Hello to all devs! I am asking this because i see that cm 11 developing is more and more growing. I couldn't keep up with the dev of cm11 unofficial for personal reasons, so i am asking if someone could give me a heads up. I remember that oficial cyanogen rom kept the old blobs and our devs, were using new blobs. But after that there is only chaos... Could someone please tell me what is the point we are now?? What works to what rom, and what is buggy? I do not want to know what rom is better or personal opinions. Just the facts. Thank you!!!
Sent from my LG-P880 using Tapatalk
its simple all unofficial roms using p880-dev sources (unofficial) and all official releases are based on "official" CM11 sources
unofficial ones are based on grouper blobs but there was a problem with camera so @Adam77Root made a little hack to get it work. So now camera is working ( little bit buggy) video rec is not working till Adam end his hack, but screenrecording is working here and not on official. overall IMO grouper blobs seems to give a smoothier experience than official ones, and they can give us hope to bring future releases of android on our p880.
there was also many many other thingsXD
[ROM]NostromoPop 2.4.0 (25/10/16)[CM12.1][5.1.1]
This is the Unofficial CM12.x for the HTC One Mini 2 thread!
Project status so far is working!! I've had trouble finding the proper libraries and thought I'd bricked my device yesterday with an earlier build but then grabbed the CM11 latest and used libraries and firmware files from that and it works! Some apps seem to run a little slow but equivalents run fast so it's a per app issue and not Android 5 per se as Dalvik is gone and libArt is the main runtime. Otherwise it seems very very fast even compared to KitKat!
It includes all the expected functionality from CM and I've also added Apollo into the build!
Plus this build includes my own DPIChanger app to make things a little easier.

Log for current 2.2.5!
Massive massive thanks to the Google guys developing this and of course CyanogenMod and without a doubt, u-ra for porting the device initially and for maintaining the device trees and recovery image!!! And the Paranoid team for the Gapps.
Oh and use the latest recovery possible!! And if you are feeling adventurous or miss the old Xposed framework from JB and KK then try this from @rovo89 : Xposed

Thanks! All I did in the end was install CM11 latest version and grab a few extra libraries from my other build and it built successfully. First attempt was built using the libraries from before October and that nearly bricked it!
Hi, I'm new here. Flashed a lot one my HTC ville, but got a One Mini 2 now. Poor custom ROM diversity for memul, so thank you for your efforts.
On download page it says ...memul.zip but then for HTC One XL???
Just flashed Nostromopop, works great! Thanks dude for giving us Lollipop on One Mini 2!
For all followers: first boot took several minutes, this is not a bootloop. Be patient!
I'll report issues after some testing.
It works great. It's fast and stable until now.
My camera isn't working for now but we finally hand lollypop working.
Thanks
Nice work, only problems I'm having are audio fx not working and the camera app is slow/glitchy
Got some problems with the launcher I'm using (KK) but works fine now. Camera works for me. Can't find Apollo app, but that's no problem.
How can I restore my e-mail accounts from CM11 ? Not working with Titanium Backup.

You do realize this is a build of the stuff I'm pushing to the CyanogenMod repo? All the bugs listed in this thread are the reason there's no official nightly yet.

My apologies, didn't look at the repo for quite some time. Previous post edited

So it's mainly your work? Then thank you for your efforts!
The Nostromo build shows surprisingly few problems so far and I won't complain about things that do not work. I'm very happy to get a first lollipop experience.
It's great to hear that there will be CM12 for memul, I was not sure about this. There were so much ROMs for my HTC ville and there seems to be so few development for the Mini2. Future CM12 support is good news for me.

Yeah built it first for the One XL (my main phone) and then attempted the build for the Mini 2 and forgot to update the config/common.mk file in vendor/cm!!

Yep, hence the thanks in the first post. And as I stated all I did was built it with a set of libraries that worked. Also built a version of PAC Man a while back but could never get hold of the devs to get the build uploaded.
I'm also running your build of TWRP as it's the only proper recovery for this phone out there.
So all in all, without u-ra this wouldn't exist or would still be in development.
Just flashed the rom a few hours ago. After playing with it a bit, I would point out a few things.
1. The AOSP camera app hangs a hell lot and also freezes the phone. So an alternative camera app will be the suggestion.
2. It is almost as smooth as the stock rom.
3. I am really missing Xposed on this. Guess I'll have to wait for it or go back to stock.
4. There is a bit of a clicking sound in audio at the highest volume, something that was present in CM11 when I used it previously(Not sure if it is still present in the newer versions).
The only main gripe for me is the unreliability of the camera. I will try other apps, but nothing can beat the Stock Sense camera IMHO.
I strongly suggest that you take down this "ROM"
As this is only U-ra's work. You presenting this ROM is really stealing his shine as HE IS THE ONLY ONE really making anything for this device. We don't want to upset him by doing these things do we?
Let him present his work when it's fineshed!
When you touch a ball that's allready a 100% goal did you score?
Calm down. The record is already set straight. Also, posting builds is perfectly fine, as is using CM base to build other variants, so long as the credits are given and licenses followed.

