[Q] huawei p7 trubbels after emui 3.0 - Huawei Ascend P7

hello,
my daughter is in possession of a Huawei p7.
a few days ago she received an update from emui 3.0 ... in this update is the error occurred.
restart the phone, but after some time the message comes LongPress 6 second to shutdown or long press volume down to rescue mode!
I really do not know what to do with it.
does anyone know what I should do? I have downloaded from the website of Huawei emui 3.0 and an SD card placed.
I then booted the elephone with volume + knop.vervolgens I navigated to the sd card but then he sees no p7 kernel ...
I start with the volume + and - I get the mention verifying update package ... FAIL.
I use google translate because my english is very sober ...
sorry for this.
can anyone help me?
thanks.

On the SD Card create a folder called dload. There you put the latest update you downloaded, than you start update.

Cannot upgrade P7-L07 with EMUI 2.0

Hi,
a friend of mine has got in China a P7 with a strange EMUI 2.0 firmware (I always knew that P7 came with 2.3 since the first version). I wanted to upgrade it to the EMUI 3.0, then I downloaded the package from emui.com, I extracted the dload directory and copied to the internal memory (the same procedure I succesfully did with mine) but when I booted it holding Vol-, Vol + and Start button I just went into the stock recovery interface.
I though was a problem of the recovery, then I restarted with adb into bootloeader mode but the screen was all empty except for "fastboot mode" wrote at the bottom. When I tried to flash another recovery I got an error saying that flashing the recovery was not allowed.
Anyone knows what the problem is?
Thanks in advance

And also is resisting to any attempt to unlock: do not give Product ID so I cannot produce the unlocking code, neither are working all methods I found on the web. I may have to give up
maybe there is a firmware for your p7-L07 like there is for the p6-u06 where you can flash a so called unicom version and first downgrade and then upgrade/update..
and hopefully this downgrade unlocks the bootloader..
just my thoughts..

Thanks blueIBI, the problem is how to flash it, since the normal way do not work. After copying the dload directory on the phone memory, if I use the system menu to perform local upate or I reboot by pressing Vol+ Vol- Start I always end up in the recovery menu, the firmware gets never installed.
Will try harder.

The phone belongs to a friend of mine. I own another P7 and they look exactly the same. It came in the original box with everything, so I have no doubt that it is original.
The fact that it has EMUI2.0 make me think that it was one of the first released to the market. The phone is working fine, just it is not upgrading on-line and I cannot find a way to upgrade it manually. I will try contacting Huawei support.

Sadly, you are not alone with this problem. My experience was similar to yours. I solved it by throwing the phone away and buying another. Unfortunately, my second P7 has faulty flash memory and is almost useless. I'm now awaiting the delivery of my third P7. I suggest you buy another and avoid EMUI 3.0. Good luck!

A question? How can you do factory reset through settings when you have a bricked phone? I find this very strange!
If by any chance you still can load the OS, get the quickboot app in the market. It will get you to fastboot and than maybe you can install recovery.
All in all, I still don't understand, is your device bricked (can't load OS, just constant reboots - loops), or you just can' downgrade to EMUI 2.3!
Good luck

Probably "brick" is not the exact word, but everything which i wrote in first post is true .. cant do a factory reset from settings and via 3 buttons and cant flash again emui 3 not only 2.3 and the phone just restarts or stuck on first huawei logo when i try to do that and cant charging when is turn off ..etc .. )) When i get quickboot from market what i have to do with it ? Thanks !

To install quickboot you need to load OS which you apparently cannot at the moment. Did you try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p7/help/stock-recovery-stuck-bootloop-t2875935

I totally bricked the phone ... i wrote in fastboot "fastboot flash boot boot.img" and after that the ph0ne begin to restart in timeless circle .. and still do it ... please help emergency ))
Try the method on the first post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p7/general/reverting-emui-3-0-to-2-3-t2934277
I fix it ... turned out i was installed wrong boot.img .. may be of huawei p6 and the stock recovery which installed doesnt work .. now instaled working and everything is ok Thanks 4 wish to help me !
I have a similar/the same issue as some people above described.
I reverted from CWM recovery to stock recovery (same stock recovery img as I used before succesfully). Now the phone can only boot to stock recovery (Reboot system now, Wipe data, Wipe cache, are the only options.
The phone is not detected by adb on that screen, so I can't try to reboot to bootloader using ADB. I also can't get into bootloader from volume button + power, because the phone boots immediately to recovery after I turn it off.
Fortunately I managed to solve it, so for reference:
Remove SD card
Place full (no incremental update) update.APP file on external sd card in /dload folder (B609: https://mega.co.nz/#!akcBCZBJ!4jLhlNsH54H-3DHeK3xPkzT3fWIHBR6QtbOllubdz5Q) using a different device (computer)
insert SD card
turn the phone off from the recovery loop by holding all three buttons (VOL+POW) at the same time. It's a bit tricky, but keep trying until the phone is off
Insert the USB cable in your phone and connect it with your computer (haven't tested if it simply needs power, or an ADB enabled computer)
Then immediately press all three buttons again
You should enter recovery again now, but the phone will immediately start flashing the update.APP ROM.
You will lose all user data though!
same problem here
Hello to all,
I had the same problem that my phone doesn't go on and time after time boot fails,
i read this solution and it works great i am updating my phone.
only i take the power + vol down and when the logo came switch vol down to vol up.
thx for youre help and sorry for my bad english

