Sorry but in case you didn't already know, the sammobile link you provided is not only the modem file, it's the whole firmware (PDA + CSC + Modem).
About I9305XXUFOA1 modem (and also other previous 4.4.4 modems), I don't remember if it works with CM11 (or other AOSP based ROMs), AFAIK you have to use old 4.3 modems to use CM11 but I could be wrong.
And, if it dont works, will the old Modem Files be restored by Nandroid Backup ?

Modem firmware is not restored with Nandroid Backup, you have to flash a modem which is compatible with your ROM after restore.

Thanks for answering

Restore Galaxy S I9000 as stock.

Hello everyone, yesterday i got my new galaxy S i9000 and i did install latest CM9.
I was wondering, how do i get back the STOCK firmware with its original kernel(obiviously locked bootloader) and without root? Thanks to everyone who will help me!
Hi there,
you just have to install the galaxy S divers on your computer and use odin to reinstall the stock ROM. Go on samfirmware to choose the Stock ROM you prefer...
I can't find the official thread here on XDA, but you should be alright with samfirmware (look it up on google).
(tick repartition!!!)

just wanted to know that which method you used to root your phone and switched to cm9..?
When you are flashing a 3-file ROM (with PIT, yes, 512), TICK Re-Partition, when you are flashing a 1-file ROM (e.g. from samfirmware) do NOT tick Re-Partition

3-files (PDA, Phone, CSC) & re-partition (w/ 512.pit) is mandatory when coming from CM7/9/10, since those are using different flash layout (MTD vs. BML). So just grab some stock rom (JW4 for example) and flash it.
Only tick re-partition (leave other settings as they were) (SGS bootloaders aint locked so no need to worry about those..)
You should be fine with these instructions..I have flashed my phone several times like this (back from CM9 etc..)
Edit: btw, this topic should be in Q&A..
Why is everyone is replying ?Wrong section ..This is not a Q/A Section ..Please don't reply
Before i also mention that you posted in the wrong section:
You need to flash a PIT file and not only tick repartition, how should the partition layout gets changed if you don't choose one to change to??
Now that you know it:

[GUIDE] How to Make A CWM Flashable Modem for GT-I9100G

Tutorial for Making A CWM Flashable Modem
Many find it hard to get the specific modem (baseband) that is compatible with the ROM that they are using (flashing custom ROMs will still retain the baseband). Luckily, there is this thread [Bootloader] [Official Stock Firmwares , Kernels & Modems For i9100g] by neerajganga
However, not all modems are provided. Instead of whining and giving up hope and start the tedious process of flashing a stock firmware all over again just for the right baseband, why not make your own CWM flashable zip? It's really simple...
Instructions:
1. Download the right firmware (the one that contains the modem you require).
2. Change the extension of the firmware from .md5 to .tar (just delete off the .md5 by renaming the file and make sure the name ends with .tar)
3. Now you can open the firmware with Winrar or 7zip.
4. Extract modem.bin.
5. Download this preset CWM zip (with DXLP6 modem) modem_updater_i9100g.zip and replace the modem.bin inside the downloaded file with the one you just extracted. DO NOT modify other files.
6. You just made yourself a CWM zip with the modem of your choice...

[Q] Flashed rooted ROM - no CSC shown

Hi,
today I flashed this ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2178346 from rarog. Working fine, but after flashing, no CSC is shown with *#1234*.
Something I have to think about ?
regards
Michael
Flash back stock recovery and flash firmware again.
Then you can go back to cwm again.
I've noticed that cwm can't seem to handle the csc.zip update upon reboot correctly. This worked for me.:good:
Edit : You can also try to flash same firmware as CSC in Odin.
if you have cwm-recovery try this .zip sec_csc_XXAMBA3-for-cwm.zip - 33.43 MB :good:

And yes, I flashed with ODIN (2 Times) - same result.

You'll need linux or cygwin I think.
Download fw and extract the cache.img from it if i'm not mistaken.
you need to unpack your firmware ( .tar.md5 ) with 7.zip ... inside your firmware is a cache.img ....take the cache.img and upload it and post the link here ..... i will convert it and make a sec_csc_cwm_flashable.zip ....

No stock firmware of my country-which one to choose?

Hello,
I want to flash stock firmware from SamMobile, but my country is not there on the list,
So which firmware should I choose? I don't want to mess up things like modem or IMEI..
Thanks

If you use Odin you won't lose your IMEI number but yes you'll change your modem... flashing a full package might change it, but I'm not sure. In full package roms "PHONE" file contains modem's data... I've never tried to flash a rom without this file...or simply changing this file but it could be a posibility :S:S:S
Where are you from? Maybe we could find a flashable CWM modem file

thanks,
so what exactly is this modem? I mean, isn't the S5830 an international phone? so why does it need to have so many different modem types..
can I somehow save my current modem and install it later after flashing stock firmware?

Modem file contains data related with wireless connectivity, radio, network communications...
Yes you can to backup your current modem data, creating a flashable zip via CWM
Here it is the script
BACK UP YOUR ROM'S MODEM
1. Flash this zip via CWM
2. When the script finish you'll get a flashable zip in /sdcard/Backup_Modem with your current modem files

Always you flash a stock rom via Odin, you'll need to boot into stock recovery and do wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition to avoid the bootloop.
Then enjoy!

You'll need root and CWM to try it, do a backup first (CWM 5.0.2.6 Fixed) in case things get ugly
