Cannot Unlock Bootloader, XT1095 Pure Edition - X 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Cannot unlock the bootloader, after I run the adb command, fastboot oem get_unlock_data, copy and paste into Moto's unlock bootloader web page, I get the "does not qualify to be unlocked" dialog box, I have made sure of no spaces/white places, I have manually keyed in all the five lines, I have saved to NotePad, I have attempted many different ways, I chatted with Moto, which was a waste of time, the only thing that one could/would help me with was the page link, which I've had and used for at least two years..
I have unlocked and relocked at least ten Moto's, but never had a failure like this, after MANY attempts..has anyone experienced this, can help me with this.? I have to wonder if my device isn't in Moto's database..XT1095 Pure Edition..

Also try different browser I could not on my computer put in numbers on phone browser and it worked
Sent from my XT1095 using Tapatalk

Took me about two weeks from receiving mine and tried Chrome and IE. Finally Moto said that they had entered mine in the system late or something to that nature.
Hope you get that resolved.

How long have you had the phone? When I got mine it said the same thing initially, after a few days I was able to unlock it.

Bootloader locked/signed

According to birdmann on twitter and droidxforums the dx has the same encryption of the milestone... bummer

Yeah, I posted this in another thread. Pretty unhappy about this, but I don't know if it's enough to drive me to another phone (probably the Fascinate).
Yea I think I might get it and taje it back before 30 days and keep my incredible until fascinate comes out or maybe another non motorola phone haha

Ugh......do I cancel my Droid X Best Buy pre-order and wait for something else, being impatient all the time, or just go with it and forget about root/ROMs...
Decisions, decisions.
Uh you can still get root with a locked down bootloader.
Custom ROMs and recovery images may be a pipe dream, unless a serious vulnerability is discovered.

Right, but root still looks to be a long ways off, (he just estimated 4 months) though obviously nobody knows for sure.

DROID X, DROID 2 Won't Allow Custom ROMs
the bright side to this is, with it having the same type of encryption as the MileStone devs have had 7 months to figure out what does and doesn't work.
better this than some crazy even more complicated encryption.

Developer Droid X: may hold key to our success!

Rainabba and norman over at alldroid claim to have found a developer droid x that for sure has froyo and may also have a different bootloader. Guys even if its complete bull**** i would be willing to donate for a dream. Head over to www.alldroid.org.

Awesome if this turns out good for everyone
Dropped a little something. Hopefully this turns out legit.

Don't get you hopes up too much though.
We had the bootloader from developer phones on Milestone. However it was of no use, since hardware key on dev phone was different (also dev phone just has OMAP HS mode disabled in hardware, that's how it accepts everything).

While my gut says all of this is probably true, I'm going to blissfully remain 100% optimistic!
Workin' it
Alldroid sent out a tweet about 1 hr ago:
"We have the phone and are working on it."
EDIT: tweet from alldroid 5:30pm EST:
"We have a Droid X with Froyo running on it and FULL ROOT (including working su). More to come as it's available. "
You can follow it all here:

Thanks to Alldroid for the work and setting up this post for us to follow.
Are you ready for it?
Tweet by AllDroid @ 7:37am EST:
"Birdman is running a custom recovery. This is 100% legit. This recovery is NOT working 100% YET. PLEASE don't harass him. More to come."

RAZR M - Debug Build

The last debug build that was released (As far as I am aware).
WARNING: This is be a full debug version and logs everything. I am scripting up a way to disable debug logs and remove the developer crap. Will not upload until I have that, you don't want this if it's all on, it's barely useable and I dont' want this on since it can be traced back to the origin.
Build= userdebug-4.0.4-7.7.1Q-144_SMQ_S1-25-27-test-keys-Verizon-US
Version also released to devs: userdebug-4.0.4-7.7.1Q-144_SMQ_S1-30-32-test-keys-Verizon-US
Full RSDLite flash version is COMING SOON. PM me if you want a crack at the files before I drop them or want to help me strip these down, I need to remove the developer ID code so that the "originator" is not identifiable.
I can strip the specific .IMG files out - Has unlocked bootloader.
TBH has some considerable experience with test keys builds for other Motorola devices and we would love a chance to take a look at these files.
We also have a number of OTA updates for various test keys builds that we cant use unless we have a full XML zip build to start from.
I am still waiting for my dev edition M to be shipped by Motorola. It was supposed to arrive today but has been delayed till the 24th for unknown reasons.

