Hi. I will buy moto g2 so i am new in moto g2 (in moto g2 no in smartphones) so i have some questions:
There are some different versions of phone like t10xx and some roms don't works on all. Can you tell me somethink more about this?
1GB ram is enough?
XT1063 Global GSM Single SIM
XT1064 US/Canada GSM Single SIM
XT1068 Global GSM Dual-SIM (europe with 8gb, india with 16gb)
XT1069 GSM+GSM+DTV Dual-SIM, Brazil model supporting DTV
Each rom is special, the XT1068 and XT1069 are kind of similar,so are the XT1063 and XT1064 .
There are roms beeing adapted to work on different models like the titan prime.
If 1 GB is enough...check it out,2 GB are surely better but for me the performance is really nice and I dont´s have notable ram issues. Also these problems should be solved with android lollipop.
So i will have XT1068. the roms is available? Many or only some?
I have Nexus 7 ii and 2GB is like too much
I have the 1068 version as well.
Well, there aren't many roms overall out yet (for both devices) but i can recommend you this rom.
I'm looking forward to CM 12 wich is actually in beta but runs great (think the only funktion wich isn't working are sensors (gyro and stuff).
thanks for help

Seems I'm the first one to open a Thread for the Moto G 2014. *proud*
Did anyone find a source to get a dual-sim version of the Moto G(2) 2014? Preferably on the European mainland.
I'm thankful for every information I can get!
Cheers,
M

Motorola gave out the dual-SIM version to journalists, including myself, yesterday. Is this not the one being sold on Amazon?
Actually, I find it hard to see anything on Amazon. Not helped by Motorola thinking it could call the new Moto G the Moto G (2nd generation) or Moto G 2014 as people are also calling it.
It makes it quite hard to identify which is which on the website, and no doubt elsewhere.

I don't know what is sold on Amazon? With Amazon I would give it a blind order try but I can't find it on .co.uk nor on .de. Did you find it?
Not yet. Lots of the original 3G model at some rather inflated prices though.
Any chance you can upload 2 or 3 pictures taken with it?

I don't know about the European mainland but you can get it in India from Flipkart.com; sales are starting from tonight at sharp 1200hrs.
Yes, the European version is with dual sim, at least believing on Expansys and Handteck, that already are selling the phone... can't find it on amazon thought..
The only downside there it seems to exist is that there are only a 8GB version
Sorry to tag on this thread, does the 2014 moto G have a multi colour LED notification?
Lots of misleading info out there...anyone know whether the US has a dual SIM version and the bands for the dual SIM versions? The Motorola website as it is now is pretty useless.

Where did you buy it from rafael ?
I'm planning on getting mine but I'm not sure which seller would ship it quicker. (I was between Walmart and Submarino - These are Brazil only retailers if someone is wondering).
It may be a great phone from what I've been researching.

Purchased on Saturday, arrived on Tuesday, 3 days later!
No regrets so far...
Also got my "normal" moto g 2014 yesterday with dual sim from a German retailer
One doubt guy, does both sims support 3G ?? I heard that only the first supports 3G, the second only 2G...
Is this true??
No one can help me???
I know there are various generations and versions of the Moto G. Do any work well with T-mobil?
yea the moto g model #xt1064 works with T-mobiles Hspa+ bands
you can get one from best buy
XT1064 here running unlocked on T-Mobile without issues. Picked it up at Sears for $133 last night. $2.60 unlock code on eBay.
Not exactly sure where to place this since it's basically about Project Fi not just Nexus 6, but I would like to know what other phones can be used on the Project Fi.
Users have reported success transferring an already activated Project Fi sim to a nexus 5 (2013) completely working. Little is discussed on this since the release of marshmallow officially but it seems very intriguing. People have also posted success on:
Sony Xperia Z5 Compact (but no details)
If you have a phone that supports Tmobile and Sprint and can test its capabilities per above on Project Fi, please post it here! I would love to know if any of these known phones can work on a pre-activated Project Fi sim. These are just a few candidates,
Moto G 2015 (3rd gen) - has full Tmobile/Sprint and Band 12 for VoLTE potential - XT1548
Moto X Style - Full tmobile / partial sprint and band 12 potential
Moto E 2nd gen (Sprint version) - ?full tmobile / full sprint (obviously) and band 12 potential
HTC One A9 (sprint version) - released Nov 6th. Full tmobile and sprint and band 12 potential - also on marshmallow.
LG G Flex 2 -LS996 full Tmobile and sprint and band 12.
LG tribute 2 LS665 - Full tmobile and ?sprint and band 12
Huawei P8 L09 - full tmobile and sprint and band 12 - ?marshmallow soon
.... any of the Iphones ... but who cares?
And any you can think of I can not.
If you have a project fi sim and any of these phones please list out your experience,
Coverage - Tmobile and/or sprint
Wifi calling - useable (?native with marshmallow)
VoLTE service?
Any quirks you've come across!
Thanks in advance,
Rico
I believe the phone has to have a special Qualcomm modem to work properly with project fi

