Hello,
I have a galaxy S5 with stock ROM and I have a question about the battery life.
When I charge my phone the morning I'm at 100 % of battery but even if I am doing that, I can not finish the day with only one charge and its quite annoying.
Is it from the battery ? Or is it a normal battery life for the S5 ?
Here are my statistics (it's almost always like that everyday : I get between 2h45 and 3h30 screen on time each day) :
I precise that I have a 3 year old battery and have installed in my S5 only a few applications.
Thank you for your replies !

I had similar problem. Factory reset and upgrade helped me a lot.

Hi, I'm having a problem regarding battery draining issue, no matter Eclair 2.1 or Froyo 2.2, I left my SGS fully charge 100% at 12am and find out it only left 75% at 6am. So you guys can imagine how suffer I am to survive using this phone especially on heavy use. But I really love this phone
The main culprit which I believe is the Display which consumes high power as you can see in my snapshot bellow
I would like to ask your favor to share what is your Display % and Do you have any battery draining problem?
You can find the % info as below
Settings>About Phone>Battery use>Display
Do you have any suggestion how to solve this? Or any recommended ROM that can fix it?
Terima kasih. Thank you. 谢谢. Obrigado. Gracias. Спасибо. Vielen Dank. Dank u. Shukran

More info:
**I've tried the batterystats.bin fix
**I've closed all background running programs
Currently I'm using i9000, Froyo 2.2 xxJPK, rooted, OCLF v2.1, standard TWLauncher
Have you tried turning off 3G and WiFi overnight?
I get the impression that "Display" actually covers everything other than Cell Standby, Wifi, and Phone Idle.
Use the test menu *#*#4636#*#* from the dialler to get more detailed battery history, especially check the CPU usage stats as a runaway process may be chewing through the battery.
Hi,
Since the 4.3 update on my ZR I have a big battery drain problem, with android OS eating up sometimes more than 50 % of my battery and keeping the phone awake for approximately 10 hours.
Anybody have a solution ?

Seems like a SD card issue to me. Unless you're mounting and un-mounting the SD card all the time, it's not quite normal to have this wakelock for more than an hour.
Do you have another SD card to test? Or you might try formatting your existing SD card. It's possible some of the media files inside are corrupted.
Can anyone compare battery life on 4.4 vs lollipop? Has it become tolerable on this phone?

Lollipop is bad! Google really messed up in lollipop with battery life. I can go about 13 hours with 2.5 hours SOT. And i have virtually nothing installed and a ton of stuff disabled. Just check the lollipop battery impressions thread in general section.
On lollipop

I have KitKat only one day
Wysłane z mojego XT1092
With how much standby though? i could do that easily if i just left my screen on the entire charge of the phone.
This is SOT, with this SOT standby is not very much, all time I use Tapatalk, GG, some game's and from 15 % battery I have battery saving mode automatic turned on. the average time SOT with me is from 5 hours to 7.

I havent really noticed much of a diff between 4.4.4 and 5.0. I'm usually getting 2 - 3 days on a full charge.
I have a note 4 which says its 910f where the Emi is under the battery on the phone . but when I go to download mode it say it 910p and wont let me flash baseband or modem of 910f , and it has all sort of weired touch problem and works fine with the Spen . i bought it second hand and the previous Owner has no clue as well. i have google and done almost every thing to get the touch working again. the phone has no signs that it was droped or dumped in the water .. the phone was rooted before and had some recovery which was not philz cm or twp

Some hardware elements could be switched. Like on mine i9505 there are some HW parts that comes from i9500.
You think he would have printed new label is add the F .
Your reason he got a bug on the charging on the device.

I'm new to this device and a little dismayed at the poor battery performance.
I don't consider myself a heavy user but find the battery is almost depleted after 8 hours of so, after being charged.
I can't find a SCREEN ON TIME in the settings so not sure how much screen time I'm getting.
I have received the September update, shortly after getting the phone.
Do any of the custom ROMs offer better battery life?
thanks
If you went into settings>battery it should be there