PM me an e-mail address and I will send you a login to access the files on the condition that they are not to be released until we can confirm the ID is not being included.

Are you positive that its actually going to be released? I thought There has to be a massive call for it? reason I say that is because I talked to a verizon rep today and he was straight up with me. I'm from rochester NY and he told me he wasn't even sure if it'll happen. I just went ahead and bought it anyways. I'm loving it right now. But please enlighten me!

Of course its going to be released its been purchasable for almost a week they are just having issues shipping so it got delayed a week. You should return it ASAP if you want an unlocked bootloader.

I Know my bad I read deeper into it after posting this sorry. But for $550 and no contract? You can be my guest lol. Plenty of phones have done well without an unlocked boot loader. Even if root cannot be accomplished for a while, I'm almost positive were gonna get cm10 soon its just a matter of time. I'm happy with the phone as is anyway. I guess time will tell.

Developers familiar with the Moto Builds are using the files. Since it's pre-release files don't expect miracles but they might help them to understand a few things. It's a small step but a step nontheless.

So now that the dev edition is out and the international/unlocked edition is beginning to ship, any suggestions on where we can get source and/or stock images/SBFs?

[Q] kit kat killed Activesync?

Sorry if this is a repeat.
I just got a Moto X on Verizon and the update to Kit Kat before I did anything. Now I can't get it to sync with my corporate email with the native email app or Touchdown. This all works fine on my GNEX with 4.2.2
Is this a known thing? Is there a work around or am I stuck waiting for Verizon to fix this?
The same happened for me. The 4.4.1 update fixed it for me just look in the nexus 5 forum and you should be able to find an exchange app that is updated(you'll prob need to be rooted)I used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2531268 this and it works fine now for me. I went through auto setup and it hung up. but manual setup worked fine. Only had to change the server URL to make work. Hopefully this helps.

By the way it is a known 4.4 issue with some exchange servers

Thanks for the confirmation. I know I can search for this, but I'm traveling all this week with little time.
I'm new to the Moto X. I don't have the developer version. Could you point me to a thread/site for unlocking the bootloader and rooting the VZW Moto X?
Thanks.

Oh, and I'd prefer to stick with Touchdown if possible. Is there any way to get 4.4.1 or 4.4.2 without just waiting for VZW to push an update out?
Thanks.
Same problem here. Could someone post the fixed, installable, email and exchange files from 4.4.2? I'm not rooted. Thanks.
You guys are going to have to do a little leg work here. I posted a link. You can try to install it like a normal app not sure if it will work or not. Only other way is going to be to root. This is xda after all come here to root and hack your device

fair comment borex. I'm back from my trip and will spend some time finding the root methodolgy for my device. I didn't come expecting to be hand-held, but sometimes the root for a device is common and well known (like my previous GNEX). I've been around the block a few times. I had the original Siemens MDA
Thanks for the help.

Thank you brorex!! That worked perfectly for me... This is much better than waiting for Motorola to push out new OS update with the fixes implemented!

Question: Moto X Root 5.1 Unlocked Bootloader

I've been lurking around looking at root methods for the VZW 2nd gen Moto X with an unlocked bootloader for a bout 30 minutes. It seems like the more I look and fine, the more confused I get. Is there a quick and safe way to achieve this? I know this probably gets asked a lot, but I havent rooted a phone in probably 5+ years. I'd really like to be able to root it tonight, but I don't have too much time and absolutely have to have the phone tomorrow. Thanks in advance for those who help me beyond the typical, go search, answer.

For android 5.1 just flash TWRP to the phone, start TWRP. When you exit TWRP it will ask if you want to root it. Say yes.
