You can use your current recovery to flash verygreen's new recovery for HD+ (ovation) posted at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600572 then boot into the recovery to flash CM11 and new Gapps.

Did you download and flash a version of Gapps that corresponds to CM11 (e.g., from http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps or https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=15797)?
Also, did you wipe /cache?

You need to flash the Gapps version for CM11.
You can wipe /cache partition from the recovery menu (make sure you don't ever wipe any partition other than /cache or /data).

[Q] updating schizoid rom

Hi,
I'm currently running schizoid rom dated jan 12, 2013 on the touchpad. I'm seeing a feb 18,2013 version. How do I update to this, do i need to do a fresh install? Thanks in advance.
Wipe davlik/cache and flash over no need for a system wipe and all apps and settings should still be there .

Do I flash with install zip from sdcard in cwm recovery or thru pc with acmeinstaller?
DL to your TP then flash with CWM by selecting install zip and navigating to your download folder.
Its also worth DL the correct gapps just in case you need to flash it, although it shouldn't be necessary .
Also don't forget to make a backup BEFORE flashing .
Have fun

[Q] Endless Boot & Gapps issue

Received this phone a month ago, just got around to rooting it yesterday. Root with motochopper went fine. Unlocked the handset with motopocalypse, everything went fine. Installed latest CM10.2 nightly and everything ran fine, even restarted phone and it worked fine. I then realized I forgot to install Gapps, So i went to CWM and installed the Gapps through "install zip from sd card". Now phone will not progress past the bootloader unlocked warning screen. I can restart and put phone into recovery or fastboot no problem but I don't know where to go from here. I tried a factory reset and reinstallation of CM but to no success. I am a bit of a newb when it comes to external programs like RSD Lite and haven't used it. Is there something obvious I'm missing in my progress of trying to fix my phone?
clear cache and dalvik cache under advanced then restart.
if you still loop do the above steps plus data reinstall cm10.2.
if you still loop do all above steps but also format system under mounts be re-install.
if you loop after all that then try a different ROM.
PS what version of gapps did you use.

i can't post outside links yet but on the wiki.cyanogen site in the Gapps section I used the 10.2 20130813 1f51b5cc6370c1f45dc951109b6ce6ed release. I will attempt those steps once i can find a legitimate charger in my house. Phone doesn't accept power unless its on and i need just a bit of juice to boot it up

Here's the official name. Installed cm-10.2-2-130814-NIGHTLY-mb886.zip for the cm and gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip for the GApps, both latest versions I believe

none of the above steps worked unfortunately. Is there a set order of certain things to be mounted and unmounted in the mount section? Such as the system or sd card?

did you flash gapps before flashing the ROM because the ROM flash will overwrite the gapps.
PS I suggest using zgapps http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240652 because they are stripped down which tends to prevent a lot of issues and if you want a 4.3 ROM try skeevydudes PAC ROM it is more stable plus has more features.

Awesome. Pac-Rom already looks better on review. I get to the dl page tho and have a monster list of choices. Which one do I go for?

Thank you for all the help. PACROM is up and running swimmingly, all of the features are there and it is definitely better than CM by itself. Thanks again

Can't update to CyanogenMod 10.2

I'm running 10.1.3-galaxysmtd. When I try to update from the CyanogenMod updater it downloads 10.2, but when I try to apply it, the phone boots and gets to about only 20% on the progress bar before it restarts and then boots normaly into 10.1.3
Does anyone know what is the problem?

Do it manually without using the updater, meaning flash CM10.2 as you flashed CM 10 and follow guide in developer thread.
Check this out! Links to useful Guides and " Banned " Documentaries
I was hoping I wouldn't have to reinstall everything

- Upgrading from another CM10/CM10.1/CM10.2 prior to 20130816 Build?
Do a Nandroid Backup!
Install the ROM from internal sdcard using ClockworkMod Recovery
Optionally restore /data from Nandroid Backup (the update will wipe your /data)
Optionally install the Google Addon
- Upgrading from another CM10.2 Build?
Do a Nandroid Backup!
Install the ROM from internal sdcard using ClockworkMod Recovery
Note: The partition layout of CM10.2 (beginning from 20130816 nightly) differs of that of CM10/CM10.1. The first install will wipe your /data to switch to the new layout, but after that you may use CWM to restore/backup data of CM10/10.1/10.2. More about repartitioning
Did you get it, @pandronic ?
Xsenman's posts explained all you need.
Yes, thank you.

Did you do a clean flash or did you install via CM Updater?
Try backing up your Apps with TitaniumBackup, wipe system, data, dalvik cache and cache in Recovery (CWM 3.0.6.4 for Kit Kat, I think) and flash Nightly + gapps.

Installed via CM Updater. I have used this for CM 10.2 and all versions of CM 11 up until current nightly without bootloop problem.

Honestly, I am not using the Nightlies, so I can not report anything similar happening to me - it must be a problem with the latest build.
A bootloop usually means that the Kernel wasn´t flashed correctly. Just try directly in CWM and report if it worked out.
EDIT: Just found this thread that reports the same issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2658262
both 0222 and 0221 seem to bootloop. 0220 works however.

Yes that has been my experience; I hope future builds are fixed
Seems to be fixed with nightly from 2-25

Where is the latest CMW 6.0.46 ?

I'm ready to upgrade to CM12 on my HD+ and I believe I need to locate the latest version of the emmc cmw 6.0.4.6 (I see it is talked about, just cannot find it). I see Leapinlar has 6.0.3.6, should I use that one? Or do I wait for Hashcode to release some new "updates" on installation?
I am currently running 4.4.4 (PACROM), do I need to do a complete wipe/format ect... (very clean state) or just wipe and install it?
Thanks for any feedback.
Hope this might be helpful to you. Enjoy!! Happy flashing.

Link for latest recoveries by succulent for Nook HD+(oviation)
https://goo.im/devs/succulent/ovation/recovery/
verygreen's thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600572
Download 'ovation recovery image (CWM)'
cwm-recovery-ovation-6.zip (It's CWM 6.0.4.6)
In CWM menu...
Just use 'wipe data/factory reset'
It will wipe all old data except internal memory and SD card.
Technically not the latest but whatever. I don't care to build the latest just as much as anyone else apparently.

Thanks,
Now it appears that since I went the PACMAN ROM way, this CM12 version installation is different than what I am used to.
So I need some help here.
Is there a how to guide on doing this? I imaged succulent file, but when I tried to add the latest CM12 ROM I get a message that says I have to format the card?????
How do I install CM12 correctly?

You don't have to write the image to external sd card. Please boot into recovery and flash the zip itself. Then press "n" button and volume down and boot into latest recovery and again flash cm12 rom and gapps. It should work.
