Ahh Perfect! Thank you very much! Confirmed my Suspicion. you do have that blank space above Status icons. So its standard AOSP.

No Buddy. It's fully stock.

aosp and stock are two different roms. you dont believe me, try using the aosp browser on stock(it wont work, aosp has a different framework).

Ok So let me be Specific. You guys deserve the full story.
I develop Slim Rom for Galaxy S3. When on LP 5.1.1, I noticed a larger space berween upper screen edge and Notification icons. I first thought that we need to change the overlay config. But then I realized, this could be the AOSP Google code which increased the spacing. So I wanted to check up on a Nexus Device to see how that "Stock" faired. From the screen above, its clear to me that the AOSP Overlay config I have doesn't need a "fix" but instead its how its supposed to be. Hence my last comment.

This is based off a BlackMod theme I've been using since my original Droid. Simple black bar and icons based off Sense, pull down has been modified slightly. No other changes. Install with MM and reboot.

EDIT: forgot to mention that I changed the pop up windows (3rd screenshot) to match the Droid X. I think it tones down the blue just enough.

Link doesn't work.
I do like the sense notif and galaxy s battery though.
Sorry, works now.
yeah, I thought the blue battery worked well since the rest of the Galaxy theme was blue-centric.
i applied it, rebooted, and everything was still the same lol
Hmm...try again? I've heard sometimes metamorph is picky.
twice so far and nothing. i tried to unzip it through metamorph and applying it and unzipping it on my computer and applying it. both didn't work
Was there any sort of error, or does it appear to be working and then nothing changes?
it appeared to be working, but then nothing changed. I just redownloaded the file and it worked. thanks! looks good
Ok, glad you got it working.
looks great thanks

do you have to be dexoded to use themes?
Quick question,
If I were to use this and want to revert back to the stock look (for whatever reason) what would have to be done? Are there certain files I should backup or just the respective system/framework .apk's?
Thanks!
I made a set of battery icons to be placed in framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi
icons are 48x48 but get resized automatically by android system

I might use it if it were optimized for the size of the status bar with cleaner looking lines, ie not auto resized by android

what difference does it make if they are optimized for ONE specific screen resolution? you do realize depending what device you are on, it will have to re-size it anyway.
this happens with ALL STOCK IMAGES.
so again, why wouldnt you use them, Mr. 35 posts?

Wow, holy **** first of all settle down.
It must be the compression on your screenshot making it look a little off. I'll give it a shot.
And what does my post count have to do with anything? That is completely irrelevant.
ok swearing is a no no here.and assuming that they wont work rather than asking isnt the best policy either.
also it wouldnt be the compression of the image posted rather the fact that it shows almost tripple actual size.
I don't see anything in the Forum Rules about cursing.

This is really nice. Good work!
Is this legit?
Found it after searching for CM11s (Since thats what i been running on my N5) and i came across this video of a Mako running CM11s.
Now the video is just a screen recording and the 'about phone says mako and everything check out but all that is easily changed with a quick build.prop edit.
anyway here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgxK25xhI2c
looks like everything is working.
It still is a cool find even if its not the real thing. I'm downloading it now.
Isnt it CM11s is specific edition built for One plus one phones, housing changes related to one plus one?

I'm running CM11s on my N5. That's the beauty of android.
Ok, so what difference did you found between CM11 and CM11s
Just extracted it. It isn't the real cm11S. Its cm11 as a base plus some one plus one apps. Still cool though

Thought so. I was skeptical since the person didn't showcase the lockscreen or any features that are unique to CM11s.
Lockscreen is there.

Awesome sauce
I wonder if she can update to newest nightly... Anyone tried to contact the dev on video?
There is a port out there of cm11s
Hey could someone perhaps upload the latest version of hexo and hexo icons? It would be much appreciated.

at this point only the lockscreen and the camera app, the rest are the same
Is it possible to use the lock screen on stock aosp? That's the only thing I like about cm11s, I have every other feature with using faux kernel and gravitybox.

As far as I know, it only works on CM11
I'm looking to get a Nexus 6 soon, I don't need much convincing on the actual phone itself, but rather the statusbar. Ever since earlier days with my Nexus S I've been afflicted with a fascination of signal bars on the left side rather than the right. Also, I like to change them to the IOS7 signal icons, but that's not as important to me as just having them on the left. Anyways... My question is, are there any mods (separate from ROMs or baked into) that will allow me to alter the signal icon position?
On the Nexus S there was Gummy ROM which took MIUI code to do it and on my current HTC One running Viper and they managed to get it working as well. I'm curious of anyone knows a way to do it on this device.

Yes there is an ios status bar mod thiough I havent tested it on Lollipop. There is also "Flat style staus bar indicators" xposed module which puts left or right, but to get iOS style itself, you have to purchase the pro version.
You could use Color Status Bar

You can give a try to Flat Style Xposed Module but can't assure you that it'll work on lollipop but giving a try won't harm

That's more or less exactly what I'm looking for. I won't be able to try it until I actually get the Nexus though. But thank you and everyone else for the responses.
Is that possible? I thought I've seen some screen shots with different pulldown menu mods but multiple searches yield nothing. Is this even a thing?

May be an Xposed module but otherwise would be in the themer's territory. Could also be AOSP and their mods. AOSP and CM not always the same as Android.
I haven't used cm in years but I thought exposed wasn't working on 5.1 aosp?

Think it works on stock. I don't use AOSP, CM or Xposed so not sure. I use stock all hand hardcoded with Lean Kernel.
Xposed is alpha (experienced users) but there is a 5.1 version
Use a custom rom

you can add them, remove them, and change whats there, but its in m right now, only. or, you can use a custom rom that includes the option.

You mean like this? If so, the only way I have seen it done it's with Layers and he ROM has to support it. I believe it can be done with the CM theme engine, but I have been seeing a lot of negative stuff to include security flaws with their theme engine.
