I noticed after upgrading to the X from my DINC2 running MIUI that my sound quality over Bluetooth in my car got way terrible. Did some research and found a thread over in the GNex forums about a fix for it, but it seems like it only works on the GNex (google 4.2.2 A2DP fix and it should be one of the top hits, can't post links yet ) ... besides I don't know how to adjust permissions of a file...
so... is anyone else experiencing this? or have a fix? I'm rooted, on ATT, running 4.2.2.
thanks!

I have the exact same problem. In fact, I also came from a Droid Incredible 2 as well. My Moto X is VZW stock. I'm getting lots of crackling/static. I was used to very good quality, but with the Moto X it is unusable. I actually posted a separate thread, didn't see this one at first... What brand/model of bluetooth receiver are you using?

I read as well that it seems to be a system-wide android thing, and while there seems to be a fix for Nexus devices I'm afraid to try them on the X...
I'm just trying to connect to my car, it's got bluetooth built into the stereo and the DINC2 was great with it but now all the mids sound crackly as hell..
I have the same issue as well, I filed a bug report with Motorola about the issue and posted on several moto employee's G+ pages and was told they are looking into it. I hope this means it is either fixed in the OTA rolling out currently or will be fixed in the next OTA.
I really hope this gets fixed. The sound is full of static

My daughter is trying to set up the voice assist and no matter how quiet it is it says it is too loud. I tried it in a closet in a room with the door closed (insert tasteless joke about coming out of the closet here!) and had the same error. Any suggestions or is this a known issue.
Thanks
Craig
Try it late at night when everything is much more quieter, you'll have much better results. You might feel its quite enough but the background noises really affect the setup. Also, make sure you place the phone and speak as shown during setup, it does help when held in that particular way.

I have the exact same issue with one moto x 2014, I return the unit (for other problems).
Hi, I have the same problem here.
The thing is, it only broke after Moto Voice update. I'm using a Moto X XT1097 Retail Br, and it worked just fine the week I bought, then the app had an update and it stopped working
I was enjoying so much the voice control, please come back! lol
Hey guys
Play store shows that Nfs No limit is not compatible with my device i.e moto x 2014 (xt1092). If anyone having similar issue please tell and I appreciate the one with reason of this problem.

The problem is with EA games. They blacklisted the moto x 2014 as being incompatible. Nothing any of us can do. Complain to EA games... but I doubt they will do anything.

I already have had a conversation with EA games and firemonkey studio they told we are working hard to add more devices & this is some firmware issue. Anyways thanks.
Is NFS no limits working for anybody on Moto X Play. Mine on starting just shows some black screen after the splash. And it just doesnt start. Does everyone face the same thing?
(Moto X Play xt1562 stock mm+root+squids kernel)

It seems to be a problem with the Marshmallow build. The app runs fine on 5.1, and if i am not mistaken, this situation is being experienced by Moto X Play users only, and for some time (play store comments). Your root acess or kernel aren't the ones to blame :good:
same to me

Moto X Play XT1563 Stock don't work factory reset 2 times...
NFS No Limist & KRITIKA games don't work
EA should seriously fix it. The older NFS was so good and now they do this with the new one.
Yes, For me also the same situation. Recently upgraded to marshmallow. It was working fine on android lollipop. I think the issue was with the game itself. Hope EA will resolve this issue soon.
OK so I've had a nexus 6 since they came out but recently I went back to my moto x pure edition. Now I'm back to the nexus. The thing is I have a new truck. The moto x it's ok with the Bluetooth. A few things down work right but I can deal with it. This nexus however. Will only stream Pandora. You can't make or receive calls. I know Chevy has said it's on there end. So I'm wondering is anyone using a Rom that the Bluetooth integration is functional with the my link system. Not asking a best Rom just are there any that work with it and what are they. I'll be trying them myself but if some already know and can speed up my search I would be very greatful.
@pacman377,
I'm surprised to hear that it's a vehicle problem. My N6 (stock, July security update) connects via BT with no problem, to my '14 vette.
Mine stock rooted and bootloader unlocked and it doesn't work. I've done a lot of reading since I've been at work and a lot points to Marshmallow not working in a variety of different vehicles. The moto x was on 6.0.1 and it was ok. A few problems but it worked. Some say it has something to do with bt stacks others claim that Chevy knows there is a problem with Nexus devices on Android 6. I have heard one say the n preview worked so I'm going to see what happens with that first.
For what it's worth to those reading who might have some advice it's happening in a 14 Silverado ltz. It does work in my wife's 13 terrain and with the bt in the boat and my other truck.
I have a 2014 Silverado LT, and BT works flawlessly for me. As far as the phone function go's. I don't use Pandora, or other music streaming.
It was all just an illusion

Ok thanks man I've tried the N preview and a few ROMs they work one time and don't the next. Not really a pattern to it. Moto had sent me a replacement and I guess the BT is shot on this one.
