G Watch R Dot on Screen? - LG G Watch R

Just bought myself a G Watch R, second hand(alarm bells ring) happens to have this on the screen...
Being a techie, I was pretty certain it's not a dead pixel as I've seen many and this doesn't look like one.
It doesn't affect the use of the phone and isn't visible on darker faces or screens, only when its a lighter colour, it's sort of a red dot, looking closer its a black dot surrounded by red...
Not sure what it is or if its fixable, not a huge issue but OCD is driving me crazy, anyone have a clue?

Also after looking at it a bit more, it's clear that it's actually see through, when I put text directly beneath it, I still see text... Hmmm!!

Try Stuck Pixel for wear to try to fix it:

That looks like a clear hardware failure. Your screen is apparently damaged. I cannot imagine how that one passed the QC at LG fab.
If I'd be in your shoes, I'd ask for a replacement.

Screen Problem - line on screen

Hello, I've had my diamond about a week, looked after it, no physical damage to it as far as i noticed...
but just been browsing and notice a small line about 1cm long across the screen only visible on light background, rainbow coloured. would this be a scratch underneath the screen? i dont feel any roughness on the outer screen. how would this happen, any solutions? cheers.

Same here...
Thats a fault with the screen, I work for a big TV company and that is the most common fault we see in our service centre! is it a green line? if so then its probably some dust on an internal connector, According to our engineers its easy to fix but invoves taking the whole screen off!
(this is how it works with TV's im pretty sure its the same with a phone screen!)
That's funny, I recently noticed the exact same kind of scratch on mine.
I can only tell with a white background though...
That happened to me aswell. Just do a soft reset, it worked for me .

We're not talking about the same thing here.
In my case, it's clearly a scratch considering I can see it with the device turned OFF under the right lighting conditions (and at a certain angle).
I can't tell if it's the screen protection or the actual screen that's damaged though and I don't really care to try to find out

Yellowish patch developed on the screen

My diamond has a yellowish patch towards the bottom left hand on the screen. Its only visible when the screen is showing something white only. Anybody else having this problem? any solution?
This is a very common issue with the Diamond... The yellow "clouds" is easier to see when the phone runs hot or with white backgrounds as you mentioned...

There's nothing you can do to make the yellow spots go away, either you will have to live with it or change the display (or phone).

You will eventually get over it and completely forget that they ever existed.

[Q] display problem

Hi I have a small problem with my galaxy and I wonder if it is a common thing or is it a sporadic case. I recently took my galaxy in assistance for the replacement of the screen (between lcd and capacitive glass had a hair) Once again after a while 'I realized (I think that there is a problem from the beginning) that appeared on the display strange signs. Initially I thought it was a lcd problem then I tried to shift the LCD image and saw that signs remained fixed as if they were between display and glass. I brought the phone back in service but they said there were no defects. For sureness (they were very nice) they showed me another galaxy just out of the box and presented the same peculiarities. It seems to me (but I'm not sure) that the first galaxy that I had not had this feature.
If you want to help me try to manually set the display brightness to low and pull down the curtain of the notification bar, or choose a dark gray background and gimme an answer.
thank you
i attach a photo
anyone?
I saw that many people have downloaded the image.
thank you
Can you explain what is so peculiar about it ? I dont see anything wrong with that image . Is it the three orange color curved lines ?? (though that looks to me like a reflection of something).
Are you talking about the red haloing effect around the white text?
Apart from the orange claw 'reflection' in the top right there is nothing discernible about that image.
orange signs are camera lens reflection. I talk about grey zones of images. If you watch closely you notice that some grey pixel zones are different from other. With a kind of green blur.
thank you for your answers
Is this what you are concerning about?

Screen "Spasms" on Scrolling

So I have noticed that when I scroll on my HD7 there are black lines across the top of every column - in other words it looks like the screen is lagging slightly behind the scrolling.
It is most obvious when you see it blue on black as far as I can tell.
It seems to vanish with a white background. It is something I have seen on every HD7 I have seen in stores and my own HD7.
It is almost like the effect of when you wave your finger/hand in front of your face and you see a trail.... that is what it looks like.
Is that a screen issue or a human eye can't keep up issue?
I am sorry if you now notice this issue on your new phone
in another thread about this someone said it was due to the screen not refreshing quickly enough due to the type of lcd used, I do know it happens on mine as well though, try setting it to the purple theme, it gets really bad, and if you tilt the phone the theme turns pink which amused me.

[Q] Weird screen in dimmed mode

Hello, I've had my watch for a week now and something is starting to annoy me. The screen is perfectly fine but when the watch goes in dimmed mode, the screen turns the image into a bad quality one (maybe to prevent burn-in?) but that's the the annoying part, the problem is that two part of the screen are darker in dimmed mode (top left and top right) so any watchfaces that I put look out of place.
I tried taking a picture of it but I can't get it to show exactly what I see. http://imgur.com/A20sLRb (I used a white face to display it better. The dark spots look bigger and darker in person)
Does it happen to some of you?
Whoa. I've never seen anything like that on my screen. Did you sand down the watch? After only a week? Looks pretty cool. I would tell you to try and return the watch if it's just a week old but I guess that's out of the question now.
Sent from my A0001 using XDA Free mobile app
Yeah I bought it because I saw you could sand it. I didn't like the mat black finish.
After using the same watchface for some time and going back to the white one to test the screen, I can see new dark spots corresponding to the watchface I used. So it is probably screen burn-in, but why would it only show when in dimmed mode? That's pretty weird.