Exactly and without u-ra we wouldn't have ROMs on this phone or a recovery at all! And now that full CM12 is up then that is now available and can be used from now on. I'll only upload builds for this when I have added custom bits etc. For example I've bene testing builds of PAC and am waiting on Carbon being available on 5.x.
First CM 12.1 build with Android 5.1.1 posted! Again this is purely until the official nightlies come out that u-ra has worked on so much but I've been running 5.1 for 2 weeks now and it seems pretty good!
After installing Xposed on my Cm 12.1 ( 5.1.1 ) whenever i do an normal reboot it showing ( Optimising App xxx of 122 ) It takes about half and hour to boot up the device. please tell any method to fix this , I'm very pissed .
I have the same problem, any solutions?
I got sick of it and downgraded to a Custom ROM based off of CM12. The ROM I'm using on my Galaxy Note 4 is Pac-ROM, I'm not here to advertise ROMs but I'm suggesting downgrading to CM12 again or perhaps finding other ROMs that are based off of Lollipop 5.0.x.
Try a pure AOSP or any other non-CM 5.1.1 ROM (but not MIUI). CM is too far from official Android to be fully compatible.
Getting the same problem with temasek cm 12.1 on my Oneplus One. It doesn't do it all the time but I'll say about 70% of the time it does it.

Try vanir ROM, a strip down version of cm12.1. It takes so long because it has to do with the ROM not able to pick up the mobile signal. I think install a log cat animation script by chainfire from the okay store will speed up the boot process, plus it looks cool.

Android 6.0 isn't even fully deployed to nexus devices yet, you'll have to be much more patient . We will probably see 6.0 CM or AOSP roms relatively soon. I'm not expecting any 6.0 rom based on HTC Sense UI. CM13 development started about 10 days ago btw.

Custom Roms
As I am sure you know of by now. There are some unofficial cm13 roms on XDA threads that will bring Marshmallow on the Htc One m7 for both GSM and verizon/sprint variants. As per usual these roms are in early stages so bugs are expected. Overall the roms I have tested work smoothly and features like doze, app permissions are present. Bugs like FC on camera while taking pictures and phone restarting when plugging headphones do annoy me a lot and thus I went back to stable 5.1 roms. You could try the marshmallow roms out of curiosity like I did, but you probably should wait if you want to use them as a daily driver for your phone.
Hello
I've didn't heard anything
VanirAOSP
I recommend the VanirAOSP ROMs. They're usually among the first to make builds of new versions of Android, and they do a great job of doing it in a timely manner while having a grasp on stability. As of their latest nightlies, the only bug on their Marshmallow builds is that the camera app force closes when you launch the camcorder app, but this is a bug with all Marshmallow ROMs. A big plus with Vanir is that they do support all M7 variants, which as a Sprint user myself, is fantastic.
I hope you enjoy it, and Happy Holidays!

Happy with 5.1.1 but is 6.0 better?
I'm a machinist and this is all Russian to me, my nephew rooted my phone due to no more updates anyhow my phone works great with this OS "t-mobile m7" but does it upgrade by itself by me checking like before or do I lose my game place and everything like before anyhow great job guy's it works great and I'm happy
as the snapdragon s4pro and 600 are very similar and other than minor things the nexus 4 and m7 are close phones on the hardware level, how hard would it be to port this rom?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/orig-development/wip-aosp-7-0-nougat-t3448444
would someone be willing to give it a go?
I have not been in the dev scene since pre 5.0 and things have changed enough that it would be almost starting from scratch for me I figured someone with experience porting modern roms would be better suited for the task.
Why should someone port this rom? We have already two nice working 7.0 Roms for the M7 well both are not in final release yet but you can use Slim7 as daily driver its pretty good http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/orig-development/rom-slim-7-t348665. Porting a Rom is a lot of work and Slim7 is AOSP so i think thats better
Porting ROMs isn't that easy, even with similar hardware. Building AOSP-based ROMs isn't easy as well. I'm working on it since two months, but it has its complications. If you want stock-like Nougat ROMs, I highly recommend the Slim7 beta, which isn't loaded with a ton of apps, or wait until I figure out the build of Nougat ROMs and get a working build of AOSP-OMS (which is pure AOSP but using CyanogenMod's sources and build system, so it's easy to build for the m7)