Tried updating to 6.0, stuck at Huawei loadingscreen

Afternoon gents.
So yesterday i tried to update my Mate S with 5.1 Android to the 6.0 version with Huawei´s Firmware. After adding the Dload file to the mobilephone and starting the update sequenze, the phone does a double boot, basically does the first boot as usual, after loading the first boot it reboots and does a second boot. The second boot just gets stuck at the Huawei loadingscreen.
Ive tried to clear both the cache folder and do a factory reset, both did not work. I tried to do a recovery from the Hisuit software from Huawei, but as my phone is not supported by the software, that did not work either. (And yes, i did get the phone into the Fast Boot menu).
So from what i can see, im left with doing a manuel reset of the ROM. This is not something im very good at, allthough i do know alot about PCs, phones is a whole nother area i have not exlored yet.
So i was wondering if anyone here had any help they could provide me with how i can fix this for this specific phone. I do have the stock ROM and the newest ROM with 6.0 Android.
Ive been fooling around with ADB and SP Flash Tools, but i constantly get stuck as im not too sure what im doing.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Edits
Just a few Edits:
The ADB i simply could not figure out how to use, the SP Flash Tools on the other hand looked quite simplistic and easy to use. Problem i had with the SP Flash Tools is that i only have the Update.APP file, but i did need a Scatter file (and possibly some other files), this is where i got stuck using this software.
Also, i forgot to mention. Whenever i turn off the phone by holding inn the ON/OFF Buttion, it automatically restarts and tries to boot again. Basically i cannot turn it off.
hi..
try to get a full 5.1.1 rom for your mate s..
which cust version do you have?
eu is c432
global is c900
and all others are provider based firmwares or other countries..
so you need to get your proper firmware which is for your country, then take an external sd card..format it on pc (fat32), put a folder on it named "dload", inside this you put the update.app (no need for other files)..
then start your phone by pressing all three hardware buttons (power, vol+ & vol-) at the same time and hold them until the update screen is showing up..
then it should flash/install this firmware..
after that try to start the OTA updater by huawei..
if this doesn't work, take the correct update.app (full version) of the next higher version (in my example it was c432b145 (android 5) - c432b321 (android 6 beta) - c432b361 (android 6 final) ) and do the same as before..
good luck

Hi, thanks for the reply.
To be honest, im not completly sure which i have, but considering i bought it in Norway i supose the EU version is the correct: eu is c432
I did not know you coul boot from an external SD card. this made things alot easyer. Ill drive out to my office where i have a micro SD card coverter and try this fix. Ill bring all the Firmwares and lets hope it all works!
Cheers for the reply man, might just be my lifesaver.
Hello again,
I tried what you suggested with both the stock ROM and the new updated ROM, but it did not seem to work. The problem i get is when the update starts, it reaches 5% when it verifies the software, then i get a "Software install failed!".
Please note i had this problem before i tired this, problem first occured when i did a factory reset of the device. So i belive the phone is still not booting from the SD card, but from thge phone itself as before. How do i solve this?
I could also add. before i did the factory reset, the update did work, but it still got stuck on the boot logo.
I gues ill be sending the phone inn for service tomorrow unfortunatly, cause i cannot figure this out. Thanks though!

Flashing Stock Android

I'm kinda sick of EMUI not letting me use some normal Google features, so I wanted to know whether or not you could flash a Google stock ROM from their website.
Do these ROMs only work with Nexus devices or do they work with any device? Would it be a good idea to flash 7.1.1 directly from Google? Thanks.
Only works with Nexus devices.
No it is a catastrophic idea to try to flash them on a incompatible not listed as compatible device. You will run into a plethora of issues.

Which Huawei P9 do you have? EVA-L09? EVA-L19?

THIS WORK ONLY WITH HUAWEI P9-EVAL19C432 ONLY WITH PHONE WAS INSTALL ANDROID 7.
THE OFFICIAL ROM CONTAIN THE KEYBOARD HUAWEI AND PROGRAM PACK.

3. Create a folder on sd card with name: dload
4. Extract the HUAWEI_P9_Rollback Package and copy on card folder dload file update.app
5. Insert sd card on phone and press together VOLUM UP + VOLUM DOWN + POWER button. Phone now will start install the rollback pack. Rollback pack restore phone with a blank firmware code to accept the Android 6 stock rom.
6. After install complete the phone automatic restart after that remove the sd card and copy official rom on dload folder.
ATTENTION after restart please don't precedes wizard just power off phone. If you start install wizard of phone you don't see the keyboard only google voice activate and the official rom don't install huawei keyboard after that.
7 Copy the update.app from HUAWEI_P9_Firmware_EVA-L19 archive on dload card folder an press together VOLUM UP + VOLUM DOWN + POWER button firmware install will start. Need help to flash stock rom on P SMART 2019

Hi everyone,
I need to flash stock rom on a huawei P SMART 2019
Unfortunately I followed all steps on this link : https://firmwarefile.com/huawei-p-smart-2019-pot-lx1
I installed all drivers, software but when I put in donwload mode, it shows ADB interface ready but not downloading on the phone or sometime I get a fastbook status failed
If anyone had a little trick with this
Thank you.
If you’re still looking for a solution, I reverted a Huawei P Smart 2019 (POT-LX1 but may also be known as POT-L21) back to 9.1 stock ROM by:
1. Downloading the firmware from here: https://androidhost.ru/search.html
2. Putting the 3 zip files from the firmware in a dload directory on a clean SD card then putting it in the phone (please note that some documentation instruct you to put UPDATE.APP in the dload directory. This didn’t work for me.)
3. Powering on the phone while holding both the volume buttons down
The phone would reboot in EMUI recovery, check the presence of the firmware on the SD card, and install it if correct.
Hi
Unfortunately I can't test anymore since I don't have the demo unit with me but thank you
