[Q] system app - G 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey can anybody help
After rooting i uninstalled some system app
And when I heard removing system app makes phone unable to update through ota
And I want to install the system app but when I install the uninstalled system app it installs as a regular app but not as system app help plzzzz I'm on 5.0.2 lollipop

flash stock lollipop rom. I think that the only solution.

Obviously your phone is rooted, so just push the app in the "system/app" folder and restart your phone. VoilĂ , the app ist installed as "system-app"!

Hey I moved all apps to system that I have uniatalled
But my question is would I able to get the next ota update 5.1
Because I thought to install the update 5.0.2 once again through recovery mode
There was a error hangounts enexpected content update is aborted
So what I have to do to get the 5.1 update

You need root access for a game to run properly? I wouldn't trust that game. And all of the latest updates for our 4.3 ROMs have working root so you shouldn't need to install SuperSU.

Can you please help me with Omni Rom Nightly updates

Hello,
I go to settings > about phone > System updates check to see if updates.
If update is there I select flash now.
The phone reboots into CWM and I have no idea then what to do.
Can someone please explain how I can update from there?
Cheers
the auto system upates only work on twrp recvery. if you want that function, you need to use twrp recovery. if you want to keep cwm recovery, you need to manually flash the update. the update you downloaded is in the folder opendelta, just go to opendelta folder and flash the updates.

when doing system update, if im correct the update should be downloaded in the OTA folder in your internal sd card and after going into recovery mode you have to select install zip from sd card and find the downloaded update and flash it

Installing OTA update with TWRP recovery?

I've been getting the "System update downloaded" card popping up over the past day on my Live, but I can't install it. It needs to reboot to recovery and install it, but I have TWRP installed, so it just goes to the recovery main menu and does nothing.
Is there any way to install updates with the way my watch is currently, or do I have to flash stock recovery, update, then reflash TWRP?
Did you get it to work?
I flash stock wear recovery, then installed update. Went into recovery and started to install then it stopped and gave me the android with the triangle.
Downloading update from android police, i will try to adb sideloade update.

No, the exact same thing happens to me, and I get "Status 7" error and the same screen you got.
I used Tomsgt utility to lock bootloader and stock recovery.went to settings, system updates. Started to download update. After it downloaded flashed update. All is good. I'm on 5.0.1
Good luck! Let me know if this works for you.

I had to flash the stock KMV78Y located here before I could update (that's what the status 7 was about).
All good now.

Cant remove system apps after nougat update

Hello, i flashed my note 5 with the official nougat firmware through Odin. Now i am unable to remove system apps such as the Microsoft apps, email, internet etc. I tried using "system app remover(root)" which shows failed uninstall. Then i tried using titanium backup after which my phone got stuck at the samsung logo during restart. I had to again flash the official firmware to get my phone working.
Any help to remove system apps will be highly appreciated
Solved: I manually deleted the apks by using root explorer and now it works fine.

Try a rootchecker to see if rooted properly. And maybe grant system r/w access
Thank you, was stuck with the same problem, root explorer worked.
