Question: Manual 4.4.2 Install - VZWDevEd

Hey folks,
I've got a completely empty phone and would like to manually install 4.4.2, including baseband radios the whole deal. I can use fastboot or ADB. Not sure if stock recovery will work when my phone is empty - am worried that the authenticity check would fail as /system is empty.
What's the best way to do this?
Thank you!
More than everything you need to know is posted in this forum already. Just gotta look around a bit and search.
This should get you started. Under "return to stock".

How to recover deleted photos without root/unlocking bootloader ?

I have Moto G XT 1034 and I accidentally deleted my photos. I tried to find recovery options but most of the recovery options require to root the device, now if I choose to root it I will first have to unlock bootloader which will wipe all my data and I will not be able to recover the deleted files.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks

[Q] LG G Flex d95920s CWM/TWRP?

So I'm on the latest software on my LG G Flex d959. (d95920s), and i want to put a custom recovery on it with Freedom Flex, but I'm scared. I was able to root using brute force on Stump Root, but i want a custom recovery. Just 2 days ago i was messing around with stock APK's in my phone, attempting to make my phone look like a G3, and i ended up getting in a bootloop. Im guessing i didnt have the permissions set right on one of the APK's i had put in my system/priv-app. Luckily i was still under warranty and was able to get it replaced. Anyways, Will Freedom Flex work on the d95920s? I want to put CWM on it and manually install DFUSE's stock rooted KK from the recovery.
Hopefully i can get some help with this!

Yeah it does and you could have fixed that boot looped flex pretty easily. Always remember rule number one.
1. Always make a backup before modding, flashing, changing, or installing anything you need root access to do.

[Q] Moto G stuck after flash

Hello everybody. First thing first you should know that I am a noob. You will see why in the explanation of the problem. Then...
I have upgraded my moto g to lollipop via OTA (xt1032 8GB). Didn't like it so I tried to to downgrade to kitkat. Success, but I got the screen flickering problem so I was looking for a way to get back the previous bootloader. I even tried to flash to cwm recovery. And that is the point where I did the (probably) most stupidest thing. Thinking that I could flash back the stock rom, I've wiped out everything with cwm recovery. Now I'm stuck, have nothing in the moto g except the bootloader screen (41.18), I panicked and I flashed the stock recovery with the moto tool, but I think I've worsened everything. Now it's the time for laughing. Ok I deserve it. The question is: can I do something to get back my moto g? I don't care if with lollipop (I will keep it as long it works), I'm in total panic. Now even adb doesn't recognize the device.
Thanks for reading all of this. If you guys can help it would be wonderful (don't be afraid to ask something in return because I will do almost everything! ).
Greetings.
Freddy.
P.S. There are surely problems with my english. Sorry about that!
Ok found a topic (http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/general/unbrick-method-t2794271) about how to unbrick and following the procedure. Flashed the Philz recovery with success. Now I'm following the OP procedure. In a few minutes the results...
After a few tries and a lot of strange errors that I decided to ignore I've been finally able to get kitkat back!!! Ok the screen is flickering like before but it doesn't matter. Learned a lot of thinks and discovered lot of useful tools!
Bye!

Not a good idea to downgrade a moto g and your posting in the wrong forum , you need to post in the first gen forum your posting in the 2nd gen 2014 forum. I'd redownload the stock lollipop ROM and flash using fast boot
http://www.filefactory.com/folder/c6cdedc45a775d27 find the one that corresponds to your model and carrier and country.
Thanks for the advice. In the end I've updated to lollipop because I was tired of all the "bugs" between the new bootloader and kitkat. Sadly I was unable to find a compatible version of the xposed framework, but I think I will just wait for the stable! .
Thanks again!
Freddy.

Stock ZV9 System Image, Boot, and ZAF For root

Hello there XDA members, recently I found a thread by konsolen regarding a root method which involves unplugging the USB cable from the computer at 9% of the download mode screen.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63449717&postcount=2
I have personally risked bricking my device and can confirm you can list the files in the system partition following those instructions. Don't really know what to do from there, so I went ahead and downloaded the KDZ and TOT extractor tool from the G2 forum and extracted the stock system partition from the unofficial ZV9 TOT, and uploaded them here.

I also included the ZAF and Boot bin files extracted from the TOT with the hopes that someone can edit them to make a seamless root for the G4. I included the ZAF because another member, Agimax made a flashable partition with access to fastboot mode for the G4 here. Hope you see this post pal.

That's about as far as I got on my own. Really hoping root comes to MM soon, as of now I'm stumped. Also, I don't know if root injection would work for this version of android, hopefully it does. I will attempt this tomorrow(have to set up a VM with Linux first).
