Hi guys,
I have been using Android OS for not much time now but just around past 2 years.
Prior to shifting to Xperia TX (the much-hyped Bond series phone), I had been a Samsung customer and had S II before.
What I have noted is that Xperia TX does have Wi-fi Direct feature but does not work as expected.
It was butter smooth for me to share files on S II through wifi Direct but that seems to not work on my Xperia.
I have tried all methods to use it but in vain. When I turn on the wifi Direct, it does connect to my S II but does not move ahead. In addition, there is no option on TX to share via Wifi Direct.
I am left to use third party apps to use normal Wifi hotspot feature.
Can anyone please help me with how to use wifi direct feature on Xperia TX?
(P.S. I know that Android beam does not help in Wifi Direct. It is specifically dedicated for NFC. Galaxy S II does not have NFC feature. Please help me in knowing how can I use just WIFI Direct for sharing files much has music and videos)
Thanks!!!

Hello
Does anyone in here has both the xperia z and the fitbit flex , if yes then does your band gets synced to your phone without any trouble ? or does it get sync at all ?
I am opening a seperate thread for this as on their support website they say only samsung and iphone devices but they also do say that it supports BT4 .
since xperia z also does have BT4 i was wondering if it does sync at all.
any help will be appreciated .
thanks in advance.
I have a FitBit Flex. You can 'see' the Flex from the Xperia Z, but it can't pair nor sync. Hopefully 4.3 will bring us closer, but I think there would need to be an update to FitBit as well.
I've tested the pabx 4.3 AOSP build but this doesn't even 'see' the Flex, so I don't think that is a solution either.
I believe 4.3 brings the Bluetooth Low Energy code that FitBit use. Fingers crossed.

have you tried with JB 4.3 Google Play edition ROM? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2354328
I'm waiting form my FitbitFlex to be deliverd and I'm very sad that it doesn't sync with XZ
Hi All, I've updated yesterday my Xperia Z with the last official Android 4.3 ROM from Sony.
I still see the FitBit Flex... but still can't synchronize it, sadly. .
UPDATE: After looking at the FitBit Site, there is a "Beta" Version of the application, see at the end of this page: https://help.fitbit.com/customer/portal/articles/987861-android-device-compatibility"]https://help.fitbit.com/customer/portal/articles/987861-android-device-compatibility (sorry, I'm not allowed to post external link )
I've installed it and it seems that the application is now able to communicate with the Flex. I'll make more test tomorrow, outside of my home to be really sure .
I have a rooted Xperia Z running 4.3 with active Xposed Framework and the installled Flexbit sync module. The Flexbit can be seen and will sync in bluetooth settings, and on the latest app too. (Though you should turn off the auto sync in the Flexbit app setttings which is an awful battery drain, apparently). Without 4.3 PLUS root and theactivated Xposed Framework with the special Xposed module, sync wouldn't work as this "workaround" was required. I'm sure there is a thread on XDA for the module. NB even if rooted there is only one version of Xposed Framework that works with Xperia Z, 2.4.1. I believe. :
EDIT: this was the position before the beta app which I haven't tried, and which hopefully works with unrooted (normal stock) phones. See the post above.
I have the Flexbit Charge and since buying it have now found out that the android lollipop means the device won't connect via bluetooth no longer due to the update
Hi everybody,
A month ago I bought a new Sony TV with Screen mirroring technology, now a days I have a Xperia Z and I bought the TV to connect my mobile. The problem is that a few times the Wi-Fi Direct disconnect without reason!! The first time, I suppose that was my rom, I was using .67 stock rom and I changed to eXistenZ Ulta 3, the conection was ok until some days ago, when the coneccion between the TV and the mobile broke!!
I donĀ“t know if I am the only with this problem or somebody have it too... in this case... Could you correct it?? How???
Thanks for the help and sorry for the bad english I only know a little. :good:
Hello All,
I own an XPERIA Z (C6603 - European LTE) updated to 4.3 android version, and GPS is not working. GPS did not work with JellyBean 4.2 as well. I tested it outdoor, and I live in New York so it is not an issue of satellite coverage. Also, I tried to purge assistant data for GPS in the service menu, and nothing changes. Sometime the phone manage to get "Location set by GPS", but it only last for a couple of minutes and then it stukc on "searching for GPS" forever.
Can someone pls help me to fix this issue?
Thanks,
Matt.

It sounds to me like it's a hardware problem. I never had any problem with both 4.2 and 4.3 roms. Stock rom and rooted.
Hello everyone! I'm a newbie to XDA. Sorry for my bad English
I'm using an Xperia Z3 Compact Docomo. Recently, I found out a problem with wifi on my device. I've spent time to search for this for several time, but it's not like any opportunities there:
My device is running on Marshmallow. The Internet is very, very slow( of course I don't enable any Battery Saving Mode). I have flashed my device back to Lollipop, but the problem was still there. Then I flashed my device back to Kit Kat, the connection was ok. I thought that this problem is my device's firmware. However, when I used my device on Marshmallow to connect to my neighbor's wifi, there no problem with Internet connection. Then I flashed back to Lollipop and connect to my neighbor's wifi, the connection is still ok.
I think this problem related to DHCP, Mac address,... or something else like that but I don't know how to fix.
Now I'm running on Kit Kat in order to keep normal connection with my wifi. But I don't want to stay at this version because of the ancient interface, you know :crying:. I want to go to Lollipop or Marshmallow. Can you explain why and help me how to fix this problem ?
Thanks you!
