to flash the stock firmware?
After flashing the stock firmware zip, will it be completely stock (i.e. recovery, kernel, rom)? Thanks.

Either CWM is ok.
Yes to your second paragraph, but you do not need to wipe cache since the factory reset does that too.
And yes, if you flash that plain stock 2.1.0 and factory reset, it is completely stock. Your media files on internal memory remain though. If you want them gone too you must go to mounts and storage and format 'data and datamedia' before you reboot.

Reboot to recovery stuck in loop

Hi,
Just attempting to upgrade to CM11, and have hit a hurdle at the first step.
Having prompted via the power button to reboot to recovery, the device is now stuck alternating between the default nook load start screen and the cyanboot bootloader logo.
Any ideas please how to force a proper boot either back into the OS or recovery as intended?
Thanks!

At the moment, do you have CyanogenMod installed or the stock ROM? If CM, why not try creating a bootable CWM Recovery on a SD card. Using that SD card (turn Nook off, insert SD card and turn on), boot into CWM Recovery and install EMMC recovery + CM (and optionally Gapps). That should hopefully solve your issue.
You may not be able to boot into CWM Recovery instantly with the bootable CWM Recovery on SD, as newer Nook's often have problems; but keep trying.
All the best.
I'm running CM 10.1.3 at the moment,
Thanks, will try that as I think that's how I originally installed (was a while ago!).
Only issue I might have is that I don't seem to have a 4Gb card around, so may have to purchase one and then get back to you.
Will try with a 32Gb card for now.
Cheers for your help!

Of course, you can try with your 32GB SD card; it shouldn't be a major problem, it can still work too. Apologies if it's a silly question, but are you able to boot into CM10.1.3 at the moment? And if you power the Nook off completely, then turn it back on, does it still freeze at boot up?
Also, did you install a newer version of CWM Recovery for CM11, before flashing CM11? If so, that may make it harder for you to boot into a bootable CWM via SD card, as some users are reporting issues. If not, then once you have this issue solved, downloaded and install the latest CWM then try flashing CM11 again; and hopefully you shouldn't have any issues.
All the best.

Nope, can't boot into 10.1.3, literally all I did was select to reboot into recovery and it locked up in this booting loop without ever being able to load.
I had CWN Recovery 6 and CM11 on the internal memory ready to update, following upgrade instructions here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600572
Was I supposed to install the latest CWN Recovery version from the OS rather than from recovery mode?
I've now loaded up my old bootable SD used when first installing 10.1.3 and managed to get into the bootloader.
It says I am in Recovery 6.0.2.8...
How is best to proceed? Try and recover 10.1.3 first or continue trying to update to CM11?
Cheers.
I'm glad you managed to boot back into recovery using your SD card. From here, I'd install CM10.1.3 and install CM11 after; so at least we have the Nook working for certain.
In the bootable SD recovery, install CWM Recovery and CM10.1.3. Then boot into CM, and hopefully that should solve your issue. We can then move forward to CM11.
If you have a Nook HD, download "CWM Recovery" from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2319000 (5th paragraph)
Or if you have a Nook HD+: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2263553 (3rd paragraph)
After downloading the CWM Recovery, download CM10.1.3 for either Nook HD (Hummingbird) or Nook HD+ (ovation). Put them both on your internal storage or SD card; and using the recovery you're able to boot into using your SD card, install both the CWM Recovery and CM10.1.3. Eject your SD card, and reboot your Nook. Hopefully you should be able to boot into CyanogenMod; thus solving your issue(s).
Now, we'll concentrate on upgrading to CM11. The guide you're following to update to CM11 is correct, and should be good to go. So, download the latest "recovery image (CWM)" for your device from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600572 and also download CM11.
Place the "recovery image (CWM)" onto your internal storage/SD card;
Boot into your current recovery, and install the recovery image (similar to how you install CM);
Now reboot your device back into recovery;
Now install CM11 (and gapps if you desire).
That should be it hopefully, and you should be in CM11. Just make sure you install the newer CWM at step 1.
All the best, and I do apologise if I didn't explain everything clearly.

You need to flash the Gapps version for CM11.
You can wipe /cache partition from the recovery menu (make sure you don't ever wipe any partition other than /cache or /data).
