Not bricked , either stuck in boot loop or Hanging ( a soft brick) both ARE fixable
custom recovery? boot to this and wipe ALL caches / data / user / dalvik etc and then try to boot ROM again
How do I reset my device?
In the unlikely event that your device becomes unresponsive, frozen, blank or black screen, or will not respond to the power button, you can perform a force restart or reboot on the device by following the steps below.
Press and hold the Power button for 7 - 10 seconds, the device will restart and go through the boot-up sequence.
Notes:
The forced restart or reboot will not delete any Data on your phone.
If completing the 7-10 second Reset does not recover normal functionality of the device, then press and hold the Power Button for a full 120 seconds while connected to a charger.

Hi Guys I just tried doing a hard reset. Went into the settings punched in 1234 and then it just froze. Its saying preparing your device for first use. Please wait. The home screen will appear when the process is complete. How long does it usually take because its already been 15 minutes. Thanks guys...!!
If you are using a stock ROM it should only be "Preparing" for about 1-2 minutes. If you are Using a custom ROM the wait time will vary: Depending on what is being loaded to the OS.
Try pressing the Soft Reset button & starting the Boot process again. If that doesn't help then try another Hard-Reset. To hard reset, Do the following:
1} Pull out battery
2} Replace battery
3} Hold the Vol. Down, & Action button
4} Press Power button
5} A Greyish screen will appear with blue lettering. Release the Vol. Down, & Action Buttons
5} Press Vol. Up {If you press Vol. Down @ this point you WILL wipe out everything on the Internal Memory card}
6} Follow instructions on screen
If another reset doesn't help, I would recommend reflashing the ROM & trying again.
Hello ..
I am Brazilian and I'm in Spain ... I have a "Motorola Razr I" phone and there was a problem in the android system. I have the version "Jelly Bean" installed.
The unlock pattern has been wrong more than 25 times, causing it to be asked to the Google account and password. I know what my account and my password, but the system does not accept it.
Already tried the recovery and factory options and nothing worked. Does anyone know what can be done? I'm really needing my phone to connect with my relatives in Brazil.
Thank's!

how to enter recovery/download mode on my lg l90 d410?
Install flashify from play store it has a reboot to recovery option or
Power off the device
Press and hold Power + Volume down
When the LG logo appears on the screen, quickly release the Power button, still holding the Volume down button, and press and hold Power again until the "Factory Reset" screen appears. Don't worry, this won't reset the device.
Use the volume keys to navigate up and down and Power to select. Scroll down and select "Yes" and repeat once more. It may take up to 10 seconds for the device to boot to recovery. Make sure you had a custom recovery installed or this will factory reset your device

Hello all,
I used Mofo to flash Computerfreek274's image 1.5.3a. His thread states that the cache needs to be wiped after flashing. While still in fastboot mode, and after flashing the image, I used the volume keys to select Recovery. Hit the power button and then I have an image of an android that fell over and a red exclamation over it. No text on screen. If I use the volume keys, nothing happens. If I hit the power button the phone turns off.
What step did I miss in the instructions? Or what is the correct procedure to wipe the cache?
Thank you,

Thank you! I have it wiping now. Initially, from a powered off phone, I tried your steps, but that just booted the phone. For other newbies, here is a more detailed process.
WIth the phone powered off, hold Vol-Down, then press the Power button (while still holding Vol-Down). Release both buttons. Fastboot mode starts. Use vol (arrow) keys to select Recovery mode, then pressed power button. Motorola logo appears, and then the android with the red exclamation mark. No text on screen. Hold down Vol-Up for a few seconds, then press power (while still holding Vol-Up).
Now there is text on screen. Use vol keys for arrow button and highlight "wipe cache partition." Use power button to select this option.
Screen changes to Android standing up with a blue bar at the bottom of the screen.
Now wait. Other threads have stated the wipe may take 30 minutes to complete. Phone should power off once wipe is complete.
Thank you,

Just an update, my wipe completed. It did not take very long. The phone restarted on its own and came right up. Everything working at this point.
