[Q] HTC One (m7) - blackscreen with soft. buttons ON - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I've a problem with my HTC One.
It has been working really fine until now.
Suddenly my screen was black and the 2 software buttons "turned on" (they're permanently lighted now, no flashing).
(I dont know if this has somthing to do with problem but i have to tell it anyway... It happened when i tried to connect my device to my TV via 3.5mm Jack audio cable and then i was switching sources on TV)
I tried to find some solution for this problem but all threads about this problem is with flashing SW buttons and its solved by holding power button or volume down button. This apparently doesn't work with my phone.
I'd appreciate if you could try to help me with finding solution for my problem.
Thank you.
/EDIT:
When I connect it via USB to my PC, nothing happens, neither LED notification doesn't work when i connect my charger.

Shine a torch or other bright light source at the 2 sensors next to the top speaker grill. Hold Volume Down + power for 30+ seconds.
It sounds as if your Proximity Sensor is stopping it from turning on :good:

Thanks for your advice, but unfortunately this doesn't work too.
Tried LED flashlight (really strong), flashlight app on father's phone and classic yellow-light bulb. Nothing works.

Have you tried disabling your fast boot settings so you can gain access to the boatloader and do a factory reset on the phone?

Bricked Diamond :(

Hi all
I wanted to upgrade to Hard-Spl-OliNex . but when my phone went to black screen , Nothing happend . After it my phone screen is black .
I can't go to tricolor by pressing Vol down and Reset.
When I connect my phone to Charge , its tempreture increase but the LED not work.
When I press the power key , after about 30min its tempreture increase slowly , but nothing happend.
Please help me !
cant you do a hard reset? or try the unofficial rom with unofficial RUU, they may be able to force the flashing to your diamond.
i feel sorry for you
are you pressing volume down and centre button and the reset button?
Try hard resetting
Try the sequence various times it is tricky to get.
Hope all is fine
My Phone doesn't connect to pc .All the time , Its screen is black ,Even I wanna go to bootloader or Hard reset
If there's no output whatsoever on the screen (only leds blink) and you can't enter boot loader, then your SPL may be damaged.
You may want to PM Olipro to ask if he has a solution for this issue (e.g. flashing SPL for a CID-locked bricked Diamond).
Anyone has a Suggestion ?
try taking the battery out for 10 seconds.
it worked for me!
I take the battery , But not work

The LED indicator (on Diamond, next to the earpiece) does not light up when AC adpater is plugged in.
The "HTC" icon does light up on the AC Adapter.
The Diamond does charge when plugged in to the AC adapter, even though the LED does not light up.
Ideas?
LED??

The LED next to the ear piece isn't an LED, it's an ambient light sensor to adjust the backlight when set to 'Automatic'... thus, it doesn't light up EVER! The charge indicator (at least on my Diamond) is the white 'circling' of the enter button (centre d-pad).
LED of your ac charger is ON if you connect Charger to power .
But When you connect your phone to Charger , Led that around the enter butten should be lightening.
Does it happen ?

Reset your phone when you hold Volume down butten and hold it untill the tricolor screen appear .
Then you can install roms .
I have the same problem, any idea???
Had the same, what I did was very simple: simply pressed the reset button and it installed it self without problems. But I was close to the end, I suppose...

[Q] my htc one cant be turned on after deep sleep

My HTC one developer edition won’t wake up after deep sleep the screen does not turn on i have tried to press power button and volume down and no response except for flashing back and home buttons. When I call my phone I can hear a tone from the other phone but no response from the HTC one. I have also tried to hold the power button and the only response was flashing of the touch buttons. I tried to connect it to my PC it appear in device manager but if i tried any command (no device found). alsoI noteced that when i connect it to the charger no orange or green LED lights
Any advice would be helpfull.

Awesome, I'm glad it worked! Sometimes the proximity sensor is buggy it seems. The feature is there to prevent accidental touches from turning the phone on if it's in a pocket or purse or something - if the sensors sees darkness, it will not allow the phone to turn on. Sometimes this feature is buggy or it sticks, and the bright light positively tells the proximity sensor the phone is not in a pocket and should turn on or reboot.
Exact same issue as the original poster, exact same resolution.
Thanks for the help. That was an exceedingly unexpected cause. I am curious as to how/why exactly it is so buggy, would anyone happen to know?
EDIT: I am curious if temperature might be related actually. I have had the phone for nearing a year, but this is the first time I have had it where the local temperatures have dropped below freezing, and my phone was indeed quite cold when I picked it up, but that could have been related to it being off as to this issue, it was on the charger, which traditionally keeps it fairly warm regardless. The phone itself has been rebooted a couple of times since I got it, lost power twice, but has not been off or rebooted in weeks before this, as is general for my usage.

[Q] HTC One Wont Turn On - Bricked?

Hi Everyone,
I haven't been on here for a while. I have a HTC one that has stopped working. It is flashing the home and back buttons when I try to power it up and the LED light isn't working when I plug it in.
I Have managed to mess around enough with it trying the bright light trick and all combinations of power + volume down/up buttons to try and get it to spring into life. Iv e tried these connected to a charger and connected to the laptop as well.
When I press the volume down button and hold it the LED came on and started to flash, then it became constant red. I've left it charging overnight and its now a constant green so fully charged or so it thinks. Ive since tried the combination of buttons again but when I do the led goes off.
Ive scoured the internet last night for anyone with my similar situation and found a lot of posts but none that match my situation exactly.
When I turn it on normally nothing happens apart from the on sound and the under device manager it says "HTC MTP Device".
I m going to make a quick vid and put it on youtube and add the link in here just in case anyone has been in this situation before and found a remedy.
Before anyone asks I don't know what rom was on it, or if it was unlocked bootloader. I bought it second hand and just started using it. It went off mid day with plenty of battery and it wasn't hot.
Any help would be most appreciated as im running out of ideas fast!. plus my fingers are sore...lol.
Thanks for reading
Steve

Plug it into the charger, does the led light go on? Also try holding the power button and both volume buttons for 15 seconds.

Connect to pc to back your data up. Also does the touchscreen work? And did you drop your phone or something else?
the touchscreen doesn't work
debugging mode is not activated, I cannot transfer my data to the pc.
I had the touchscreen bug for some time and suddenly, the screen did not turn on. The phone did not fall.

If it still under warranty i would send it to where you bought it. Even if you dont have warranty try it because the device should not be broken under normal use.
keep pressing the power button and when your phone vibrates try and hit restart. i know your screen is blacked out but if possible just try and locate. it happened with me too and thankfully my devices' screen recovered. the pop up comes just adjacent to the power button. first option will be your power off and then just below will be your restart.
I already tried
the phone reboots well but still black screen
