How to s-off verizon htc one hboot 1.54 - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone, I need help unlocking the bootloader or someway to s-off the phone since verizon blocked the unlocking bootloader for m7 and m8. I tried running rumrunner 1.10.605.10 which is the software number I have on the htc one. I'm coming from the htc one mini but this verizon htc one m7 is so complicated. Thank you all and have a great day.

[Q] help in root my device

Hello,
before you get angry on me i read all of the guids but im a little bit confused and because my device isnt at&t or spirnt im afraid that the guides i read arent the right one for me
Ok, so my device is the htc one 801e, i bought it from the official Importer of htc in my country (i dont have any offical htc in my country, so this is the htc for me. they also have their own CID K_18)
my hboot version is 1.54, my android version came out of the box as 4.2.2 and my software version is 2.24.401.1. (the device is S-ON)
I really want to root my device and install new roms (im not a total noob, just in htc :silly but i didnt understand if their is a way to me (since i understand that there isn't way to do s-off with 1.54 hboot) to root my device without my warranty to get hurt (i pay higer price just to have the offical warranty of htc in my country)
so please help me understand what can i do, withot losing my warranty.
THANKES FOR EVERYONE WHO HELP!:laugh:
No, you will have the status as relocked then.... Warranty would be void.... S off not possible as you know it...
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
so there isnt any soultuion for right now?
and if there would be an s-off, i can root my device and then return it to the beginning and the warranty wouldn't be void?
just one more thing, an s-off that i can use with my device is somthing that someone working on that? or that is just a dream?
thankes for the help so far
The procedure to s-off is an exploit. It was patched in the new hboot. The devs are trying to find a way to s-off 1.54, but no one knows when they'll find it, if they ever do. Its not something as simple as say, unlocking a bootloader.
You can still root, and flash custom Roms, but you have to unlock the bootloader via HTCDev. Afterwards your bootloader will have a tampered flag, that can not be removed without s-off. It does not instantly void your warranty, but HTC could deny any warranty claims they deem software related.
So, unlock and risk losing your warranty.
Or, wait patiently for the wonderful devs to cook up a new exploit.
AT&T HTC One
Baadnewz's InsertCoin 3.0-14
Flar2's Bulletproof 4.3
Thanks a lot!
Now i finally understand the whole s-off idea, but for now i think i will wait a few months and let the devs to ther magic job (hopefully htc won't release a new hboot, although i understand so far that if i first do an s-off and then upgrade my hboot, i will stil have s -off? )

HTC One Conversion Dilema!?

Okay, so here goes...
A friend of a friend has a AT&T 64GB HTC One (in silver, if anyone cares...)
I, being the phone guru in the eastern parts of the GTA in Ontario (Yes, I am a Canadian, )
was contacted earlier this week to solve a rather confusing issue to which I find myself rather dumbfounded.
PROBLEM: Phone-owner rooted, unlocked the bootloader and s-off'ed using RevOne (before 1.54 hboot as not currently possible as of today). He attempted a Google Edition conversion with success or so he thought, now the phone works fine except for any carrier based service of any kind, sim is detected but, no service of any kind works. During the conversion he re-locked bootloader, flipped s-off to s-on and unrooted. Root has been re-achieved, and I'm looking into HBOOT version for s-off and the ability to re-unlock bootloader. TWRP is the currently installed recovery, when a sense-based rom is installed, it says sim is locked. I'm quite adept at android everything and this kind of stumps me and is my first take at HTC One development.
Any help greatly appreciated, thanks!
UPDATE: HBOOT is 1.54 and is S-ON
I don't have a solution but I remember reading on XDA that you will screw up your phone if you switch s-off to s-on after doing the conversion.

Any ideas on where you read this or if anyone knows, I'm eager to know as I was offered to buy the dilema-ridden HTC One.
Thanks
Sounds like he screwed up his phone like some others did who were not careful enough about the GE conversion. What he did was input a conflicting MID/CID then locked that bad configuration down.
From what I've heard, installing a 4.3 rom may solve the issue. You can't currently s-off because the 1.54 hboot closed the exploit.
You could be buying an expensive mp3 player, so be careful.

Pls. help! Cant S-Off Htc One M8 HK even with Sunshine S-Off!...

hello dear friends, maybe someone can lead me in the right direction here. I have a sprint Htc One m8 Harman Kardon with badboyz 4.4.2 rom installed. I have tried rumrunner S-off and Firewater S-off to no avail. I then read about Sunshine S-off and was ok with parting with $25- to have my phone unlocked but when I run the compatibility test in sunshine it says that my htc isnt supported! My htc M8 currently has the BadBoyz rom in it, I dont have a nandroid backup to get back to s tock and i havent been able to find a stock rom that i can flash in TWRP. I have only found RUUs, but to use RUUs you have to have s-off so I really dont know what else to try at this point.... any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
RUU's do not require s-off.

sorry about that....could you please tell me which is the right RUU to use in my case then? thanks!
I had some similar issues in the past, try flashing thoughtlesskyle's stock rom. It may show compatability then. Hope this helps.
U need to be running a stock Rom.

Thanks for your help, after flashing a stick Rom sunshine worked just fine and I'm now unlocked

[Q] How to S-OFF HTC One M8 Sprint 1.54.651.10

If Firewater doesn't work your only option is Sunshine.

HTC One M7 (Sprint) with Hboot 1.57 Need S-Off help

hi,
i bought an HTC One M7 (Sprint)
HBoot 1.57.000
radio-1.01.20.0904_2
android 4.3 sprint rom
I managed to unlock bootloader, root the device, but cant S-Off with any of the methods, Can some one tell me if there's a method that worked for them or let me know which method to try ?
Thanks
You've tried RumRunner?
If so the only other option is Sunshine.
I've been down that path with 1.57 and Sunshine is your only choice.
I used RumRunner way back when, but haven't needed S-Off since mid 2013 (seems like such a long time ago, haha!) so it's easy to say I'm out of the loop with S-Off providers.
Sunshine seems to be the best option, seeing as RumRunner doesn't directly support Sprint anymore.

RumRunner will work if you have an older hboot