No "I believe" or "I think"
Sources please.
Also, that describes most of the phones on this list
Thanks

Fi only supports 3 phones at this time: Nexus 6, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P:
Why is Project Fi only available on the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6?
These devices are the first smartphones that supports our network of networks. They work with the Project Fi SIM card, which supports multiple cellular networks, and a state-of-the-art cellular radio tuned to work across network types.

Interesting, Im trying to find info on the Moto X Pro - China variant? It may not have Tmobile (and likely not sprint) LTE bands.
Thanks
Rico
Interesting, some more info,
This guy states his moto x 2014 (verizon) works on project fi - data and calling. No mention of wifi calling. Phone doesnt have Volte. I imagine it uses tmobile only - no sprint coverage.

Another one
Moto X - pure edution - xt1575
Full TMobile/sprint and VoLTE capable. not on marshmallow yet.

I want to buy a Moto X 2014 (32GB). But I live in Poland and this phone isn't available in my country. I'm thinking about buying XT1096 Verizon, but I have a few questions:
1. I read that this version haven't block card SIM. It's a true? Can I use my own card SIM (from Poland)?
2. I want to buy phone from this seller . If I choose teak wood or black wood, I will have this ulgy inscription "Verizon" or not? Yes, I know, this is a question for seller, but eBay is a black magic for me and I don't know how do this...
3. Third matter - bootloader. I read in this page - - I will be able to unlock bootloader. Also I read about problems with VoLTE. Phone from link is a VoLTE, or normal version? There will be problems?
4. ROM. I want to have Android 6. But I'm looking AOSP or another pure ROM, because I want to install Xposed. What will be the best?
And what I should know about this version in my situation?
I use it in Europe either and everything works fine.
You can unlock the bootloader and then flash the stock 6.0 of xt1095 (the pure edition), it is very good rom and I used it for half a year.
Just recently I flashed nexus experience which feels much better for me.
You can have xposed on both.
About the ugly 'verizon' inscription , yes you will have it no matter what. This is xt1096, Verizon's version.
Remember that custom ROMs don't support Moto apps such as Display and Voice, which are among this phone's main selling points and do not have any real alternatives
@OrenGazala and @Flipz77, Yours answers are very helpful. Big thanks! I forgot paste link to eBay seller: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Verizon-Unl...hash=item3602a50d3a:m:m5feJrL_YfuqhdKODPEUR0g.
On the picture phone don't have this ugly inscription so I ask. And is this phone 'normal' or VoLTE?
Have you looked at the XT1095 Pure Edition? They are factory unlocked and do not have any carrier branding such as Verizon. I bought mine used on Swappa for a lot less than that link on eBay.
I'm looking at buying another one for a friend of mine who lives in the UK and I'm trying to make sure that the LTE bands will be compatible with his network. It seems that Europe mostly uses 800, 1800 and 2600. The XT1096 has 1800 and 2600 while the XT1095 has only 1800, however my friends network (Three) uses only 1800 and 800 so the lack of 2600 isn't an issue for him, however the lack of 800 could be. But I'm not sure and I don't know how to find out.
Might want to look into what bands your local operator uses in Poland.
Hi. I'm planning to buy a super cheap second hand x performance. But it is 502SO softbank japan edition, comes preloaded with global nougat firmware, I guess the seller reflashed it.
I did like to know if custom ROM for global x performance is compatible with japan ones. Tried to google search but found nothing about custom rom on japan x performance. Will be very glad if anyone can help me on this. Thanks!
