Can anyone compare battery life on 4.4 vs lollipop? Has it become tolerable on this phone?

Lollipop is bad! Google really messed up in lollipop with battery life. I can go about 13 hours with 2.5 hours SOT. And i have virtually nothing installed and a ton of stuff disabled. Just check the lollipop battery impressions thread in general section.
On lollipop

I have KitKat only one day
Wysłane z mojego XT1092
With how much standby though? i could do that easily if i just left my screen on the entire charge of the phone.
This is SOT, with this SOT standby is not very much, all time I use Tapatalk, GG, some game's and from 15 % battery I have battery saving mode automatic turned on. the average time SOT with me is from 5 hours to 7.

I havent really noticed much of a diff between 4.4.4 and 5.0. I'm usually getting 2 - 3 days on a full charge.

Hello.
I recently bough an Optimus 4x HD (5 days ago) and it is draining battery like hell... Lasts about 12 hours in average usage, with texting and cpu set at 760 mhz . I also have lg quadgearbox installed but honestly haven't noticed any big difference. Uninstalled almost every unnecessary system app , but still using way too much battery. Any ideas on what's draining all my juice?
Here are some screenshots to help I hope
install better battery stats and see what exactly is causing our phone to drain.
Did you check processor state? Does it go into deep sleep?
Allright going to install better battery stats.
Sry but how do I check if it goes into deep sleep?
Allright, installed battery stats, charged it all night long. going to let it drain until the end of the day only texting, not gonna turn wifi or play any game. Bringing some news at night !

Those who drop the first Moto G for the 2nd generation, what do you think about battery life?
Better or worst?
Real difference?
Cheers !

Battery life was better on the original Moto G.
Agree the original moto has fantastic battery life .... The moto g 2014 battery life was similar to my old nexus 5 lasts about a day with reasonable use.....
Not bad at all I'd say

Only WiFi and low brightness doesn't count
I barely get over 3.5 hours SOT, with 3G on for the whole morning and WiFi for the rest of the day
A lot of games and a lot of browsing
It still lastes a day though, so yeah it's good

It's autobrightness and I only use wifi because that's what I have still an outstanding result
I've noticed that using odexed firmware my battery life is gorgeous! It lasts the whole day with heavy usage. Givin' me a 20hrs of use and 7 hours with screen on.
Why deodexed roms drains more battery as it seems? Should I wait some charging cycles? What do you guys think?
Hi I noticed the same... I have 24 Hours with 5+hours Screen on. Just with deodex I have 3 - 4 hours Screen on time.
Awesome *-*

guys that cant be correct
i'm now using trinity rom and i'm getting much more battery life than before
i have a 24+ hours battery and 8 or 9+ screen on life time .. 90% of time the wifi is on too!!
it depends what rom and what kernel u use and how do you customize the hardware performance to get a better battery life
i attached a screenshot .. its a normal use , all time wifi on , more than 3hours continuously screen on , 30mins playing Hay Day and so on

Hello,
I have a galaxy S5 with stock ROM and I have a question about the battery life.
When I charge my phone the morning I'm at 100 % of battery but even if I am doing that, I can not finish the day with only one charge and its quite annoying.
Is it from the battery ? Or is it a normal battery life for the S5 ?
Here are my statistics (it's almost always like that everyday : I get between 2h45 and 3h30 screen on time each day) :
I precise that I have a 3 year old battery and have installed in my S5 only a few applications.
Thank you for your replies !

I had similar problem. Factory reset and upgrade helped me a lot.
I'm new to this device and a little dismayed at the poor battery performance.
I don't consider myself a heavy user but find the battery is almost depleted after 8 hours of so, after being charged.
I can't find a SCREEN ON TIME in the settings so not sure how much screen time I'm getting.
I have received the September update, shortly after getting the phone.
Do any of the custom ROMs offer better battery life?
thanks
If you went into settings>battery it should be there
