Statusbar Mods - Signal Icons? - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm looking to get a Nexus 6 soon, I don't need much convincing on the actual phone itself, but rather the statusbar. Ever since earlier days with my Nexus S I've been afflicted with a fascination of signal bars on the left side rather than the right. Also, I like to change them to the IOS7 signal icons, but that's not as important to me as just having them on the left. Anyways... My question is, are there any mods (separate from ROMs or baked into) that will allow me to alter the signal icon position?
On the Nexus S there was Gummy ROM which took MIUI code to do it and on my current HTC One running Viper and they managed to get it working as well. I'm curious of anyone knows a way to do it on this device.

Yes there is an ios status bar mod thiough I havent tested it on Lollipop. There is also "Flat style staus bar indicators" xposed module which puts left or right, but to get iOS style itself, you have to purchase the pro version.

You could use Color Status Bar

You can give a try to Flat Style Xposed Module but can't assure you that it'll work on lollipop but giving a try won't harm

That's more or less exactly what I'm looking for. I won't be able to try it until I actually get the Nexus though. But thank you and everyone else for the responses.

Well there have been hacks to get rid of the bottom softkey row but it gets rid of it in all apps which starts a no-no.
Another method would be to use homescreens that are full screen... kinda like the ones you have to launch (basically an app). You don't really get rid of the bars, just have a program covering them up.
Another method, which I used to use, is to skin the bars with the same image so it appears they're gone, with just the background and icons and softkey text. It actually works well. Of course you need WM6.5 that allows skinning.
Other methods include "desktop" replacements like WAD and such. They basically skin the bars to your liking and works with older windows mobile OS's

Thanks Player911 for the advice. BTW, i am using WM6.5, so what would you suggest as best.
Please keep in mind i am running the Gen.Y Manila "Revolution" R1.5 VGA Port CFC with the Panaramic background.
I'd like to know this also...
And it'd be amazing if anyone ported this to vga...

Hey guys i put together a tutorial

GSII-Transparent-Status Theme (Just A Simple Transparent Status Bar)

I was searching all around the forums for a very simple transparent status bar. Decided to make one instead.
I'm new to all this hacking (just changed over from an iPhone 3GS) and right now a 2.1 mod and Metamorph are satisfying my needs.
Tested on 2.0, 2.0.1 & 2.1
Attached is my Metamorph file:
Enjoy!

Man thank you for making this. I asked about this in the Q and A section if maybe someone could make or if it was possible to have a fullscreen homescreen without that actual bar. But, transparent is very nice as well. Good work!
might want to specify which version of which rom this is for.

I reupped the .zip.
I might have accidentally upped a bad one.
This one works on my phone. I literally just applied it.
wheres the new file bro?
Its on the first page
I just brought down the old file and upped the new one. Its just the .ZIP thats attached.
A link to my site which is so much easier to Navigate on your phone is this:
http://androidthemes.webnode.com/
Just click Direct download To Phone and its so easy
Well love the idea, concept, and look. Unfortunately it looks like it only works for the Droid because my 2.1 Rom OpenEclair v1.1 on the T-Mobile G1 (HTC Dream) isnt metamorphing it.
id like to see this ported to a 1.6 rom, looks nice.
Did you use colorchange.jar? Can you give a quicky tutorial on how you changed it? I'd like to change mine but I am on 1.6
Main question. Is it fake transparency or real, transparent statusbar.
Thanks for your shared...
Looks good on CM5.0.5. but it lacks any sort of icons that are somewhat important to me

[THEME][WIP] Classic Doctor Who

This really has nothing to do with Doctor Who but I turned the SMS/MMS icon from 2D to 3D...
USB promt Android Guy with Tom Baker's (4th Doctor) scarf on...(I might expand a little on his costume)
USB connected promt Android Guy dressed as Peter Davison (5th Doctor)...
Sent from my Samsung Droid Charge 4G-LTE
Looking amazing I must say.
Good luck.
Regards
Very cool, can't wait to see the finished product.
Thank you very much gentlemen!!!
I'm still in the image planning stage. I want everything in this theme to be very deliberate. I see a lot of similar themes that take pictures of characters and randomly assign them as app icons. I want everything to be very Doctor Who specific without being too campy. Anyhow...
I'm using the TW4 launcher for this dockbar. (This is more of an idea right now. I need to clean the picture up some more.)
It's a bank of monitors that were copied straight from the real Tardis console of the 1980s. It's actually one monitor copied, pasted and blended to look like a whole bunch.
I like it cause it gives a little bit of the impression that you're operating the Tardis console to access those apps.
This dockbar setup is what I'm experimenting with on the GummyCharge AOSP launcher.
I changed the app icon to a section of the late 70s-early 80s console; on the left is the old telephone that is inside the Tardis's front door (it looks like ****).
And on the right (browser icon) is the Symbol of Gallifrey, and it needs to be brightened because it doesn't show so well on the phone.
I'm not sure if I want to use TW4 as a base (cause it's really cool and actually working right for a change) or if I want to modify the AOSP launcher in a similar way.
I'm gonna have to learn a little more coding and fix some of the TW4 launcher's bugs. I'll probably just use both and do 2 releases.
If anyone has any ideas for the theme, please feel free to suggest.
my daughter loves this i would like to download it for her droid 2. where can we get it thanks for your time and work
I've been hoping someone would do a Doctor Who theme. Will this work for stock phones or will you have to be rooted?
Tardis battery icon?
Did this ever get released?

[Request] Screenshot of the Lock Screen

Can Someone please post me a Screenshot of the Lockscreen with Stock LP 5.1.1 ? I need to compare and examine the width of Entire Notification Area.

Ahh Perfect! Thank you very much! Confirmed my Suspicion. you do have that blank space above Status icons. So its standard AOSP.

aosp and stock are two different roms. you dont believe me, try using the aosp browser on stock(it wont work, aosp has a different framework).

Ok So let me be Specific. You guys deserve the full story.
I develop Slim Rom for Galaxy S3. When on LP 5.1.1, I noticed a larger space berween upper screen edge and Notification icons. I first thought that we need to change the overlay config. But then I realized, this could be the AOSP Google code which increased the spacing. So I wanted to check up on a Nexus Device to see how that "Stock" faired. From the screen above, its clear to me that the AOSP Overlay config I have doesn't need a "fix" but instead its how its supposed to be. Hence my last comment.

(Q) Change Pulldown Menu Icons?

Is that possible? I thought I've seen some screen shots with different pulldown menu mods but multiple searches yield nothing. Is this even a thing?

May be an Xposed module but otherwise would be in the themer's territory. Could also be AOSP and their mods. AOSP and CM not always the same as Android.
I haven't used cm in years but I thought exposed wasn't working on 5.1 aosp?

Think it works on stock. I don't use AOSP, CM or Xposed so not sure. I use stock all hand hardcoded with Lean Kernel.
Xposed is alpha (experienced users) but there is a 5.1 version
Use a custom rom

you can add them, remove them, and change whats there, but its in m right now, only. or, you can use a custom rom that includes the option.

You mean like this? If so, the only way I have seen it done it's with Layers and he ROM has to support it. I believe it can be done with the CM theme engine, but I have been seeing a lot of negative stuff to include security flaws with their theme engine.
