Hi, i flashed the CM12 rom, but it was very buggy so i decided to go back to pac-rom. But the cm12 rom switched to a cm bootloader, which sucks since i cannot flash rom from there.. But phone is working and im trying to flash with flashtool. Its waiting for flashmode, phone is off, i press the volume down and insert the cable, but nothing happens, i have installed drivers successfully. What happens on the phone side is that i see the sony logo, then the battery/charging. Help?

If the battery charging comes up, looks like the volume down button is not being recognized, check if you are able to get the fastboot/bootloader mode. press and hold Volume Up and connect usb should see a blue led, if so try flashing boot.img from any other rom, if possialbe system and userdata. you could try this ASOP ROM to start http://www.blinkenlights.ch/ccms/android/yuga-l.html
Anyone else? i get into cm bootloader, but there is no option to flash new rom..

Hey guys!
I have madea mistake and need your help... Today I finally decided to unlock the bootloader. That went ok. Then I wanted to install a custom rom, namely PAC. I was on stock 434 firmware. I then proceeded to flash boot.img from PAC to get the recovery (big mistake, I know). And now the phone is stuck turned on with a black screen and I cant turn it off at all
If i wait for the battery to die and then try to enter fastboot mode and install another boot.img (doomlord for 434 firmware) will that be possible or what should i do :S Hope its not permanently bricked...
Thank you for your help!
No big deal, just don't get nervous when things like this happen.
Ok, so first, to turn off the device, you have to hard power it off by pressing Power Button plus Volume Up together until the phone vibrates three times. Now that the phone is turned off, you might as well try to enter recovery by pressing volume up after the purple led flashes (if the kernel was installed correctly the first time).
If you get a black screen still, download EMMA Flashtool, follow the instructions to bring your phone back to life.
Now you are now on stock rom and kernel and you might as well give it another shot.
Keep in mind that flashing first the PAC kernel to get recovery is not a mistake. Kernel is not rom dependant, as long as there is a kernel with recovery booting, it don't matter if the rom is not compatible with the kernel (like in this time, you have pac kernel, and a stock rom over it, right?)

Hi, i have CM12 rom, but it was very buggy so i want to change back to pac-rom, thats not so easy turns out. twrp recovery was removed with rom and im left with cm recovery which has no option to flash rom. So im trying with Flashtool, i choose stock firmware, flashmode, its waiting for flashmode, i press vol down and plug in cable, i see sony logo and then battery icon but it doesnt enter flashmode. So how can i fix this? I Just want back to pac-rom, where people can call me without my phone rebooting etc.. Maybe i can try installing dualrecovery and flashing pac-rom via that? Pls help
In my Xperia Z, I am using Infected Builds Cyanogenmod 12.1 Lollipop rom
All things like Usb debugging, ADB, fast boot are working but that flash mode is not working......
when I press Vol down while connecting it turns Green but suddenly goes into red, I tried these things below
1) Using Flashtool
selecting flash mode then the ftf file and I waited for the notification to appear connect your phone
then I connected my phone pressing vol down again it turns into green but suddenly goes into Red
2) Using PC companion
I tried Repair Option, but that one also said me to connect my phone in flash mode
I also tried pressing vol up+ power button for a while to occur three vibrations (i.e complete shutdown) thn tried connecting to my pc while pressing vol down
3) Using Fast boot
I tried to flash Original boot.img but that too didnt work I dont know what else to do............
I am able to install new roms via recovery but I want install Original Stock Rom but Flashmode is not working If Anyone knows how to solve this prob please help me..............

Then perform factory reset and try again by enabling USB debugging and unknown sources
Hello all,
I've "inherited" my brother's Xperia SP. I've rooted it before, so now that I "own" it I've decided to flash a custom rom on it. When I flashed the rom and gapps, tried to restart, now it won't boot. I flashed using TWRP. Not bootloader is not unlocked, and neither can it be unlocked.
It doesn't even want to charge, I plug it in, but it is not reacting at all.
When I press the off button at the back, and the press the power button, I get a soft quick vibrate and then nothing happens. I go press and hold on the off button again, and try power + vol down. I get the middle notification light to flash green quick and then disappears. Nothing happens.
Help? I followed and read up instructions to install the ROM. I was on the 4.3 stock before flashing.
How I flashed: went to TWRP, factory reset, wipe system, install rom, install gapps, restart. Did I screw up somewhere? I feel like I might have, but I didn't think it would get bricked when I have a locked bootloader. Any insight to what might have happened, at least? Thanks.

I don't remember the thread, but the file name is this one: Slim-huashan-5.1.1.beta.0.12-UNOFFICIAL-20151119-1622.zip
Now that I go through the stuff, I see what you mean that witha locked bootloader I can only flash a limited selection of roms... What bugs me is that the phone isn't even starting up. Not charging. PC can't see it either.
When I turn on, just a soft vibrate and then nothing. I press the off button at the back, and then press and hold vol down + power, the middle green led flashes once, and then nothing. If I connect to charger and hold the off button, it vibrates three times and then nothing. I try again, it vibrates two times. I don't get it. :S
I feel like I screwed up big time. (won't be the first time) but I'm curious is this is really dead or is there something I can still do about it.
It's a softbrick. You need to find an official firmware for your SP and flash it flashtool. You can look on the forum for guides for this.

It seems you have soft bricked your phone by flashing that ROM.
For installing official firmware, this video tutorial can help you.

Thanks! I got it back! The video helped! :good:
I guess I'll stay on stock for now, and do more reading.
So after some confusion, I managed to get my Z1 rooted and got the dual CWM/TWRP recovery installed. However, I've tried flashing several ROMs in TWRP, but when I reboot, the phone won't start up. It will just vibrate when I push the power button. If I plug it in my PC , the LED will flash red. If hold the volume down and plug it in, it'll go to flashmode. If I hold in volume up and plug it in, it'll go to fastboot. But that's all I can do. It won't boot the ROM that I flashed and I can't get into recovery. The only way to fix this, is to boot into flashmode and use the flash tool to flash the .108 ftf file.
Please help. Why aren't any ROMs booting? What am I doing wrong.
EDIT: I am really at the end with this phone. Nothing but frustration. Someone please help, I've spent hours and tried so many different combinations of flashing in CWM and in TWRP. I've tried multiple times to flash with fastboot. I've tried everything I can possibly think of, the phone's bootloader is unlocked. Just every single custom ROM and kernel combo will simply refuse to boot.
